Without question, Tito is the man! He made Whitaker look stupid, turned De La Hoya into a dance partner, trounced Reid, and knocked silly Vargas. At least Vargas and Reid fought like men. I don't think Whitaker was up to the challenge that night. And Oscar proved why he is called "Chicken" De La Hoya. Tito is not worried about damaging his handsome face. Oscar, on the other hand, has commercial endorsements and worries about any blemish or pimple. Gil Clancy was correct in telling Oscar to run the last four rounds because he knew that Felix only gets stronger in the later rounds, the championship rounds. Oscar forgot that people paid good money to see a fight. Felix gave them that. Oscar didn't. And recently Oscar admitted he ran against Trinidad when he responded to a comment made by Vargas wherein Vargas called Oscar a coward. I had to give Trinadad a new rating of 1, because it seems his fans are a bunch of uneducated, so-called boxing fans. someone by the name of TRUST ME, believes roy jones has been ducking Hopkins for 8 years, well they fought 7 years ago and roy disposed of him. Tito is no doubt ranks as one of the greatest boxers in history. He certainly ranks with the Leonards, Haglers, and Hearns. But to rank with the Sugar Ray Robinsons, Ali's and Joe Louises he still has a way to go.

Trinidad I consider to be a good fighter without a doubt deserving a 4. I can honestly say the man is a good fighter, but come on now... If Trinidad isn't the best pound for pound boxer in the world, he is damn close. While I don't think he deserved the decision versus Oscar, he has proven to be better boxer since that fight. He fights all comers and doesn't dance around looking for a decision. He reminds me of Marvin Haglar, constantly walking towards his opponent and hurting them each time he connects with a punch. Sure, he tends to hit the canvas in his fights, but I think that this is an even greater measure of his greatness. These knockdowns are flash knockdowns and not truly an indication of him being hurt. Each time, he has come back to win. And, there was great symmetry to his fight with Vargas. He knocked him down twice in the first and was still fresh enough in the twelfth to knock him out. Tito is one bad dude.

Tito is a great boxer but I cannot give him a 5. Granted he has power in both hands and mediocre speed, but he needs work on his boxing skills. Had he had this Oscar would not have been able to box his ears for 12 rounds. The only reason he beat Reid is because of his experience, if Reid would have been more experienced he would not have exhausted himself and allow Tito to beat him. I'm not a Tito basher I really do like him and wish I could give him a 5 but who has he beat, an aging Pernell, Chicken De La Hoya, and an inexperienced Reid. I'm hoping that Vargas will test him but I want Tito to win, I don't like Vargas attitude. Words of advise to Tito, STAY AWAY FROM ROY JONES JR.
