Why would anyone in there right mind ever consider even setting one foot in Miami Florida if this realistic portrayal is accurate? Is disco music still fashionable there? Boy, talk about falling behind. Do people really have nothing else to do. At best I might catch an episode ten years from now on some re-run network in my sleep and mistake it for a nightmare.

Eeeew, gross. Here's what I said about the original CSI, and it applies here as well. Perhaps this one rates an additional half-star for making good use of David Caruso and Emily Procter, but it's essentially the same show in a different location, and relies on the same pornographic fascination with death and dismemberment... ----- By far the most ludicrously overpraised show on television, unless you count its Miami offshoot. Stock plotlines and middling characters dressed up with copious helpings of ugly death. It's the macabre elements that make people tune in, like rubberneckers at a highway accident scene hoping to catch a glimpse of carnage -- oh, but we don't want to admit that, so we bend over backward trying to find other reasons to call it "quality" television. Folks, this emperor is buck-naked.

Not bad for a spinoff, but doesn't nearly match the original.

Terrible sequel to hit drama CSI has nothing going for it, other than the title name, which has little connection to the original series. Could have been better...

Law and Order got it right with its SVU clone - similar plots but fresh twists and interesting characters. Then they got it wrong with CI, regurgitated plots and storylines and really annoying characters. Unfortunately, CSI Miami took the Law and Order CI route. It's a carbon copy of CSI with a different setting.....big deal!. Some great performers are badly wasted on roles that just don't fit them. Kim Delaney is the biggest tragedy. How could they trash Philly, her character was perfect for her and her portrayal was excellent, and shove her into a role that is so contrary to her persona? And another female character, the bullet expert. I can't remember her name, but I loved her in The West Wing. She too is shoehorned into something that doesn't suit her at all. Dull, boring, uninspiring....I don't see it surviving beyond 1 season.

All you ever see is some murder, some rape, a morgue scene, nothing pleasant in this show. What I see here I read in the morning paper all the time. I hope CSI Miami gets cancelled

Now this CSI I liked. This time they got it right. Unlike the original CSI pilot which had six cases going on at once, which I had a very difficult time following, CSI Miami pilot had one case. Congratulations to CBS for getting it right this time.
