I used to be a big Vince Carter fan, but he has become washed up already after a couple of years. He has no heart. He doesn't care about playing or winning, he'd rather just make commercials and sit on the bench. I think he's a bum, and the Raptors should trade him while he is still worth something

Vince Carter is an awesome Ball Player; however, I don't think he has the great of person or a team player. Just recently he adamantly refused to offer his position on the All-Star team up for Michael Jordan. This man had been injured roughly all season and was given a starting position on the all star team, clearly unfair. Michael Jordan in his last season had the potential to go for his last all-star game but will be unable to now. Two or three seasons ago Vince decided to go to his graduation ceremonies rather than warm up before game seven against the 76ers who eventually won the series due to a last second shot that Vince missed. Academics is important, but the graduation was a ceremony; Carter is a leader for his team and he left them when his guidance could have been the differences. His selfishness is apparent and his sportsmanship is poor, sorry Vince.

I am one of the biggest Canadian basketball fans and it hurts every day to see our millions being spent on an icon that rides the pine because of his supposed "sore knee". Vince Carter is a tremendously incredible basketball player. He does it all. He dazzles fans with his showstopping, gravity defying dunks. He is the king of showcasing imaginative dunks. He has contributed so much to the Toronto Raptors, that he will be dearly missed if he leaves. Vince Carter works extremely hard to be excellent in all areas of the game of basketball, and it is no wonder that in the near future he will answer any doubts of not being the greatest basketbal player to ever play the game.For thoughs of you who do not know how to appreciate a basketball player as talented as Vince, then you don't have passion for the game, your just full of trash talk, no action whatsoever, and besides vince doesn't have to be the next michael jordon, hes already the first carter, why go for mj. If you peep the name you would understand why I would rate hin one on the league's premier players. No, he's not the greatest but please believe that there aren't too many people that can stop him. Half-Man Half-Amazing is one of the greatest players in the NBA today! He has so much talent, potential, and he is very unique! What makes him so great is his ability to take a defender off the dribble and just bury them off the jump shot or simply dunking over them!!! Many people doubted him and didn't believe he could shoot the ball and he has proven them all wrong! Vince pulls up and shoots the three so lovely in defenders face or pull up to shoot the fifteen foot jumper! Also, I admire Vince attitude towards the game! I see eagerness within him to learn more and more about the game and to learn from his mistakes. During interviews I always hear him talk about his teammates and how they play together to win ball games. He is not a selfish player! Its all about winning together as a team to Vince! I don't like to compare Vince to Michael Jordan because he is Vince Carter not Michael Jordan! He has already established an image in the NBA and no one will forget Half-Man Half-Amazing!!!! I wish him and the Raptors much luck in the playoffs this year! I know that they will make it far as long as they rebound the ball, get easy baskets, and everyone play on one accord!

Vince is a premier shooting guards in the league. SHOOTING guard. How can you say he is over-rated? How can you say he can dunk, but he can't shoot. Vince is average this year is 28 points/game. Does that mean he dunks the ball about 10 times a game plus free throws? Come on. If this was the case then it just means that the defence in the NBA is pathetic, which is not the case. How come a guy like Tracy Mcgrady got recognized as a superstar when he was playing with Vince, and look at a guy like Morris Peterson who is having an amazing year because Vince Carter has taken him under his wing, and now Morris Peterson has a very good shot at rookie of the year honours. Vince Carter is amazing, when he got hurt with jumpers knee he still played through the pain, and only missed two games. Vince is the saviour for the NBA, and his postitive attitude towards life presents himslef as the ideal role model for today's youth. Can you say that about Lattrell, Allen, or Kobe?

Vince's athletic abilities are outstanding. The ability to move and score in traffic..... but most of all that attitude and smile is what seperate him from a lot of the rest.

i think he is over-rated. dunking isn't everything. he's an average player on a bad team with above average dunking skills. the reason why he scores so much is because everyone else on toronto stinks.

aight Raptors are a fairly new team in the NBA.. they've been around for less then 6 years or so.. and they made it into the play offs i personally think they are damn good and vince carter has been a great help. and if vince stays with Raptors.. with the help of the rest of the team, they will reach the top in the next couple of years i promise u dat

Vince is da man! His team didn't do well in the playoffs but look who his teammates are. Anytime you have Muggsy Bogues running the point and Charles Oakley shooting 3's you are going to have a problem. I have to give much props to Vince for carrying the Raptors into the playoffs. He is going to be the next Michael Jordan and probably even better. I knew he was going to be great when he took a coin off the top of the backboard during warmups and told me to put it in my pocket. If you don't think he is great now...just wait till this year when Mark Jackson throws him about 20 alley opps a game, then you'll know what I'm talking about.
