Brett Favre is the best period. First of all, the guy's entertaining. Back when Sapp was with the Bucs in Green Bay's division, Favre Stiff-Armed him to the ground while he was rushing him! And not only that, after the play, he'd get in Warren Sapp's face and trash talk him! Show me another quarterback that can pull that off successfully. Not only that, the guy makes throws no other quarterback can throw. And forget about everyone saying he throws too many INT's. Yes, he did throw some bad passes, but a lot of them had to do with his broken thumb. And at least half of those other INT's were either A. a bomb thrown on third and long (which really don't hurt you), B. thrown up in the air at the end of the half, or C. tipped off a recievers hand and then intercepted. At the end of the season, however, this stopped happening, and the recievers started to step up. Expect this year to be an off-the-chart year for Favre, because of how dependable the recieving corp has been lately.

Never count Favre out of any game. One of the smartest QB's going.

Brett Favre is a great quarterback who can throw far, and play hurt. Although he is past his prime, He still is an above average quarterback.
BeatlesfanStev eo 07/13/2004
He was superb but we all can see his numbers are quickly shooting down.

How can you not like this guy. He has the heart of a true champion.

The fact that Marino, Tarkenton, Elway & Montana agree that he is the best, tells you something!
swangmaster8 06/18/2004
one of the best QBs of all time in my views except for john elway.

Favre doesn't make bad decisions, the Packer's D should of stopped the Eagles on that 4th and long. Favre has nothing to prove
louiethe20th 06/10/2004
Great heart and a great player but, as seen in last years playoffs he makes bad decisions.

one of the greatest QB'S Go Pack! Bears still SUCK!! Vikings blow!
conhusk 05/06/2004
he's really the ironman, hold consecutive start for QB though his thumb is troubling, and has family incident. at his age he still show lots of toughness and competitiveness. one of the greatest MVP in NFL
CottonMadison8 4 05/05/2004
favre is the man. He has done it all. MVP and super bowl victories. Who can deny that he is the best player now.
Cannonball20 05/02/2004
Brett is the best ever. He's put up unbelievable numbers over his career and he would have more rings if it wasn't for the pathetic defenses he's been stuck with the last several years. When he had a good defense he won the Super Bowl and a year later, lost barely because Packer D couldn't stop Terrell Davis. The year after that he was on his way to another Super Bowl but was robbed by a moron ref who ruled Rice's fumble not a fumble. Last year was close, but again the Defense screwed up. 4th and 26! C'mon. Yeah that last throw of his was bad but it should have never gotten to that point. I feel so sorry for him being stuck with such crappy defenses all the time. He deserves better. I hope he plays a few more years. He's still the best. He lead the league in TD passes again last year. People that say he's washed up are on drugs. A few more years and he'll have every record in the book including Marino's career TD passes. Go Favre!

(every time you see a dash in this, imagine a swear. i had clean my language up for this site to accept my thoughts and comment on the greatest player ever) The single greatest player or man of all-time. He is the Packers. They should change their names to the Green Bay Favres. He is the toughest, hardest working, and best player in the league by far. vtsciencenerd is a moron. Favre lead the d--n league in touchdown passes with a broken thumb on his THROWING hand. Not many other QB's around the league would've even played. He has never had a losing season and has one of the best winning pecentages of any QB all-time. He has had no reciever to throw to ever (besides Sterling Sharpe for a year and a half) and he has consistently won. Anyone who does'nt give him a five knows abolutely nothing about the game and they should have prosthetic nuts sewn on because they weren't born with any to begin with. Those dumb-ss Bears fans are all giving him a one beacause Favre kicks their p-ssy -sses every year and we always make it to the playofs and they never do. F--k Off Bear p-ssies. Favre could beat you by himself playing offense and defense. Urlacher is a p-ssy. And who was your last QB? Kordell? Yeah that's what I thought. Favre's stats, streak, toughness, bad-ssness, and competitiveness speak for themselves. He is the greatest player, for the greatest franchise, in the greatest league, in the greatest sport on the planet earth. This makes him the greatest man in history. I can't wait until next year when he wins his 4th MVP and wins another Super Bowl, and shows all the p-ssies how it's down. He deserves more than a five, five thousand wouldn't even begin to describe how great the man is. Favre is God!
nmysz 03/17/2004
Possibly the greatest football player ever. Really has never had a great receiving core. This is no doubt the reason for a lot of his interceptions. He is the reason why the Packers have been a .500 or better team since 1992.

Anybody that doesn't give this guy a 5 is missing the boat.
vtsciencenerd 03/12/2004
He's agood qb but when he gets sacked he fumbles more then any other qb in the league and when his father died I have full respect for him but he didn't play well his team just supported him and did as well as they could to help him get through his father crisis

The streak, the MVP's, the Super Bowl, come on, who can hang with that?
irishgit 12/23/2003
Tough, tough, tough, competitor, and as smart as a quarterback can be. Perhaps the best in the game today, and among the greats of all time. There are few hearts bigger than this man, who puts up career numbers in a must-win Monday night game the day after his father died. A team player, in a way that I thought was almost dead.

