This laptop works pretty well. The modem is fast. I use Windows 98 and have not had any problems. The stand-by button is really convenient. Sometimes, though rare, the screen goes completely crazy. Even so, the Compaq hotline is helpful. The technicians usually help solve the problem in a couple of minutes.

It is extremely portable. It is very light. It is however, over-priced.

Nice notebook computer, however it experiences several episodes of crashing and auto rebooting. It is highly convienient for everyday use, as well as for business purposes.

It's good, but the desktop is better. It could be smaller and lighter in weight, because that is what a notebook is for.

I love my laptop. You can take it anywhere. IT has a DVD player and cool little speakers to hear your music. It is really light so it makes it easier to carry anywhere. The speed is amazing.

It is a good size. The keys on the pad are very easy to use. It is easy to get where you want to go. It comes with a lot of program hook ups which is nice.

I like the Compaq Persario series because I have one which is very effective. I like the DVD on it and it's help services are very nice.

I once helped my friend to install some software on his Compaq notebook. It was such a hard time. There was always something wrong. But I never had those problems on other kinds of notebooks.

I recently bought a Presario 1810, and the damn thing keeps freezing up on me. I called the Compaq help desk (which actually turned out to be a very pleasant experience, once I reached a human being), and the guy had me free up some more system resources, because he thought there might be so many applications open it was overloading the machine. But even after freeing up over 90% of my system's resources and operating with just one or two windows open, the thing still freezes three or four times a day (and it has 64 MB of RAM - not a ton but certainly enough to support Word and IE). Really, really frustrating.

The Compaq Presario Series I find very user friendly.

A lot of my friends have them-they have a nice feel to them are user friendly, cute, and easy to carry.

I own a Compaq Presario Series notebook PC + it's great. Compaq's are reliable + fast. They also get updated all of the time.

Compaq makes the most dynamic LAPTOP or NOTEBOOK.
