Would be five stars except for the new female cast member. She is pure eye-candy. Bad choice execs. Good writing and mostly excellent cast. I really enjoy mysteries that don't give away the ending too early in the program. Most shows of this genre I can solve by ten minutes into the program.

Fantastic show - this is my favorite "genre" and one of my favorites of the genre. I usually see everything on DVD, so I'm not fully up-to-date on the show, but typically has a good balance between plot and character development (I always prefer plot - let the characters develop in the context of the plot, extraneous personal or bureaucratic plots are often annoying).

This show allows the viewer to take the investigative journey with the characters. Never giving away too much information. The outcome isn't assured until the last few minutes of the show. Although, I would like to see each episode end on a positive note, I prefer their more realistic approach. Tragedy, unfortunately, sometimes does prevail. The shows ability to intertwine the characters personal lives adds an appreciated, added dimension.

I really enjoy this show. I like the fact that not all the episodes have happy endings. I think it gives the show more credibility that way. Of course, not all the FBI missing person cases are solved as quickly (although I wish they were), but for a television show, I can live with it. Anthony LaPaglia is very believable as Jack Malone. For me, his intensity pulls me right into the storyline. Actually, I think all the actors are great with the exception of the latest addition to the cast, Roselyn Sanchez. I don’t know if it’s her character or just me not really liking her as an actor, but to me she just doesn’t seem to fit in with the other characters. NYPD Blue is still my all-time favorite cop show, but Without A Trace is definitely up there. All that being said, if you haven’t seen the show, it really is a must see.

One of the best shows on TV. But has slipped in the past year or two.

The only major flaw with the entire show is how fast the FBI gets involved after the initial report.

I think Without A Trace is a great show with an awsome cast.... My 14 year old watches it with me so she can see the things that can really happen to people..I also think that it is great that they air real missing people also...

I actually think this show is better than the CSI programs.

There must be over a dozen of this type of show on the air. Can't anyone think of anything different? The sameness is deadening.

I TiVo this so I never miss an episode.

Needs to be less boring. When all you've got going for you is Poppy Montgomery, you've got problems.
VinnyIN 05/17/2004
I think this a great show, but it should concentrate on the crime at hand and not the character's personal lives.

One of my favorite shows (second to The Agency, I still cant believe CBS cancelled it!). Acting is pretty good, but the actual steps of investigating, the technology, and the autopsies are great and are the main reason I tune into the show.

An excellent show that traces fbi agents solving the cases of missing people from their disappearances to them being found.

Makes comparisons to Law and Order during it's first years, only with much more action and a whole entire different plot. LaPallaga is fantastico, no matter how cliched his and the other characters are.

Love Anthony La Paglia...Love Poppy Montgomery....Love the show. Great time slot too.

The next CSI, after two shows I am convinced. NOt to say I don't have a few concerns. I think it is going to be difficult to keep the plot fresh after awhile.
