This site used to be infoseek and that is a major plus because the former is a good search engine. GoTo.com also is very helpful because you have a lesser chance of getting a random website. The ability to narrow your search down is extrememly helpful. Use it when searching broad subjects.

While at first I wasn't a fan of the pay for results model, what I have found is that it is the most efficient way to give me relevant results. For example, if I type in "Lake Tahoe" into the GoTo search engine, every result that comes up will have been paid for by the owner. This means that I will NEVER get accidental, irrelevant results.

i got excited about some sort of translation feature but learned you have to pay for it, the pay program isn't so hot, and it seems a bit cumbersome, i'm sticking to IE
