Peyton Manning rocks!!! I like the way he plays football. The man works hard and deserves everything he has. 49 touchdowns, you just can't get better than that. Plus 10 interceptions for the entire regular season plus other countless records. To give credit he has a wonderful offensive line.
bengals06 04/13/2005
I've been looking at some of the comments under other QB's. I've even put comments under them. But, what I mainly see is the Peyton Haters. Sorry folks, but Manning is one of the best QB's in the league......much to your disappointment. He plays on a helluvateam, can throw the ball with accuracy. What more do you want??? A QB who can catch and run and block too??? If you overrate other QB's, and then immediately turn around and underrate Manning, well kissing Brady's and McNair's and McNabb's asses isn't going to be much better.
proballer22 04/01/2005
the guy has the best recieving core in football and can't throw 1 TD against New England
Marinersfan11 02/12/2005
Can't you, your brother, and your dad just get the heck away from this country.
Skizero 01/26/2005
i dont watch much football (I hate Ham Sandiwiches and Light Beer) but doesn't this guy blow it in the playoffs every year? comes from a family of 1/2 talented QBs with big mouths.
cjmcclure3 01/26/2005
Will go down as the greatest quaterback of all time..
Mad Hatter 01/17/2005
During the regular season, he has great numbers, but he keeps choaking in the playoffs.
BlueNation 01/17/2005
Already accomplishing early what took others at the end of careers to do. He's just getting it done now so as not to worry about it later. From the time he was born this is solely what he has been raised and bred to do. Throw the football better than anyone who ever dared play. This is what he is here for. When we need heroes in days of babied athletes, he's more true blue than the uniform he wears.
Manning Hater 01/17/2005
Great stats, to be sure. But when it COUNTS...he is no where to be seen. The NFL and the Colts should have seen it coming. Great collage quarterback, but could not win a title. U of T wins the NCAA title THE YEAR AFTER he graduates with, of all people, Tee Martin. In other words, the team had the tools to win with Manning, but did NOT have a leader or winner with Manning at the helm. This type of play has carried over to the NFL...lots of yards, lots of touchdowns, folds when the going gets tough. What REALLY gets me though, is that the media has annointed him a Football God, and the Colts have given him obscene millions of dollars...to a guy, who in the end, is simply a loser.
kris020103 01/06/2005
Truly one of the great ones the game has ever seen!!!!! Hopefully he will always command such respect and continue to display class!
bballgrandslam mer32 12/21/2004
What can I say about the guy? He's scored 47 TD passes and still has 2 games left to break the 48 TD record. It'll be hard for people in the future to break his record.
seximexiladi 12/20/2004
He's fantastic. He's definately a good player that can throw the ball well and win the game for his team. I'm sure that no one could believe that he was ready to break the seamingly impossible Dan Marino record.
Byrdiohead 12/13/2004
This guy is the keystone of my fantasy football team. I hope he breaks Marino's record.
oriGinalpuBes 12/04/2004
Smart and dominant. (but) May never win a Superbowl (Break Marino's record and suffer his fate) because he cant keep his cool and blames everyone else around him for losses. (Its all the idiot kicker's fault in games that the Colts lose by double digits.)
dolphinfan 11/30/2004
peyton manning is the best quarterback in the NFL and will beat marino's td record. he is the most accurate QB he connects with his allstar recieving core for one of the best passer ratings in the NFL
leak96 09/29/2004
Peyton Manning is a good qb but he cant win the big games. Dont get me wrong, hes an amazing qb. He can put every stat except wins. Oh by the way, another stat he can put up is int's!!
footballhead99 08/12/2004
Overrated...When he played a good defense like New England, he played like complete crap, and eventually in the playoffs, you're going to play a great defense, so I never see him winning it all. Not only that, he's probably the most boring qb to watch. Even when he's gone, his highlights will all be of Marvin Harrison making great catches
UFGators04 06/12/2004
Most. Overrated. Passer. In. NFL. History. This guy will never win anything if he keeps playing like garbage in the playoffs.
Stangg 06/12/2004
Peyton Manning is a HACK!!! This guy drinks his own pee!!! He is the worst QB to ever grace the field. Whenever this doodiehead gets perfect pass rating games against rated 32 defenses in games that count for absolute **** you treat him like as if he is a god. He lost the first game of the playoffs 3 times in a row for a reason, that being he chokes under pressure. Then when he did do good in the playoffs he looked like a newb against the Patriots, throwing more balls to CB Ty Law then to his leading receiver Marvin Harrison!!! sounds like a great decision making QB to me my ass. He has Edgerrin James an EXCELLENT RB to support his throwing game of Harrison who makes Manning look like he is worth something. Manning is over rated, and I bet we would of never heard of him if it wasn't for his dad who was also a hack. I hate Manning with an ever lasting passion.
califcarlson 03/31/2004
he has definitely emerged as a very dominant quarterback and arguably the best in the NFL and anyone who has actually seen him play more than one game knows that when he plays well he will single handedly beat the crap out of your team. enough about him only getting numbers because of his receivers, he is incredibly accurate. even when he has a bad game he can pick it up. just watch his tampa bay comeback.
Perfessor 03/30/2004
Are you kidding me! Does this service only work in Green Bay? Farve #1 and Payton #32? Come on, lets give Payton Manning some credit for being MVP and best passer in the league for how many years in a row...?
jgls 12/24/2003
the thinking man's quarterback who is on the verge of superstardom, but must prove that he can win a big game and carry the team on his shoulders during a playoff run.
Deanster 12/02/2003
Peyton will NEVER win the BIG game. He has lost every playoff game he ever played in. He never could beat Florida when it mattered. He lost the Heisman to a cornerback. L-O-S-E-R. The guy is Dan Marino with NO HEART.
bleedc0ltsblue 09/20/2003
Peyton Manning is the most overrated QB in the league today.. his gatortade commercial marks the first time I ever cheered for the Lions. BCB
gummocatkilla 05/24/2003
You want to be 'my own Manning'? You are your own Manning. You're the own that really sucks.
BugahaNE 02/09/2003
He is a great player, nice guy, too bad he played college ball at tennessee.
jgswors 01/17/2003
a good quarterback...him and james make a great duo in the back field
Missynotprissy 07/23/2001
I hope he wins it all. What a class act and talented guy he is.
oksu21 09/21/2000
best qb in the league
Jami10489om 09/19/2000
Best young QB in the league
Munson 06/29/2000
Peyton Manning is a special player. He is a born leader who has been groomed to be an NFL QB since he was a kid. He works incredibly hard, is intelligent, and big and strong. Sure, his arm strength isn't great, but neither was Joe Montana's. He can get the ball where it needs to be, whether it is to James out of the backfield, over the middle to Dilger, or deep to Harrison. And, 99% of the time, he will make the right decision. At the end of his career, after a couple of Super Bowl rings, he will be among the all-time greats.
j.ru4910et 03/13/2000
Peyton is great, no doubt. So is James, but I don't see Marvin Harrison here. Without him, both Manning and James fall back a notch!
nwc@751om 11/29/1999
The best young quarterback to come along in years. In the future, he will be the standard by which all young quarterbacks will be judged and evaluated.
saz@749om 11/09/1999
He is the most talented quarterback in the NFL and is only getting better.
