Likey even better in a Dodge. UPDATE: Nothing the haters have spouted makes any sense. Rusty can drive a short track ragged and I've never seen him whine in an interview. I have seen him take the oh well, s*** happens stance and I have seen him call other drivers idiots, but I've never detected whine.

I have been a fan from the beginning. Back in the days of the old Kodiak Pontiac #27. A raw rookie with an attitude who grew into one of the great spokesmen of the sport. He was one of the most dominant drivers of the mid ninties winning 11 races one year followed by 9 more the next. I hate to see him hanging it up. Maybe he will go out with his second cup title this year. I doubt NASCAR has ever been without a defending champion othe than captain K.

One of the last legends that helped start the neckcar craze.

More heart and talent than anybody on the track. Short track King.

for one thing he does not race all that well, and for another he is the biggest whinner in the sport after Stewart! he thinks that the world ows him something since he can't race his car... and god knows that it is not his fault!!!!

Rusty is a consistant driver. He always keeps his nose clean, and always finishes up in the top 10 or 15. In 1989 he was the NASCAR Winston Cup champion and he has always won at least one race per season except for one time. He is nice to the other drivers and to the fans, and doesn't have any big enemies, showing his good sportsmanship. You never hear any bad comments about him from NASCAR fans and nobody ever is upset when he wins because every time he deserves it. I have been a fan of him for a few years now and he has never let me down. I hope he continues to race for many more years.

It is very good to see this guy get some appreciation in this Dale Jr. is the great one time we are in. The man can definately win on the tracks that takes true talent. He's nearing the end of his career and has absolutely nothing else to prove to anyone, and as for all these accusations of whining, anyone who watches Nascar on a regular basis will tell you the whining days of Rusty Wallace were many years ago, and so what if he did? Tony Stewart does his share of whining about tires and other competitors when he doesnt do well. Nobody says anything about that. It doesn't matter though, this list proves real Nascar fans recognize true talent.

It sure is nice to see Rusty at the top of the ratings. I see some people have left comments that just wasn't necessary, but will say thank you anyhow. Rusty is and will always be #1 in my book.

Rusty is and will always be one of the best. The pits cost him alot of time but we only wish him good luck at the beginning of each race

Rusty, you only need to relize your only as good as you think you are--and I'm here to tell you you have alot of fans that are true to you --Be true to yourself--and your crew you have it all use it!! you are an great Racecar driver and need to relise that you can run with the new youngins--I know and thousands of others know you have what it takes--SO SHOW US THAT GREAT DRIVIN OF YOURS!

What a crybaby..

He may whine at times, but on the track, he's proven that he's not washed up.

Still a threat to win races. If he can rediscover his consistency, he could win a second championship.

RETIRE....PLEASE RETIRE....I'm tired of hearing all of the complaining and crying about why he didn't win. He should have stayed with Pontiac, he seemed to have better success before moving to Ford.

This is Rusty's year.....Championship #2 on the way!
