Just wondering if any one of the complainers had a minister that they actualy liked. So many of the same complaints are said about Creflo Dollar (c'mon w/ jokes about the last name, its not like named himself), Joyce Meyer, Joel Osteen, Kenneth Copeland, Gregory Dickow, etc. Do you have any positive sentiments about any minister? I'm curious as I'm new to the faith and trying to find out whose legitimate and whose not. Thanks.

Please stay away from this man and his ministry. My parents go to his son-in-laws church in Fort Worth, and have been following him since way back. They are now broke and living on Social Security. They've been tithing and supporting the Copeland family for years and years and buying into the fundamentalist system. It's very sad what they have become. Please don't let this man or any fundamentalist doctrine influence you.

UPDATE: Someone gave me this really good website which I strongly suggest everyone goes onto and reads this persons testimony, especially Copeland supporters: http://www.banner.org.uk/wof/mytest.html Put it this way, this persons testimony opened my eyes to how bad Word Of Faith actually is. She is not condemning at all and she doesnt force her opinions. Just read it, and youll know the truth behind Kenneth Copeland, thats if you are interested in searching for truth. If you have nothing to fear, read it with an open mind. Put it this way, this woman would have once defended Copeland just as the sceptics of this post of mine are doing. All as I can say, I think the Copelands should be in jail. They are no different to what you sometimes see on those A Current Affairs (or Dateline) programs where they do a story on a bogus builder who rips people off or a scam or con man. Just remember that a good con gets their money off the poor, or the sick! UPDATE: Read 1Timothy 6:5 which basically says 'Men of corrupt mind and void of the truth will teach that Godliness is a way to financial gain. UPDATE: Lately, Kenneth has given a whole week series titled 'Prosperity proven.' I've noticed that when Kenneth wants more money, he always titles his series on something positive like the blessings of God. Then he starts off telling us how God wants to bless us and do big things in our life. Then his fruit shows. He starts telling us how we should give until it hurts and even give our last cent away. And how God told him when he was poor and only had $20 to give it all to this pastor, and because of that, he became rich. Then he tells us that we should give and then starts talking about tithing. There is such a manipulative spirit in what Kenneth does. After listening to it, if you were gullible, you would feel guilty for not giving them ALL of your money and would give out of guilt. I am so sick of their manipulation and their 'obey God to be rich' doctrine. Plus they once did a two week series (late January) on the 7 things that make us prosper. Tithing was one of them, and they spent over half the time talking about tithing. They also said such rubbish like, we are under a curse if we dont tithe (tithes go to them of course!) Someone may say, but read Malachi 3:8-12 which tells us that God doesnt change and you are robbing God by not tithing. For a start, if you read verse 12, you will clearly see that God wasnt talking to us, but specifically to the nation of Israel who were under the Old Covenant law, but secondly, I say this to you, you should read Ezekiel 18:6 which God commands a man and a woman not to lie with each other if the woman has her period, or Exodus 20:8-11 which commands to observe the Sabbath day and keep it holy. And God cursed people far more for not observing the Sabbath then He did with people not tithing. If you are going to talk about tithing and reintroduce OT commands, you may as well go all the way and get into legalism, which Paul told us that if we do that, we are putting a curse on ourselves. So if you think about it, if you hold to tithing so legalistically, you might be under the curse! My message is you dont have to tithe. In fact, tithing is a false doctrine which has circulated around the whole church. You cant claim full obedience to God if you only obey some of the law. Because giving that 10% wasnt a full tithe. A full tithe involved giving away land and food and even animal sacrifices. I strongly suggest that anyone who feels condemned or disagrees with me goes onto this website, http://www.nomoretithing.org The orthodox churches didn't push tithing. Tithing is just a recent 25 to 35 year ago idea from some of the churches to raise funds. My advice to people: Do not give to Kenneth Copeland or Benny Hinn. If you are poor, you are better off putting the money in Gods hands and saving it up. As you get poorer, they get richer.

Kenneth is the real thing. I personally know his ministry gives to help other ministries that couldn't possibly offer anything financially in return. I'm getting sick of the negative comments from people that don't know Kenneth or his family or his inistry for that matter. If you don't want to be healed or prosper, then don't listen. Go be sick and broke. But above everything else, be quiet!

I would just like to say that Kenneth Copeland's ministry has blessed my life. Despite what others think of him it is my opinion he truly loves the Lord, and his teachings have helped my spirtual growth. One must remember that we should walk in love and not judge or critisize others. I find a lot of people misquote his direct quotes, and totally blow them out of proportion and surpised what some of them come with. In all the time I have listened to his sermons, I have never heard him say we are little Gods. In fact, he often says quit trying to be your own God by worrying about your circumstances God is your source and let him help you with a solution. Kenneth often preaches on many subjects other then prosperity and faith Contrary to what others critisize him for. He often preaches on walking in love, and this sermon my friend is what we need to do more of. My closing is this, trust in the Lord with all your heart and he shall direct your paths. He will instruct you which way to go. Rather than seeking man's approval, seek God's approval of your spirutal walk with God.

