I don't use the messaging system too much, but it does seem to work rather smoothly. I like the addition of the "sent" folder (which even includes sent messages before V3 was launched), and I like the ability to mark a message as "read."

If I had to nitpick, the only think that could use improvement would be something to make it a little more obvious that I have a new message. Right now, if I have a new message, there is just a message in rather small font on the right side of the page by my profile picture. Maybe the font could be bold or in a different color when there is a new message? I'm not sure exactly what's needed, but something to make it stand out a little would be great. I've had new messages for a couple of days before noticing them, just because it tends to hide itself fairly well.

The New RateItAll, otherwise known as V3, seems to have improved when it comes to messaging. It used to be a bit frustrating to me to message someone and not be able to save what I wrote for reference. Now I can do that.

This is definitely a feature to keep.

The V3 messaging system is a big step up - messaging was one of the weakest aspects of V2 I think.

The site now tracks sent items, and message exchanges look like an actual conversation.

I always get a little startled seeing a private message show up in my News Feed, but that's also I handy feature I think.
