I thought this was pretty good. This gets a four due to the bad sequel that was made.

If you are not too jaded to enter the spirit of this movie, you will find it to be a flawless tale of love, loyalty, and understanding. It is not only heartfelt and smart, it is very entertaining and funny. Technically brilliant. If you don't choke up when they lead Babe's mom off to slaughter, you should check into get a heart inserted; there may be a discount for first-time users.

Classic. And Pig in the City is just as great.

Babe is a funny, touching and enduring film about a pig that becomes a sheep herder. It may be classifyed as a children's movie, but adults will get great enjoyment out of the movie as well. The animals in the movie are utterly charming. James Cromwell is superb as the taciturn owner of the special pig.

Cute- very cute, a talking polite pig who wants to be a sheepdog. Gotta love it!

What a sweet movie. A pig named BAbe who end up herding sheep. We hear the voices of the farm animals, BAbe is a sweet polite pig who makes friends with the other animal. One of the funniest scenes is with Ferdinand , who wants to get BAbe to steal the alarm clock in the farmers house. What happens is hilarious. A good family movie. VEry well done.EAsy for the adults to watch too.

What I have to say will not earn a "helpful" rating from anyone, but I'll say it anyway: this movie was corny in places, stupid in other places, and it had violence. I couldn't find anything to like about it.

What a delightful, heartwarming tale, about the adorable little Australian piglet who enjoys talking with the other farmyard animals, rounds up the sheep, and saves his(and his owner's) bacon. This is one film for all the family that will surely remain a much-loved classic for generations to come.

Babe had a little too much tongue in cheek humor and realism for me to see it as a simply a children’s film. Not that children might not want to watch the biggest part of it. However, the first portion is as upsetting as a similar scene in Disney’s “Dumbo” that, having seen first as a child, has stuck with me my entire life. I’m also not sure that this and another aspect of the film – the way the pigs were kept - would be very entertaining for younger or more sensitive kids to see. It was actually pretty hard for me to watch as an adult. (A good thing about it would be its ability to bring about awareness of these conditions and hopefully change). Beyond that, the movie is fun and has a lot of humor the kids will probably not totally understand. They should enjoy the lively imaginative characters though and Babe’s quest to realize his dreams. Also, the Border collies are beyond adorable as is Babe himself. My favorite part of the film is when Babe lifts up his little snout and sings to his heart’s content (La, la, la!) – sweetly hilarious. Well, I guess that will do for now.

If you want tour child to see a movie with cute little animals in it, see Babe. It is extremly touching and cute, and the pig is one hell of a actor.

A rather stupid movie. I saw this in the movie theater and I was sickened by it. The only reason why it got two stars instead of one was b/c I liked the ending.

Made me cry. Very good to watch with your kids if you would like to promote vegetarianism. Some kids might be upset when they associate Babe the pig with Babe the pork chop. Loved James Cromwell as Farmer Hoggett.
