These wankers need to get into the Big East already

Every year, it seems like Temple is the last team that anyone wants to play in the tournament. Their vaunted match-up zone (with man to man principles as Raff would say) causes incredible problems for everyone they play. Plus, they are tough as nails. They truly take on the personality of their coach, John Cheney, who runs boot camp-like practices every day before dawn.

Tough D, good O.

This is absolutely not a top 10 team.

After a tough loss to U-Mass a couple of years ago, John Chaney marched into John Calipari's press conference and threatened to kill him on the spot. Chaney was willing to fight for his players b/c he thought Calipari dissed them. Chaney's passion fuels the best team in the Big 5 year in and year out.

I love this program. I love how disheveled John Chaney gets after 10 minutes into the game, I love that they have 5AM practices, I love the match-up zone they play which no one has solved for 15 years, and I love the hodgepodge collection of players they always seem to find a way to win with.
