Oh, to have more patience, God grant us wisdom to have patience with each other. Sometimes my patience grows very thin. :(

When we are in a rush, when too many things must be done, when too much is going on around us, we should remember to "be still and know that I am God". The busier we are, the less we are aware when God is doing something around us or the less we hear when God is speaking to us. Self control has a lot to do with patience, because patience is not something that comes easy, especially today when everything must happen NOW.

Patience is the one fruit that must be practiced to find out if one has it. Stand in a grocery checkout behind someone paying with food stamps and see if you are able to bring forth this fruit. There are many challenges that we face throughout the day when our rights loom as more important than someone else's. We are in a hurry; they are being stupid (etc.) - whatever it is - can we exercise this virtue? Only if we put it into practice, otherwise we will not have it. Try it and see! With patience comes rest.

Patience is a wonderful friut. Patience is not only being able to wait, it is also being able to handle hardships without complaining and getting angry because Jesus commends us when we endure trials patiently. Patience is also a form of mercy and forgiveness because being patient with a person means that you will not punish them or get angry with them quickly. It means that you will endure the offences and quirks of others without being angry with them for a long period of time. It also means that you won't give up on a person. Patience is the offspring of faithfulness. The level of your faith determines the level of your patience. People become impatient with people because they don't believe that God has everything under control and He will deal with that person, and people become impatient in lines and in traffic because they are trying to control everything instead of taking comfort in the fact that God is in control of everything and God has a better plan for you and other people then you do.

James writes in verses 1 & 2, My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. Amen brotha James!

Having patience is a virtue. It's hard to achieve, and it takes a lot of work. Sometimes you just want to go, go ,go, but you have to learn to slow down and wait. Patience with God is important. Something that you want might not be what you get now, sometimes it takes awile. Everything is in God's time, not ours.
