I like the TV coverage and the online pages are a good backup. Only complaint is I wish they would update the stories accessible directly from the home page more often.

Things are coming around but before the election, CNN capitalized on any attempt to put the president and the republicans in a negative light. I want news that has been researched and told AS IS. This is the first place that I've heard of CNN having higher ratings that Foxnews. They've gone the way of NPR. No news, just bias oppinions.

Not only is it biased, but there's little to no evidence of investigative journalism. It's very America centric, and merely fuels the mass ignorance of the American public.

So damn biased toward the left, it's not worth the time. They don't call it the "Clinton Cable Network" for nothing.

I cannot stand to listen to their Democratic slant on news. Clinton #1 nor Clinton # 2 cannot do anything wrong in their reporting. I blocked CNN off my TV after we got Fox news.

I like the website a lot, since it offers great news information. It sets updated virtually in real time. Besides the news, CNN site has a great number of links, such as customizing the weather report to your own area. One aspect of the site I really like and use the most often are the free stock quotes, where you are allowed to have a portfolio, and the stocks are tracked for you whenever you log on.

There is no better source for an up to the minute snapshot of what's going on in the world. CNN Interactive is one of a handful of sites that I use every day - it is a great way to stay up to date on what is going on in the world - 24 hours a day, seven days a week. And CNNfn is great too.

With the presidential race and the Mideast crisis, I have found myself checking CNN.com a lot more than in the past and it has kept me really informed as to what is going on. As others have said, the site does a nice job of providing the top stories in many areas. Also, if you want to get a laugh, take a look at the "Fringe" stories towards the bottom of the home page. They're usually pretty interesting.

The advantages of CNN are well summarized in the other comments. Yet, one should keep in mind that, when it comes to international coverage CNN's stories may range from journalistic diamonds to sheer trash coming out straight from the US State Department's cabinets. Perhaps something to be found in networks the world over, but the "American government perspective" on things is quite often hard to ignore, especially since CNN tres to portray itself as a "global" -as opposed to national- network .

I have set CNN.com as my home page, so it's always the first Web site I visit each day. The main page of CNN.com does a great job of summarizing the very latest news, including breaking stories in sports, entertainment, and business. But other news sites (like WashingtonPost.com) are really good, too. So why do I strongly prefer CNN.com over the others? I think it's a combination of national focus instead of regional, solid journalism, breadth of coverage, and a very usable Web site.

My favorite general news site. Yahoo-like in it's reliance on a simple layout and lots of text, which I think is a great thing. When I look for news, I don't want fancy graphics or noisy design -- I want text and links. CNN provides. Plus they update breaking news quickly.
