I finally saw this movie and it was awesome!!! I think what put the icing on the cake was Kevin Spacey... he played his character so well I think I'm gonna name my dog Verbal.

Any movie which has a n unpredictible ending has got to be great in this world of cliches. This movie it smart witty and a brain teaser if you like to be more than entertained for your money's worth. Kevin Specey...he is not my hero but in this movie he's the man.

I have seen this movie more than twenty times and could see it twenty times more! Besides the fact that this film has an incredible plot, a sharp script, expert direction, brilliant acting, and an awe-inspiriring score: let's not forget the editing! The roundup and the interrogation room scenes are a film editor's wet dream! And the last ten minutes of the movie was exhilerating! Especially that one shot of Kevin walking like a cripple and then walking normal! God, that was breathtaking!!!! This film won best original screenplay and best supporting actor for Kevin, but it deserved to win so much more!

This movie was so witty and clever. Kevin Spacey couldn't have done a better job at playing the part, and I can truly say, I did not waste ANY of my time, at ANY point in the movie. There wasn't one scene in which I was bored in. I was anxious to find out who the big bad guy was . :o)

My all time favoite suspense movie! Kevin Spacey is superb as Verbal Kint, a character you will never forget. And of course you can't ignore the Oscar caliber performance of Gabriel Byrne as Dean Keaton. The ending is one that can never be forgotten even by the most jaded of movie critics. A MUST SEE!

I am amazed. You all should have slept less in school. One: Determine point-of-view. Does the story have a narrator? Two: If so, is the narrator trustworthy? Three: Figure out the ending 15 minutes into the movie. The interminable credits and incoherent (and later replayed) carnage on the boat which begin the movie should have been completely cut. But the major insult comes near the end, when Verbal breaks down. Flashbacks from earlier in the storyline are used as evidence, and a red herring (an identifiable character dressed as Keyser Soze) is used to sway (no, there's a better word: instruct) audience opinion as to whodunnit. This image is, in fact, the only thing in the -entire movie- that COULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED. There's only one way to describe it: artistic dishonesty. So being, the 'final twist' is on the knife in the viewer's back.

I have never seen a thriller so amazing such as the Usual Suspects. It is a brilliant, well directed and well cinematically edited film. Kevin Spacey's performance is excellent and probably even one of his best. This film also contain some unforgivable phrases that are truely amazing. But the thing that is really extraordinary in this film is its astonishing ending, which is almost certainly the best ending ever. This is clearly a must-see film; even more than twice...

A very clever movie that actually makes you think - and keeps you guessing. Kevin Spacey is fantastic as Verbal and Pete Postlethwaite is at his usual high standard acting. The juxta postioning makes the suspense even greater and keeps your mind ticking over. My favourite part is the end where Verbal leaves and the policeman works the case out by looking at his noticeboard as everything that Verbal said was on there and you had the voiceover. Absolutely fantastic and a film to treasure.

The way the mystery comes unfolding slowly definitely makes the movie better. The characters are all unique in the way that you don't know what happens until the end and it is great.

This is a film lovers dream.Filled with nothing but great,professional performances by the entire cast,a beautiful score,master direction and not to mention one of the best if not the best mystery/suspence stories ever put to film. Kevin Spacy stands out with his Oscar winning portrayl of Verbal the crippled criminal. In this movie nothing is as it seems.You get just about everything action,suspense,comedy,mystery,drama. This is one of my favorite films and I garuntee you will love this film. Not a money back garuntee mind you. I don't work at a video store.

Perhaps Kevin Spacey's best, the Usual Suspects was an amazing movie. For a film filmed on a very low budget it was incredibly well done. The viewer is kept guessing throughout the movie, and the ending is perhaps one of the best of all time. Definitely one of the must-see movies of the 90's.

This is a first rate film noir thriller. Gabriel Byrne shines as Dean Keaton, an ex-cop turned crook turned reformed businessman and Kevin Spacey is absolutely convincing as Verbal Kint. The story is engaging and brilliant. The ending will leave you in slack jawed as you rewind the tape to immediately see it again and again.

In this movie I love how the main character is put in a tight squeeze and is able to manipulate the police by giving them an elaborate story that was totally made up using little details from around the interrogation room.