I really believe Kenneth and his whole family are really sincere for God. I feel they have the right intentions. I'm not sure whether some of the comments below are true or not (how some of the raters claim that Kenneth has said some unreal things about God.) To tell you the truth, I don't trust anyone's opinions or views who obviously must sit there ALL DAY on their couch, waiting for a preacher to make a mistake then keep a detailed record of what they said and when (and there a couple of people who do that, not naming names). I wouldn't be surprised if Jesus would laugh at that! On second thought, He is probably sad that someone would rather criticize then build up. Jesus wouldn't have done that, in fact he would have loved them and if they made a mistake, corrected them in love and in gentlness and in private. Jesus gets His pleasure in saving people's lives not condemming them. Read Luke 15:11-31 (this is one confirmation that Jesus gets pleasure in saving people's lives) This is the famouse story of the lost son and the master who was full of joy when that son was found. This is exactly what you should be like if you claim to be a true follower of Christ. If they have said anything wrong in the past, God has forgiven them because He knows what's on their hearts. God bless them and you.

Watched him for years just to see what he's been up to. I don't believe in the say it and claim it aspect of his ministry. What really blew me away was his Sinatra-like song and dance! I could not believe my eyes. I thought I was seeing things until I saw him him do it again on another broadcast. What exactly was he trying to prove? It was all so ridiculous. As far as Copeland saying that humans are gods, I find his theory ridiculous also. He is just saying what people want to hear. By the way, when Jesus said the poor would always be among us, he was not villifying them in any way. He was just stating a fact. I don't remember, however, him saying anything about partnering with blaspheming false prophets in order to become rich. Read your Bible and read it good and you will be rich in the knowledge of what Christ really said and meant. These televangelists are just feeding you baloney.

I've been a partner in his ministry for years. They have always been responsive and loving and helpful. All quotes I see here are taken out of context, many times these things were being said to make a point about ouselves and how we should view our own lives. I've heard most of the sermons quoted, and I can tell you this man loves and reveres God. I do not believe God wants me poor, cold, hungry, sick or suffering in any way. That is the message and the lifestyle the Copelands teach. If you prefer poverty, avoid them at all costs! I thank God for them.

Kennedth Copeland Ministries have always sent my family and myself free books and literature, prayed with us during hard times and encouraged us. It is obvious to me that we will know them by their fruit and I appreciate what Kenneth Copeland and his ministry has done to help me to walk in faith and love. Here's some food for thought. While watcing Jesse Duplantis with my mother last year, she began to ask questions and I was able to lead her to the Lord. People can criticize Jesse, Kenneth Copeland and Creflo Dolllar etc. all they want, but winning souls for Jesus is the most important thing we do. I praise the Lord that Jesse Duplantis was on tv at that time. It was the opportunit I needed to help lead my mom to Jesus!

I would not like to join the debate, but ask a question. All you guys who hate Copeland. Are you living victorious over sin? Ofcourse we all do sin, but I mean, do you hate sin and regularly defeat sinful drives in your life, by God's power? If you do, then please share how, because the only way I know how is to walk by FAITH in Gods promises of a blessed life. Surely to do this, you need FAITH teachers. Heres a final comment. When I was a kid, I always heard that Jesus died on a cross for me. It made no sense because I knew that I was not destined for crucifixion. When I heard that Jesus went to hell for me, that made sense. Afterall I knew that I was heading there. I knew that true redemption pays the price that is demanded. Jesus took my place. I knew that I was redeemed from hell.Isnt that good news. When I was a baby believer, at age 22 and still defeated by sex, drugs and rocknroll, I can tell you this: Was it not for the pure encouragement I found in Copelands preaching I would not have made it. It was at a Copeland conference that I first was helped to worship God with abandon and express love for Him. Just writing this now, my faith is refreshed as I stand with God's word and against the devil. If you are tempted by lust, remember, God has sworn on oath to bless you with a good partner. Dont throw it away. God really cares for every detail of your life. Sometimes the plans of God seem so distant from reality. That is why we need FAITH. Listen to the men and women who know how to believe God.

He is a good singer. I have one of his old vinyl albums. A long time ago I was able to listen to him. I understood where he was coming from. However, he has changed tremendously since then. You cannot extrapolate from scripture. Conjecture is not good policy. I'm sorry but HE DOES NOT KNOW what happened to Jesus when He descended but we DO KNOW that He took the keys of death away from Satan. He was victorious and Satan did not have any victory over Him. It also is conjecture that He died spiritually. He did suffer a great deal when He hung on that cross but as far as dying spiritually I would not care to speculate because it does seem impossible for the Divine to ever die spiritually. I believe there are better answeres to that.

