orr had the greatest +/- rating of all time-- a tool which measures a players defensive & offensive ability. In fact it was twice as high as the next highest player--Larry Robinson.

He revolutionized the game and is the best ever at his position. Enough said.

When Orr was playing junior hockey in Oshawa his knees were shot then!! Truly a remarkable player whose talent may never be matched.

The first hockey game I ever watched was the 1970 Stanley Cup winner for Boston with Orr's famous OT winning goal. I was hooked on Orr from then on. As far as I'm concerned, he's the greatest all-around hockey player ever. Just watch film clips of his moves and end-to-end rushes and you may be a believer too. Hockey lost him too soon!

Superlative talent in EVERY aspect of the game (never in total equaled, before or after his time), the heart of a lion and the humility of a saint. If you live to see a hero of Orr's magnitude, consider yourself lucky.

If not for Allan Eagelson, this man would still be Boston Bruin, where he belongs...

Imagine Orr with two knees and ten more years in the league. Almost a thousand points playing defence with no knees. Revolutionized hockey no one can compare with Bobby Orr!

Such a shame his career was cut short. Younger fans dont think he is as good as Gretzky or Mario but I have seen all three play and Bobby is the man.

Bobby Orr was my idol when I played.

I grew up hearing about how great Bobby Orr is, so I guess that's why I think like that!
