Kathy Bates gives a flawless performance in this one. One of the better adaptations of a Stephen King novel.

I loved this movie. It wasn't so much scary. It was suspenseful and funny. I loved Annie. "Lockadoodie paper." That's my favorite line. Annie was a lunatic.

I enjoy all books by Stephen King. This is about an infatuated fan who kidnaps an author and tries to influence his next book.

I really like Misery. Yes I guess you could consider it a horror film but I think if it more as a thriller with some horrible bits in it. More of a Hitchcock-esque sort of horror. Not all blood and guts but a really drawn out sort of oh my god how awful kind of horror. It really draws you into his situation and how helpless he becomes and fearful and at the same time totally dependent.

One of the RARE instances when a movie is actually better than the novel. Kathy Bates is phenominal in this movie, as she is in all movies, and I was truly surprised it all worked so well.

One of the best suspense movies out there. I love the atmosphere of this film. And Kathy Bates, Kathy Bates and Kathy Bates. Amazing. Very good suspense/horror - one of my favorites. Reat the book too (by Stephen King), it's also good, although I prefer the film's ending rather than the book's. Kathy Bates rules.

Misery is about a nurse who has craziness and selfishness. The scary part of this movie is the story and how the camera focusses on the nurse's mind-illness and shows her hidden craziness caused by her selfishness. This movie is well-done since the story not only scares the audience by showing her brutal characteristics, but also also let the audience think about how a nurse could be crazy, or about her psychological problems.

Misery is a well-written, well-acted, psychological thriller. It is a horror movie in the sense that if you found yourself in this kind of situation, it would be a horror. Kathy Bates won an Oscar for this movie, so you know she does a convincing job as a mentally disturbed fan. There's not much blood or gore, but it is very entertaining because of the reality of the situation.

Misery was carried by Cathy Bates. She was casted very well and did a good job. The movie was nothing in comparison to the novel because it couldn't capture the depth of Bate's insanity and the pure craze of her mental state. Part of this is obviously the limitations of film as opposed to book and also the limitations of the technology when it was produced. This film however appeals to more than teenagers which is definitely a plus.

Kathy Bates was phenomenal! She was amazing as a psychotic woman. Stephen King's movie about his original story was excellent at portraying his original novel. Stephen King continues to show us disturbing, but real stories that always bring fear to the observer.

I've seen this movie many times. The whole idea of a crazy fan is very realistic and scary. I really like Kathy Bates too. She's pretty scary by herself.

Kathy Bates was really convincing!! That film is scary because it's close to reality.
