GREAT TEAM!

Great franchise with an equally great history. Question is, what will life be like after Favre?
gummocatkilla 05/25/2003
Cheese heads are painfully lame.

Bret Favre is awesome.

PACKERS F*CKING RULE
intoxicatedalc hohali 05/04/2003
this team is headed for a favre like downward spiral...future is bleak and need to find the future of the team or the lions will suprise them in a couple of years!
Rusty 04/22/2003
The Green Bay-Tampa Bay rivalry is one of the better matchups in football today! Too bad Tampa is in the NFC South.
Medusa1861 04/14/2003
they just suck sooo much
TheMyth 04/09/2003
This forum is for CURRENT NFL teams, so forget what they've done in the past. Let's face it, this team was just ripped apart in free agency, Farve isn't getting any younger, and the defense has never been stable due to injuries in the lineup. Farve is one of the best quarterbacks ever, but in a big game, when the offense isn't clicking, Farve tries to force it and carry the team. And many times when he does that he ends up killing their chances (ie Tampa Bay).

i hate this team
angusmacpherso n 03/15/2003
A tradition unsurpassed by any professional football team EVER.
tytyutyt 02/28/2003
they are rubbish
RazorZach 02/23/2003
Farve, Reggie, Lombardi, Lambeau, Frozen Tundra...any of these words spoke aloud will bring an instant recognition with the NFL and the great tradition, fans, and facility that have been going on since 1921. GO PACK GO !!!
2003 02/23/2003
As long as Favre is at the helm, they'll be the best. And hopefully after he retires, too.
Raider-hater 02/22/2003
What can I say? The Packers are one of the all time best football teams. Under Brett Favre, they've never had a losing season! And as long as he's with them, they'll continue to be a regular Superbowl contender. When he retires, who knows? I'm inclined to think that they'll continue to do pretty good, if not as good, because I think a lot of effort will be put into finding a good successor to Favre. GO PACK GO!!!
rogue 02/19/2003
Silly Packer fans... can't you see that in spite of Brett Favre you're at least two years from another Superbowl?
CanadaSucks 02/18/2003
No, I am not a Packer fan. Not by a longshot. But I admire this cornerstone franchise of the NFL. I have never met a dumb Packer fan in all of my travels. These people know football. How can you not love this small-market team in the soulless corporate sports world?
toddz rod 02/01/2003
if brett farve wasn't strung out on perks, tha peckers might be doing tha suber bowl shuffle right about now. as it stands tha only shuffleing he's seeing is in tha hands of a black jack dealer. here's some advice brett: clean it up (your act, that is); learn to scramble, old man; and split your aces and eights. oh, yeah, and shave that six:30 shadow, ya scrub.
GWBisScum 01/27/2003
If you hate the Packers then you don't understand. I understand that there are only two real football teams: The Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears. If you hate the Packers then it's simply jealousy or you're Bear fan. I respect the fact that a Bear fan hates the Packers, just as I hate the Bears, but I respect them and their fans. Hate Packers if you like, but unless you're a Bears fan, you only wish you grew up rooting for the greatest team in sports history: THE GREEN BAY PACKERS.
jgswors 01/22/2003
i m a packer hater
DeathRattle 01/18/2003
This year's Packers team has been mostly Brett Farve. He is the main reason why they had as good of record. Sure, he had a couple of weapons (Ahmat Green), but not as many as when he won the Super Bowl. He is that good. However, like Mic Vic, if you can stop him (like Atlanta and NYJ), you will stop their entire offfense. Give credit to Green Bay's second string defense. Many of their first string defensive players went out early due to injuries. Yet, the secondaries were good enough to hlod off offenses to few points. A main reason why GB had a great record though was because they were in one of, if not, the weakest division this year: the NFC North. I would have six easy victories too if I played Detroit, Minnesota, and Chicago of all teams twice a year. That takes care of almost half a season. BTW, those that are basing their review on history, you must have missed it when it said CURRENT TEAMS! History didn't help them at home against ATLANTA (27 - 7).
bucs4good 01/15/2003
All I can say is, a team that gets blown out by the Falcons, isn't that great
