Caffine is a recreational drug? Since when?
trebon1038 04/22/2008
One of my remaining vises though I have cut waaaay back. I used to not be able to function in the morning without that first cup of joe...but I now mix some decaf in with my regular coffee. They just don't make a decaf with those stronger beans...go figure! I also love iced tea but when I go out to eat I now get water. (even with alcohol...though not in the same glass).
twansalem 04/22/2008
I like caffeine, unfortunately my favorite way of getting caffeine involves high sugar content pop.
GenghisTheHun 04/21/2008
I have used it, use it now and shall continue to use it in the future.
drkseph 01/13/2008
Probably the most widely used legal drug out there. Caffeine is in practically everything you eat and drink now and let me tell ya, it sucks. My dad has had a morning cup of coffee everyday for like 30 some-odd years and until he has that morning cup hes crabby as hell. I stay away from it cuz too much caffeine gives me nasty headaches.
mchamster 12/28/2007
Caffeine is amazing stuff. If you like the stuff as much as I do, here's an article on how to add it to your own beverages. http://www.oontz.org/me/content/view/23/

I think too much caffeine can stress a person out.
angusnorth 08/29/2007
I am pretty sensitive to things and drank coffee every day from when I was 17 until 21. When I stopped just to see, I found out I wasn't as nervous and frantic a person as I had thought. My attention span is longer, and I don't have that feeling that I have to finish what I'm doing right away before something gets me. The best thing is that I used to be insanely obsessed with email, phone calls, and text messages, checking these things compulsively all the time. Now when I do have caffeine it triggers that pretty bad but otherwise it's basically under control. If you think you might have a caffeine sensitivity, even if you're really cynical like I was, try quitting, sleep excessively for a few days and wait a week to see if you chill out a bit too.
fuhgdat82 07/26/2007
Nothin like a morning cup of joe.
redhotchilis 08/30/2006
It's more dangerous than most people think, and you do need to control your caffeine intake. I'm going through caffeine withdraw as we speak, and let me tell you it's not very fun. I had no idea how easy it is to get addicted to caffeine. I had probably an average of one Coke a day at my high school, and probably 1 or 2 expressos. You do have to be careful with caffeine, it is a drug. When used to a certian degree, it's gold. Caffeine has helped my test grades, and increased the amount of homework I turn in.

Once in I a while I just want a cup of coffee or a dr pepper.
kingguiness 06/20/2006
I never drank coffee until 1998 when I quit drinking for a few years. I ahve since picked up the bottle again (2002) but I enjoyed my coffee and I have continued. I drink a pint a day along with bagels or donuts. I like it black!
DumbBlondeCowg irl 04/22/2006
It is definitely my personal drug of choice! Love my coffee!
andrewmc 01/27/2006
How is this a recreational drug...? "Party at my house Saturday! Kegs of Pepsi and Diet Pepsi!" Honestly it's pathetic. As far as I know it makes you piss more often and makes you stay awake. I can already stay awake and piss often. No point to this drug, whats even sadder is that some people get addicted to it...
AsYouSpeak 01/25/2006
coffee, tea, soda, chocolate, all of the best things have caffeine in them. caffeine gets me through the day, it keeps me going, and i love it!
frogio 11/28/2005
If I could smoke it, I'd stop spilling it on myself in the car.
Djahuti 11/24/2005
I drink coffee, but not colas, since soda always contains high fructose corn syrup, which your body can not process.A couple of cups a day does not seem to be harmful, but coffee does block your absorption of most nutrients, therefore it is best to enjoy it between meals. Finally, there are some people who drink WAY too much caffiene, get wired on it,and annoy the piss out of those around them.
antimatter235 11/24/2005
It's good stuff. You get it from tasty drinks. If you're bored, take a couple shots of expresso and you'll be wired and have fun reading long stuff you're interested it, it might make you a little speedy which can be enjoyable, it also make exercizing more fun to me. It's not perfect, but it's a unique drug. The downside is that you get "burned out" and mentally exhauster after 4hrs on a heavy dose from thinking too much. And it takes very long to get a tolerance, and the tolerance goes back to normal afer a couple weeks of no use! Dosage: 50mg(threshold), 100mg (a "lift"), 200mg (concentration), 400 to 600mg(wired to extremely wired). Why deprive yourself of it ?
HistoryFan 11/02/2005
Caffiene keeps me alert during the day but since when was it recreational?
edt4 08/25/2005
Two cups in the morning is just what the doctor ordered, but more than that is excessive. In my case, all it serves to do is dehydrate me and make me jittery, as well as exacerbating an already chronic insomnia. I find that drinking water throughout the day is much more revitalizing.
PlanetaryGear 06/17/2005
I know I'm hooked on the devils brew.
