What we do know is that a woman who contributed to the ministry for 20 years and who trusted the Crouches enough to send her manuscript sued Crouch for plagiarism (Omega Code)- seems her story was virtually identical in many respects; they wound up giving her a settlement that pleased her from what I read. The poor lady has scleroderma - a horrible- and fatal- illness. Perhaps the poetic justice seems to be that the Crouches haven't made back anywhere near what they spent on the film; I hope much of it went to her. How can they justify living that way while they are constantly asking for funds for the ministry and the poor? I wonder if they, in their gospel of prosperity ever read the Scripture Lay not up for yourselves treasures on earth where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt.. for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Jesus' words Mt 20: 19-21, and see v24 (ye cannot serve God and mammon). The point being made is if your heart is set on riches when you tithe or give offerings, you are not serving God, but mammon! God promised us an outpouring of blessings when we tithe- He did not promise we'd all be wealthy. Jesus also said it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle that for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God.

I will pray for all of you condemning these people or poking jokes at them. Even Jesus said in the bible to go and be checked that this healing took place. If God made man and gave man the ability to learn and develop methods to help treat disease then this is not a decison of doubt by Jan or any of these Christians. It is using the God given talents and abilities and resources available to them. Faith based healing is not about ignoring Doctors but believing in the power of God to heal in whatever manner available including (not only) the laying on of hands and praying and seeing an immediate miracle. Not all people are healed this way. Some are even healed by just passing on to heaven. This is also a form of healing. Please be open minded and not judge but see that resources, all resources come from God and the idea is that His purpose is higher than what we sometimes even know or understand. The thinking and judgements that I hear are cynicism and not about faith. Faith can be in anything including Gods healing in medicine through God. Please remember that we all have our own quirks and whether it is pink hair, bald heads, overweight, drugs, or whatever. I haven't seen the first perfect person since Jesus and we can only pray that we measure up to a small percentage of Him. Please be kind to others. I am not anyone but a single voice with a belief. Do what you want with what I've said but my heart is pure and I pray the best for you.

If Jan Crouch truly believes God will heal anyone who has enough faith and that Benny Hinn is anointed of God to heal the sick, then why did she seek out doctors and surgery for her colon cancer? Like all the Word of Faith preachers, she tells others to just have faith but when it comes to her own life she turns to the world for healing and makes excuses as to why it wasn't a faithless gesture on her part. Joyce Meyer did the same thing when she had breast cancer. It just ticks me off that these people say and teach others to have faith for healing, but at the first sign of cancer (Betty Price had stomach cancer and took either radiation therapy or chemotherapy for it), heart disease (R. W. Shambach had bypass surgery), etc. rather than going to their so-called faith preachers they run right to their doctor's office looking for a cure through medicine, surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, etc. They are such hypocrites!!! When I first saw her, I immediately noticed the pink wig and the too unnatural lips. I noticed she had plastic surgery - you can just tell with some people by just looking at them. I'm guessing she's about 70 - it's high time she presented herself in a fashion that's more respectable. At least Joyce Meyer presents herself in an appropriate manner of dress, hair and makeup for her age. Although Plastic Surgery at the expense of the ministry, both are guilty, is not acceptable. God loves you for what you look like without the surgery. What matters is where your heart truly is - and that should be with God, not things, not money, not possessions or power. I find this woman utterly appalling. She visits all these unfortunate children, acting like she's doing them a service when all she's really doing is frightening the living daylights out of them. Jan is VERY much into the plastic surgery, pink wigs, jewels, and tears. She might appear sincere to some, a monstrosity to others.. but the person she appears to be on TV is not, and I repeat NOT the same person she is to her employees. I've been working for TBN for 9 years (an affiliate) and she is the worst boss I have ever had. We get weekly mandates straight from her desk on every aspect of our lives. We have to sign these every week or we are fired. They micromanage every detail, and often change entire policies from week to week, all the while blaming the employees and calling us pin heads and other fun names. They treat their employees like dogs. I have recieved more fair treatment from my secular employers than I do there. The only reason I stay is because we feel the local show is a ministry. We don't deal with Paul and Jan directly thank godness, but if their Christian character was judge soley on how they treat thier employees, the would definately not pass. I hope they have touched some people's lives in a positive way, but it is entirely at the expense of their overwork, berated, underpaid employees.

Agree we should not make fun of the Crouch's appearance-wise etc. but what they are teaching is not biblical. The apostle Paul gave many warnings about false teachers in the last days. We need to be careful to know the Word for ourselves so we will not be deceived.

All theism is false. A vestige of humanity's unscientific infancy.
