Josh Whedon did a terrific job of blending the sci-fi and the Western. This was a nicely cast, interesting sci-fi entry that held my interest from the first episode to the last. Sure there were the frustrations we all feel from time to time, even in the shows we love, but overall, this turned out to be a good show with lots of imagination.

Maybe not the best show, but certainly the best written science fiction series of all time, and arguably in the top 10 best written television shows of all time. The precise uncompromising dark humor, the subtle politics, the nuanced character development, and just a lot of fun with some very dark topics made for a series unfortunately too far ahead of its time to last.