No, no, no...you've got it all wrong!!! Meta-physics plagerized E.W. Kenyon who preached directly from God's Word. It isn't plagerizism when your preaching revealed knowledge from the Holy Spirit, like Bro. Copeland is, and Bro. Hagin did! The devil is imitating the real McCoy here, not the other way around. There is NO TRUTH in the enemy (Jesus told us this), therefore, he couldn't have made up anything. All he could do was pervert what God is doing. The Word Of Faith message ROCKS, because it's how God operates, and it's how He wants us to operate. You know, Jesus did say "Thy will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven" Of course, if you want to be broke & sick and live defeated lives thinking God is testing you, then be my guest. It's no wonder the world is laughing at Christians that believe this trash. Ain't nobody got any respect for failures! The problem is found in Romans, chapter 8. You fellas are carnally minded and can't understand what the Spirit of God is talking to His people about (the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me FREE from the law of sin and death) Maybe someday you meatheads will get it! Maybe... but, God bless you anyhow. Whatever you do, don't allow the devil to talk you out of your salvation. That ain't know way to go....

I can't believe the poor rating that this man of God has recieved from the unlearned public. All you guys have done is bash on him and pound on his name. even some of you quoted some of his messages that he got from the Bible. The truth is, the death of Jesus Christ was not a physical death alone. Jesus died spiritually and went to hell for 3 days so I don't have to. Jesus died for the sinner, everything that a sinner without Christ goes through, Jesus went through so we, who believe, don't have to. Kenneth Copeland is an Anointed man of God. He is by no means a false prophet. People who live in the flesh day after day and never experience spiritual living. Would never understand, Oral, Hagin, Hinn, Copeland, Meyers, Dollar, Hagee, or any other Word teacher. They find it hard to grasp the principles in their messages because they are quick to judge, and slow to find the truth in Gods word. All of these preachers are anointed to do what the Lord has commanded of them. " Go into all the world and preach the Gospel" I am a spirit and those who worship Me will worship me in spirit and in truth.

Blasphemous. You can twist the bible to say anything you want it to, For Mr. Copeland it's that he is a God but God is a failure. Jesus didn't pay for our sins on the cross. If that's what it took, ANYBODY could have done it. And on and on and on. It's hard for me to believe that so many people have such little value for Truth considering what Jesus said in John 14:6. By your words you will be justified and by your words you will be condemned.

Kenneth Copeland has said so many outrageous and dangerous lies about God and Jesus that it's almost a case of "Where do you start?" You can firstly listen to him here. This is where he calls God the "Biggest Failure in the Bible." http://www.rateitall.com/RP_Popup.asp?I=333BE5AF-C4C4-434E-A571-83224582D322&P=Y&U=57916&V=0 If that's not bad enough, Copeland preaches that Satan defeated Jesus at the cross!! (Does it get any worse??) He also says that Jesus dies spiritually and was tortured by Satan and his demons for three days in hell. Here are direct quotes with references: "The death of Jesus Christ was not a physical death alone. If it had been a physical death, Abel would have paid the price for mankind. He was the first man that died because of honoring God and His Word. If it had been a physical death only, it wouldn't have worked! And if He hadn't died spiritually, that body never would have died." (What Happened From the Cross to the Throne, Tape #00-0303) Kenneth Copeland: "Satan conquered Jesus on the Cross and took His spirit to the dark regions of hell" (Kenneth Copeland, Holy Bible: Kenneth Copeland Reference Edition Kenneth Copeland Ministries, 1991), 129.) "Jesus was dragged down into the bowels of Hell where He was beaten and bruised by Satan and his demons until Jesus could finally fight His way out of Hell 3 days later. Believer's Voice of Victory, September 11, 1991) (Classic Redemption, p.13) "He [Jesus] allowed the devil to drag Him into the depths of hell....He allowed Himself to come under Satan's control...every demon in hell came down on Him to annihilate Him....They tortured Him beyond anything anybody had ever conceived. For three days He suffered everything there is to suffer." (Kenneth Copeland, "The Price of It All," 3.) I have read some books by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, and a lot of what they say is great!! But that's what makes it so dangerous. Remember, it was Jesus Himself who said: (Matthew 7:15) "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. There is a lot more that can be said, but I truly don't want to offend people, rather warn them. Jesus Himself gave the warning, and the words spoken by Kenneth Copeland are in writing and on tape for all to see.

All theism is false. A vestige of humanity's unscientific infancy. People continue to hold on to these beliefs because: 1-They feel good. 2-They give immediate gratification. 3-They offer simplicity in an inescapably complex world. 4-They provide morality and meaning for those who want it given to them instead of finding their own way. 5-It gives them hope. But these are false hopes. Untruth should not be spread as truth, especially when it has caused so much hatred and war and undeserved shame as has religion. All evangelists are causing harm.

He’ll tell you that Jesus went to Hell and that man once could fly like the birds. Not to mention that he himself has had some very strange out of body experiences. Copeland is another raving maniac making lots of money but very little sense. Along with Benny Hinn, he and his sidekick wife are at the top of my “avoid at all costs” lists.
