The iMac is inexpensive, has tons of features and is easy to use. The addition of digital video editing and optional mice improved an already strong system. The incorporation of the monitor into the unit saves you money over PC's, which are sold seperately.

Never been an Apple/Mac fan. Same old computer with a new cheesy fruit colored shell. Everyone wants one, but I'm not sure if I'd go for that.
gotrice 11/08/2000
Because most of our software is based on PC's, I think that Apple iMac is useless.
dchang 11/07/2000
The Apple iMac is an easy computer to use. The negative thing about the Apple iMac is that it has limited capabilities.
jedi6739rg 11/06/2000
It's the best thing since sliced bread! It's not so slim.
archana 11/06/2000
It is a nice computer product, especially for the computer learners. Children especially should use them.
sloz 11/03/2000
Great outer design, setting standards for cases. Small, portable, useful. But they crash! Not upgradeable. I would only buy it for the looks.
sorry123 11/02/2000
I like this computer. It's a no brainer. The kids enjoy it. I use it lots. The price was reasonable.
dtekle 11/02/2000
I feel it could have had more applications. Faster clock speeds are also desirable.
kchaudhry 10/31/2000
Apple PC, though appealing in looks, doesn't have a good operating system. They crash a lot and are not easy to use.
jedi 10/31/2000
I have run a Windows emulator on an iMac and it plays games better than my friend's Pentium II!
rsaran 10/31/2000
iMac's are for the computer illiterate. It is fine for people who want to buy a computer as it is without ever upgrading and for people who want a limited selection of software.
bmcinco 10/30/2000
The iMac is a good computer, but does not give me all the things I am looking for.
mishaneah 10/26/2000
Awesome computer, little money, little space, big power. These are not just college girl computers. They work great for design and/or art. My brother's company just sent me two new ones to be repaired under warranty for power problems, though.
neorace 10/24/2000
This machine is a terrible experience to any literate user. It is non upgradeable and too colorful. I think it's more useful as a paperweight. Did I mention no floppy drive?
egeary 10/19/2000
I like the speed and capability of the computer, but it breaks down frequently. It was ordered on the Internet (bad) and seems to be a lemon. Graphite G3 400Mhz. It is fun and powerful but not reliable.
mcpunx 10/19/2000
These things are just funny looking. They freeze all the time. It's hard to take them serious.
Poorlando 10/19/2000
iMac is total crap!! People only like it because it looks cool. I'm sorry, but I've always been a big Mac hater. Macs suck...
tearlach 10/18/2000
An overrated boat anchor, in my opinion. Screen is too small and curved, makes looking at JPGs a chore. Most useful items are options on the iMac, making a serious desktop machine quite expensive. Too little computer for too much money.
alopez 10/16/2000
It has great video and graphic capabilities, which has been one of Apple's strengths. It is easy to work with. Comes with a sound card and video card, which reduces the overall price if bought separately.
jmiller 10/16/2000
These computers look very cool aqnd very attractive, but what's on the inside is mush. Numerous ones that I know have crashed almost immediately after being bought. That's a terrible thing to have happen after spending so much money on one. They should fix the internal problems and then they would have a great product.
jmilburn 10/16/2000
While the computer is technically fine, the peripherals are distracting. The mouse is too small to be comfortable, and the keyboard is too small to easily type on. The computer and OS are well designed, though.
redding 10/12/2000
The iMac freezes! They claim it is due to the software, but iMacs seem to TEND to freeze... otherwise, the iMac is a very nice size, keyboard keys have a nice, moderate amount of resistance and are not too steep. Most comfortable keyboard I've used. Comfortable height on the monitor, too.
