My sister has a Sony Vaio --the smallest, most portable one. The portability (thinness and lightness) is great, but the keyboard is tiny and cramping and the screen is way too small.

Pricey, but feature-loaded, I love the concept of my multi-media VAIO with DVD player. However, I have frequent problems with windows on this machine making using the machine often frustrating. But when it works, I'm always productive.

The battery life is too short. The price of of this VAIO notebook depreciates very fast. It always freezes, so I think something is wrong with the hard drive. It's good if you like small notebooks.

Sony makes a great line of reliable laptops. They are extremely convenient to travel with, as they are built with a sleek, slim design. The only drawback to these computers is that they are rather steep in terms of price.

This notebook is very good for those who have a lot to carry already. It is lightweight and compact. My friend has one and is able to bring it to school because of its compact size. It also contains many programs and functions, basic and advanced. My understanding is that it is quite affordable as well.

This computer is designed well. The price is reasonable. The images are clear. It is lightweight and easy to carry around.

I like the Sony Vaio because it is a reliable, durable device. A big advantage is the docking station allowing to keep the contents of the laptop in sync with those on the desktop PC. The L-series are great too. They are on the one hand so small, and on the other hand they have a lot of performance.

Sony is great but have service problem overseas.

Sony products are great but they are too expensive. They have excellent service and the Sony Vaio laptops are easy to upgrade.

Complete notebook with the works. The screen provides good graphical interface. Could weigh less. This notebook is on the high end for students.

This computer is okay. I had problems with Microsoft Works. The graphics on the monitor are somewhat grainy. Plus, the battery lasts only about two hours.

It is very light considering all its components. Large screen, very up to date components which will last at least four years.

The graphics are good and the sound quality is very clear. It is like watching T.V. It is very compact and also pretty fast.

Sony notebooks rule. They look fantasitc.

Its cool only because its so small and powerful. It would be even cooler if it wasn't so expensive.

The VAIO is designed well. The setup is really easy to use. I've had problems with it freezing on me a few times.

The Sony Vaio series notebooks have the clearest screens on a notebook I have ever seen. They are sharp and crisp. The notebooks are fast and the pointing device is excellent. It comes with a lot of software, most you may never use. It is also quick enough to play games on with a 8meg AGP video card, 800x640 on quake 2 is playable. Despite all the pros, it's price is what sets it back. Too expensive for the average student.

This notebook has a lot of memeory. Also, it is small and light weight.

It's a really good system, but overpriced. The price was not competitive with other similar notebooks. I wish I could afford it.

It has the best color quality. It is clear and has great sound. The VAIO is light and easy to carry around. Sony notebook is the greatest because it has accessibility to everything. For example, it has a network connection so I can have access to the Internet, with connection to the phone line. Very easy to manage.

Good friend has one of these -- lovely design and form factor, very light, but kind of pricy. Wish they had a model with a larger (15" or more) screen.

The VAIO's are nice small laptops. Not very durable.

I own a Sony and they can't make notebooks. IBM is the best
