I have used Juno for five years now. Since I can't afford internet and Grama asked to pay, she won't let me switch. So I'm stuck. Anyway, I get booted around 2 or 3 times a week and Speedband does help but lowers the quality of my experience online and can be a pain. No, it isn't very user-friendly. There are no extras, just email and access. But it's not bad in price for dial-up.

I used Juno Platinum service for a time and liked it because there no toolbars or other BS, and it worked well for dial-up and the price $9.95 couldn't be argued. Then I cancelled service for a year or two and recently ended up going back to Juno after dropping Broadband due to the high cost. Needless to say once you have broadband you you go back it's like pulling teeth, not to mention Juno changed, the service is much much slower and they have a annoying toolbar within the latest software. I then fell for the Juno Speedband for $14.95/month, tried it and hated it. It might have speeded up things a little but it compresses images and the overall result is fuzzy/distorted pictures of anything you look at online while Speedband is on. I then called Juno to cancel Speedband and while the process was not too much of a headache, the software on my PC is still Juno Speedband and it's impossible to re-install Juno Platnium unless you have a copy of it saved somewhere. For some stupid reason, if you had Speedband and cancelled it, switching the software back to Platnium is not user friendly, I think it's Juno's way of making people stick with Speedband. Needless to say I'm having my fill of Juno, but it's cheap service.

The new format that required email users to use Juno access is terrible. it is much slower than before and kicks you offline constantly. The pop up adds just pour in. The interface between your new inbox and the old one is terrible, so you can just say goodby to your old emails. We will move to a new provider as soon as possible. It is free and worth every penny.

Juno was a great ISP until they started promoting their SpeedBand product. As soon as that happened, the connection speed for basic dial-up dropped significantly AND random disconnections (getting booted off) became the norm. So we're cancelling it and getting wireless.

Horrible service, known for kicking you off line. The free service was a joke, you could only use it after like 3am.

Nice price, but no spam filters or popup blocker unless you wanna pay double for it.

I was very happy with their service. The only time I ever lost a connection was if I had been online for a long time (usually at least 4 or 5 hours.) I always got a connection on the first try dialing in. Cheap price. Doesn't get much better than that for dialup.

Well, their free service is ok, altho annoying with all the ads. I made the mistake of buying their premium service for $20/month and when I asked them the difference between that level and what they were offering for $15 they said nothing and that they would change me to the cheaper plan. Then I get a email that said because I was a heavy user, over 100 hours per month, my new rate was $30!!! Who charges that????? Use the free service and look elsewhere for a paid ISP if you want one.

Very little downtime and it's free. I use it as backup. Software is easy to use.

At the same time I had AOL, I also used Juno. They provide free email. Now they also provide free internet which is great.

Juno free internet access is okay - nothing to rave about. The ad banner is annoying, the setup and everything else is not that great but it's free. I'm basically using it until I get the money for cable modem. Until then, it's erving it's purpose.

Is not NATIONAL. Does not provide toll free access to N.E.Montana!

well, since they're completely free (-now), i have to give them bonus points. i haven't used them much yet, but as far as i can tell they're slow, unreliable, and a bit annoying. for a free isp i really prefer 1stup, and about 4 other good ones i've found.....

Complete lack of customer service (got a problem? Email the president??!! At President@juno.com, no less!!!)and the set up is very inconvenient. There are completely FREE Internet Service Providers out there who have a better set up! If you're going to spend money on an ISP, don't spend it at Juno.

Juno is terrible! They offer unlimited service at the premium price and then penalize you (big brother is watching here!) if in their estimation you spend too much time being online. It has disconnected me after I've only been online for 16 minutes! They don't care about their customers.