RICE BOY 10/11/2000
The Imac is a breath of fresh air for the computer illiterate. Packaged all together, it's a good way to let new computer users get used to computers. The nice colors are also a welcome change from the tradtional white and grey.
ewong 10/04/2000
Very easy to use. Comes all in one piece. Just plug in keyboard, mouse, power and it's all setup. Needs a built-in floppy. Built-in ethernet card is awesome.
petras 10/04/2000
The two main advantages of the iMac are the ease with which it can be moved and the speed of operations. Netscape runs with minimal waiting times between various sites, but opening Netscape is also when my computer crashes quite frequently. The only way to shut off and restart it is then to unplug it completely, and that is an added nuisance. I also dislike the design of the small, circular mouse- my hand becomes disoriented.
rocket 10/03/2000
Apple iMac really sucks.
hogi 10/03/2000
It's an ok computer to work with, especially if you only want the internet. Not enough RAM, and there should be a floppy drive. The newer ones are better, because of the DVD player and the software that comes with it.
davari 10/03/2000
The "special" look was a good idea. Unfortunately, utility is more important than aesthetics. The "round" mouse felt very uncomfortable, and the monitor-and-machine-in-one design is terrible, especially for maintenance.
Thejuddman 10/02/2000
I love I-macs they are the best computer.
daverific 10/02/2000
Think Different!

Macintosh is just an infinitely more user-friendly product, and yes, I use my Mac to do a lot. I would just recommend getting extra RAM on it because both web sites and ordinary applications like MS Word use up a lot.
lisa9189du 07/31/2000
In general, I enjoy using the iMac. I like its sleek design and it is a very fast computer. However, it freezes up a little too frequently. Also, I don't like the fact that you need to purchase an external disk drive.
nipu9107om 07/28/2000
The iMac is cool and everything, but it is not as user friendly as it should be, and I've experienced many bugs and crashes while using it. They should improve the interface rather than the looks. But it's definitely the best looking, and looks good on a desk.
wand9090du 07/28/2000
Cool colors, slick design, easy to install in small spaces. It is not as bulky as the others computers. Designer type, really in style. Looks great and it is very efficient.
Domi8913om 07/21/2000
While aesthetically pleasing, user-friendly, iMacs seriously lack many of the capabilities a normal computer desires in a system. Although efficiently sized, the lack of a floppy disk drive is an obstacle for any user wishing to keep track of files and such. Furthermore, the mouse sucks.
dAhm8636om 07/15/2000
I have an older version of this which is a laptop, but it is not very userfriendly and is very slow. Additionally, this old notebook is very heavy and is not compatible to the prepherals I have.
hors8635et 07/15/2000
The hard drive space and RAM speed are adequate for gradeschoolers through to college students, but the lack of an internal floppy drive makes the transfer of files difficult without internet access, or buying an external floppy drive. Marketing the iMac on the basis of a transparent or colored chasis is silly at best. It would have worked much better to advertise the speed of the processor and to have explained the use of internet access and file attachments to transfer documents.
OHos8568du 07/14/2000
Comes in all different colors and has great software already built in.
djne8531om 07/13/2000
My ex-roomate owns one. It is nice due to its looks and futuristic concept and compact size. However, its CD-rom drive seemed really noisy and unstable when it opened. The iMac does not seem easy to upgrade either.
thtr8499om 07/12/2000
Extremely user-friendly, attractive package, nice peripherals, and a growing array of supporter products. Just on the expensive side. The price tag is what I think is limiting their markets share.
tomm8497om 07/12/2000
I like the design. It is very creative and it takes a certain creativity to stand out from the crowd. It is very useful. Apple is a good brand.
suav8340om 07/09/2000
This product is internet ready. It has lots of memory space and is user friendly. It has a really fast internet connection.
Trev8288om 07/08/2000
The Apple iMac is a very nice computer. I like the size and the assortment of colors, but the only thing is that Apple sucks, and they will always suck! A nice computer, but too bad it's a PC.
sperryc 07/06/2000
It looks like a toy. ads should say "my first computer"
TecJ8200om 07/06/2000
The design is very attractive and unique, unlike the other computer competitors. In order for the company to be strong, they have to continue their update to upgrade the system and their whole unique style.
atur8176et 07/05/2000
The iMac is fast and dependable. You don't have to wait long for the computer to turn on or to transfer applications, which is important if you are in a hurry.
makr8076om 07/02/2000
This is a great computer and ideal for the first time user. When they say you can get on line in 15 minutes from the time that you open the box, they mean it. I did it in 8 minutes!!! Awesome reliability and great all around computer.
wier7932om 06/28/2000
long live apple!!
ingr7931et 06/28/2000
This is a little wonder from Apple. Easy to set up. True plug and play. And as always, a fine well built computer.
