A break from the usual cliches. great !

I could watch this over and over, and I do !!!!! Yes, a little long, and some of the scenes are probably not neccassary,like the scene towards the end of him running to San francisco and back? What was that all about?

From the Black Panthers to a shrimp-boat and running across America, Forrest Gump is an amazing film. Summary: A GREAT FILM THAT DIDN'T DESERVE ALL ITS OSCARS.

Well made but way overrated.

this movie was good but not my style, hanks did a good job but realisticly any one could've played that role, although the story is good it's a dissapointment that forrest, the slow guy, has no clue what's going on. not for everybody, I'd much rather watch alot of other movies.

I really like this movie. Tom Hanks does an excellent job as Forrest Gump in the movie. It isn't all drama, as Forrest does many funny things in the movie.

The film is certainly good if you simply want something to pick you up, and Tom Hanks certainly plays the part well, however at times the direction leaves a lot to be desired (Forrest being chased by a car then switching to a different angle where the car is suddenly about 20m further behind him). However a strong screenplay means that the film is good, but not the great film that others think.

A superb film, Hanks is unforgettable. Direction from Zemeckis is brilliant. Sinise, Robin Wright and Sally Field are all excellent. Emotions run riot in this film, laughing, crying en masse.

I think I have heard this moving quoted more times then any other movie since it's making. And I still laugh at it! The movie is one of those icons that will never die. Tom Hanks performance was incredible, as was Robin Wright. I don't think that he will ever have matching talent for a movie again, or not so far he hasn't. Wonderful movie!! Run, Forest, Run!!!!

I remember I saw this movie when I was younger, and though I didn't understand it very well, I loved it anyway. "Forrest Gump" is one of the most brilliant movies made so far. Tom Hanks worked his best at being Forrest. God, I just love that guy! Anyway, back to the movie. It's a very original and sentimental movie. Don't know how anyone wouldn't like it. "That's all I have to say about that..."

its a great movie. tom hanks is so believable that you are beginning to think that the script or maybe the original novel was written with him in mind. director robert zemeckis pulled out all stops for crafting a superb film. robin wright was excellent, and so was computer enhanced gary sinise. this movie by the way has more special effects than the final part of star wars trilogy the return of jedi. all thanks to people in LucasArt, whose magic is woven seamlessly into the movie. its not just a space opera or fantasy flick. its one of those movies where S/FX are mutating out reality. but anyways, i think forrest gump is a great movie.

This is one of my favourite movies. As always, Tom Hanks does a great job, as do all the other actors. The story of Forrest Gump is really interesting and it's quite funny in parts also. Definitely worth seeing.

The most over-rated movie ever made! Since when do they hand out Oscars for talking slow? A long, rambling pointless story that exists solely for the purpose of showing off computer animation skills. One bonus point for casting Gary Sinise.

I only saw one settback to the movie and that was that it was too long. Besides that, the movie had everything- drama, humor and romance. I loved the scene where Forest was watching his son go off for the first day of school.

It was very creative and touching. It made me think, can a man(although fictitious)actually experience all these things in life?

Forrest Gump. I have alot of love for this film. It is a deep and touching story of one man how as an individual takes his place in history. You see him as a young boy, watch him fall in love with his grade school friend Jenny and then see go with him on the journey of life. It is really neat to see Forrest take his place in history. You grow very fond of him and almost think of him as a good friend. Tom Hanks is incredible as always. But he is helped out by a great supporting cast.Robin Write and Gary Sinise yo name a few. Definetly a charming movie. Loved Bubba.

I love this movie. Not only is it well produced but Tom Hanks shines as always. The story continues to excite the viewer. There are so many metaphors in this story that you should watch a dozen times to get them all.