One of the best QBs I've ever seen, but that B.S. he pulled with Strahan will forever taint them and the sack record. (I hope somebody breaks it soon)
BigMike 06/05/2003
Are you kidding me? This is the toughtest QB I've ever seen. I was at the game against Pittsburg at Lambeau where Kevin Greene knocked the snot out of Favre on a sack. He had to sit out the next play as he vomited up a little bit of blood and was out there on the next play. That's what I call tough!! When this guy retires, I will be in mourning for years.
gummocatkilla 05/24/2003

SYVD 04/18/2003
Toughest SOB at the QB postion ever! Fearless with a flair for the dramatic. Great gun slinger with 3 MVPs to his credit. Won a Superbowl and is Canton-bound. Ranks amoung the top 5 all-time at his position.
mijimicah 04/18/2003
OK, this hurts cause he has beaten the crap out my Bears, but this guy is the best QB in the league right now. He took a lousy team to the playoffs last year. He makes everybody around him better. I think i could get 1,000 yards in a season with this guy throwin the ball to me. That said, I hate this guy.
Southga 04/10/2003
Brett Farve, currently, is the best quarterback of the post-Young era. Vick will be the best once Farve leaves.

The only people who can bring themselves to give Favre a one are A-h0le Bears fans.
Raider-hater 02/23/2003
I idolize this guy. he is the best currently active football player, better than Holmes or Williams or Gannon (he's overrated). Heck, my man Favre is one of the best of all time!
Chunkmasterfat 02/14/2003
Favre is a great QB, even though he had a bad year. He started off well, but he couldnt get it done in the post seasn so he didnt add to his big collection of super bowl rings. Who says age matters, hes like a Jerry Rice and energizer bunny... keeps going and goin!
romancequeen 02/07/2003
The guy doesn't get as much credit as he deserves! One of the most amazing people I've ever seen. He's been through so much, and yet he's still living a wonderful life with a beautiful wife and 2 daughters. He doesn't lie and he isn't full of himself, and he is a dang good football player....p.s the only 3 time MVP almost 4 time...coming soon.
jgswors 01/17/2003
great player that a bears fan can love to hate and all i have to say is go lose one more time in the playoffs....and do it for the bears!

People are only rating Brett Farve high because he is on the second best team in the league
bigcheese 10/23/2002
The heart and soul of an entire franchise for more than a decade. Confidence, enthusiasm, toughness, and leadership define his game. Blessed with a tremendously strong arm, great accuracy, and a highly underrated release. Has become an outstanding decision maker on the football field and still has the knack to make big plays when the scheme breaks down. Unquestionably, the most durable qb of our time...oh, 3 consecutive league mvp's, a Super Bowl win and counting. One of the best ever. May go down as the best; give it some time.
charliethetuna 08/07/2002
I really like Brett Favre the football player. He's a throwback. He plays like a linebacker with a rifle for an arm and the grit to get things done. I can't rate him 5 stars because he's not a classic quarterback, but give him a chance to draw a play in the dirt with a stick and improvise while he's waiting for his receivers to get open, and that's what makes him a winner. But, now he's getting old and he's hurt, and maybe it's time for his body to get a rest.
Davis21Wylie 08/13/2001
Once the best QB in football, injuries and a lack of recievers have taken a toll on him. He's got a real rocket of an arm. He'll squeeze it in small gaps and make big plays. He's great when on the move. He's at his best when in a sandlot-like situation, where he scrambles, freelances, makes plays. His mechanics and footwork have gone to hell in recent years, so he's much less accurate than the MVP years. He's also too impulsive, he'll try to do too much, and he'll force throws at times.
likerealmusicn otcrap 07/16/2001
He just bugs me & I think he's overrated as a QB.
popprincess 04/21/2001
he is really great and plays really well. he should be MVP again this year!
Jami10489om 09/19/2000
Awesome quarterback through the years, but it is time for him to sit and heal up. His arm is hurting and the Pack will go nowhere if he can't throw down field.
Munson 09/12/2000
Favre has become a very average NFL quarterback. With three MVPs and a Super Bowl ring, he is already a Hall of Famer. Nevertheless, injuries (to him and key teammates) and coaching changes seemed to have taken their toll. You also have to wonder if he has lost his edge. Ever since he has settled down off the field (married his long-time girlfriend, kicked his addiction to painkillers), his game has not been the same. I'm not suggesting that he should bring his personal life back into disarray. I'm just saying that some players have trouble separating the off the field stuff from the on the field stuff and Favre may be one of them.
