 | GenghisTheHun (177) 03/04/2007 | He was not the first citizen of the country and the victim of a feeding frenzy. That being said, the country is better without him in office.

 | Groovy (0) 08/04/2004 | Very scary individual who may have been involved in the murder of his mistress. He definitely acts guilty and knows more than he has been telling. Also, what normal father lets or wants his children to call him Gary instead of Dad or Father. That is a sure sign that the Condits are not playing with a full deck. His chidren are creepy as well and don't seem to have any compassion or normalcy in their lives. They are very sick, ugly and twisted!

 | bibliophile (12) 07/30/2004 | He had nothing to do with the death of Chandra Levy. He is paying too high a political price. His constituents say he served them well.

 | StanUzbeck (16) 07/28/2003 | I agree wholeheartedly with abichara1882. We can't automatically assume that he had anything to do with Miss Levy's murder, but he deliberately obstructed justice in a cowardly move to protect his own career. It's just too bad that scum like this are usually caught by some random turn of events, like the unforeseen disappearance of an intern, and not because there is any actual effort to root out corruption.

 | Moosekarloff (19) 07/21/2003 | Here's one who was truly crucified by a totally irreponsible Johnny-One-Note bigmoney mainstream media that was looking for a cheap, easy, inconsequential and ratings-grabbing story. Of course, this guy is shady and did not handle himself well at all during his 15 minutes of disrepute, but every indication, every bit of evidence or lack thereof strongly suggests that he had nothing to do with Chandra's disappearance and death. Yet the media decided to be judge and jury long before all the facts were in, and the upshot was the destruction of this guy's political career and a continued brainwash of the witless and gullible American public. Chandra Levy was most likely murdered by one of the police officers she was screwing around with, as the dumping of her body in such a remote place in the midst of the nation's capital indicated this was the job of a professional, the job of someone who knew the lay of the land very well, the job of someone who was knowledgeable about how killers operate. But then again, no oinker is ever going to be pinned with this one, as the ill-advised and mentally retarded apotheosis of police officers that started after 9/11 continues: it's very probable that the murderer was one of our so-called Heros, and the other swine, our other Heros hiding from criminals in precinct houses, sitting around eating doughnuts and dreaming of their Florida retirement would never squeal on one of the other enemies of the public who, paradoxically, are supported by the same noncomprehending public.

 | President -X-D (7) 05/12/2003 | Why isn't he in jail? If I were the last person to see a young woman alive, you can bet I'd be sitting in the clink until I ANSWERED QUESTIONS about her. If I were that girl's father, I would beat this worthless person to within an inch of his life, wait for him to get out of the hospital, and then BEAT HIM DOWN AGAIN.

 | Redoedo (41) 04/27/2003 | Criticized Clinton for having an affair, but Condit himself did the same and even went a step further.... murder is murder. He belongs in jail along with that bloated jackass Ted Kennedy.

Sure, we should not judge Gary before hearing the evidence. But this pig has acted like a guilty man. Condit had the nerve to critized Bill Clinton for having an affair. But he dosen't revel information about the missing intern to the police. i.e I had an affair with her. In the Connie Chung's interview, Gary was very cold about the affair. Blah!

 | TheFreak (5) 09/18/2001 | i knew he would be at the bottom of the rateitall list now can we all please GET OFF THE POOR GUY'S BACK???!!! Since all the idiot conservative columnists and politicians have been attacking him for about a zillion dumb reasons other than the whole Chandra Levy fuss-over-nothing, he must be doing SOMETHING right! He has my sympathy---if he were not a Democrat politician, no one would give one way or the other what he did behind the bedroom door. Sorry, Gary, everyone sees you in your personal life, most of whom probably know nothing about your political career. Good luck in life! (And let's give up trying to find Chandra, it's taking valuable time!!!!!)

 | swanoak (0) 08/24/2001 | The issue is not his sex life, but his lying and hindering the investigation of the missing intern. Let his family take issue with his life style. If he had come forward with all the information concerning Levy the police might have had a better idea where she might be. I'm sure he must of known about her habits as to where she went and who she saw. 08/23/01 After watching his interview--He's no Clinton when it comes to lying. His future is finished.

 | abichara (63) 07/27/2001 | Congressman Condit should be thrown out of office not because he had an affair, you know how many congressman are having affairs at this current time! He should be censored and thrown out of congress for obstructing a missing persons case and putting himself and his career over the well-being of a missing person. His hypocrisy also amazes me. He goes out during the Clinton impeachment saying that the President should disclose everything he knew about the Lewinsky case, yet when it came time for Condit to disclose everything, he didn't. Horrendous!!

 | CastleBee (85) 07/18/2001 | Gee, I think I've heard a similar story before... it started out "I did not have sex with that woman!" Another simpy smarmy smiling in your face liar. Better have Bill check the seat of your pants to make sure you got the fire out Gary.

 | magellan (176) 07/18/2001 | There was an interesting discussion on the 7/18 Hardball show with Chris Matthews, in which a panel discussed whether infidelity should be cause enough for an elected official to lose their seat. The general consensus among the panel members was that infidelity, by itself, should NOT cause some one to lose their seat, but "infidelity plus" should. In the case of Gary Condit, there is clearly "infidelity plus." By putting his career and self image over the safety of Chandra Levy, Condit has shown what he's made of. Who knows if he had anything to do with her disappearance - I am not ready to pin that on him yet. However, his shady handling of the situation to date is, and should be, enough to end his political career.