oldesnail 01/08/2003
In regular season: Beat the Falcons and 49ers by a combined 57-48 Lost to TB and NYJ by a combined 24-63 Lost big time in Playoff game with Falcons. They are way too banged up to be rescued, even by "old" Brett
bmw_iscool 01/05/2003
OMG how did i know that when i looked at nfl teams the almighty Greenbay Packers would be at teh TOP YEA!
Missiereads 12/30/2002
Greatest team that ever played....I'm a home grown Wisconsinite.
Brian Labrune 12/23/2002
retire favre! your too old and your int rates are rising!
Xxray138xX 12/23/2002
The Legacy of Lombardi and Favre will be in the core of the NFL history for many years. For those people who whine about Favre, why is always playing hurt and holds the record for consecutive starts. Yeh i would like to see some other quarterback do it in this day in age. Cheesehead 4 life!!
lukskywlkr. 12/18/2002
Favre smavre. Who cares? Once he retires, there'll be some lean years in cheese town. heh heh. I will, however, be forever in their debt if they will beat those jerks from San Francisco.
mr.monkey 12/16/2002
the most annoying team and fans ever put on the planet
klunt 12/14/2002
i wish there was a rating less than terrible!
StevenA111 12/09/2002
GO PACK GO! Green Bay is football. This year we're back near the top, and Favre is as good as ever. Even if you don't like Green Bay, you have to respect them.
bilrot 11/14/2002
best team in the nfl as of today 11-14-02
RADIOMAN 11/09/2002
Green Bay is more about the history of football and not so much "How will they do on Sunday" Anybody can root for a winning team, But not every team has the legacy of Green Bay. Green Bay was one of the first teams in the NFL.Green Bay had one of the finest coaches in the NFL, severial of the finest plaiers in the NFL. AND the Pack is the only team owned by the fans of Green Bay. Theres just something about sitting in Lambeau on a cold november day that makes you just want to yell out GO PACK GO
Jason1972 10/31/2002
This team has history and lots of it, plus any team that has to play in the climately challenged and gruelling Lambeau field has got to be winners.
Mat Mann 04/10/2002
Gotta give them the highest rating, based on total team history, guts and charisma, not on recent record. For decades, the GBP have been synonymous with in-the-trenches gridiron play.
norelle 04/04/2002
my team...4eva!
bryzzer 02/28/2002
pack is back
Slim Jim 12/20/2001
The best team with the best quarterback and the the best fans.
The Waffler 10/22/2001
they rock this year! let's see the pack back on top! Yeah Favre, Green, Levens, Freeman, Longwell, et. al!!!
Buzz_454 04/16/2001
Once Favre gets someone else besides Freeman to throw to the pack will be back on top(where they belong)
MARYMAN 01/31/2001
HOW CAN SOMEONE NOT LIKE A HPMETOWN TEAM FROM THE HEARTLAND AND BIRTHPLACE OF PRO FOOTBALL
vodor 12/22/2000
this is the worst team in the league this year, they have only achieved a respectable record through FLUKES and the only reason they are rated highly on this site is due to inflated cheesehead computer nerds
dperry09 12/19/2000
How can they be ranked number two in the top 20 list? Sure they were great a few years ago, but they will be lucky to make the playoffs this year.
Boonta23 11/28/2000
Even with Favre the Packers can't catch a walking camel. In 1996, the Packers-wonder of wonders- won the Super Bowl. It may sound like I am congratulating them, but no. That year they stunk also. In week 10 or 11, around there, the Packers played the winless Indianapolis Colts. They went into the RCA Dome and lost, by a FG. The Packers were the best team in the league, but they can't win the games they were supposed to. I would never give a team a 5 that can't win games, or beat themselves in the process. As far as Favre goes- OH NO I'M GETTING SACKED, Interception, darn.
Coolchik 10/14/2000
Not this year!
yoyoyo 09/13/2000
they are gay and homosexual!!!!!
tabb10505om 09/12/2000
Great fans, but the team is on the decline.
j.ru4910et 09/12/2000
The Packers are in for a world of hurt. Favre isn't cutting it and their defense is horrible!
magellan 09/11/2000
They deserve to suck. Any team that hires Ray Rhodes as their head coach after his performance in Philadelphia clearly has no interest in fielding a competitive football team. And what happened to Brett Favre? Sure his been injured, but his already questionable decision-making has taken a turn for the worse...
