A guilty pleasure. One of the few Jim Carrey movies I enjoy watching. Kid level comedy at it's best.

Without a doubt the funniest movie of all time. Jim Carey is maybe the funniest person ever, and Jeff Daniels isn't to shabby either. I have to say it is ridiculus that this movie is rated as low as it is. There are many classic scenes in this movie, and it should be listed #1. Dumb and Dumber should get the recognition it deserves.

Yeah, I'm disappointed at how this is so low on the list. This is one of those movies you can watch anytime and always laugh, Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are so great together and there are so many funny lines and sight gags. Jeff Daniels can make you laugh just looking at his face.

why the heck is this movie so low on the list? i've never seen someone match jim carrey as well as jeff daniels to utimately make one of the funniest movies ever. i'll admit there are better movies... but c'mon. my big fat greek wedding? while you were sleeping? no way, dumb and dumber is so much funnier! you never get too old to laugh at this kind of movie. if in order to be grown up, you can't enjoy a movie like this, well heck i'm not gonna!

This is Jim Carey at his best. This movie had me in tears the first time I saw it and I still love to watch it. It is grade school bathroom humor at it's best.

I love this movie! Jim Carey and Jeff Daniels both do a great job playing a couple of bumbling fools with sub-human intelligence. The writers did a great job of putting jokes in the script as much as possible, yet tying everything together. I'm tired of people who insinuate that one's preference in entertainment has anything to do with intelligence. Of course this movie is ridiculous and stupid, but it's also hilarious. Dumb and Dumber is not meant to be a cinematic masterpiece; it's supposed to be funny and entertaining, which it definitely accomplished. I'm not going to say that if you hated this movie, you have no soul or sense of humor or anything like that. Different people laugh at different kinds of comedy. I'm just saying that from my end, I can't imagine why someone wouldn't find this flick funny.

Perfect title for a dumb movie.

It was OK although the humour was a bit overdone. I tend not to laugh at forced humour. I tend to laugh at things when people arn't trying to be funny eg some young man acting tough and blowing off on the bus stop seat around other people.

The title refers to the intelligence of the people who give it 5 stars.

No this film is not Casablanca, but it is down right hilarious. Jim Carrey we know can do comedy, but the real surprise is Jeff Daniels he is excellent and extremely funny. It is that type of humor that has you busting a gut with laughter because of it's sheer stupidity but because of The Farrelly brothers it's almost sheer genius.

My all time favorite comedy. I love this movie. The sequel ruined it though.

One of the top 20 comedies of all time. This will be remembered as Carrey's funniest. If you like goofy physical comedy, it doesn't get any better. Carrey is the Jerry Lewis of this generation.

How about just plain stupid. Jim Carrey apparently feels that the more idiotic he acts the more people will think he is funny. He would be wrong. Also, he thinks that all that potty humor is funny too, but anyone with an I.Q. of over 50 should know better.

Bathroom humor is never funny to start with. This movie managed to bore me and make me sick at the same time.

I can't help laughing every time I see it. This was great. Jeff Daniels was nothing short of PERFECT for the role. And nothing needs to be said about good ol' Jim.

I used to think that this was a completely stupid, silly movie. And Jim Carrey is just a nuisance at times. But I now know that this movie is a genuinely amusing, good film. Nothing like a good trip to Aspen, California. If only the ending was different...

if people don't like this movie, they don't know what funny is.
