i think this bbok was good except when it was a about bella i mean she wants everything she wants jacob edward to be a vampire and to have sex with edward iwanted to choke her. I think the only reason she chosse edward over jacob was because edward is hotter has more money. with does qualitys of course she would chose him over jacob. Why does edward have to love her she is so stupid why didn't she die

i am starting to find this novel very annoying compared to Twilight and New Moon. Bella has become a very selfish, confused character who just wants to meddle in everything and make everything more difficult for others all the while getting everyone to tell her that that's not so and make her feel better or else she might kill herself. I mean, chapters and chapters full of her whining about why things can't just work out the way she wants it to. She doesn't seem to have a life apart from Edward and her obsessive infatuation with his beauty and perfectness. Yet she also insists that she and Jacob remain friends, on the pretense that Jacob is in pain when she doesn't talk to him. Just admit that you love him for pete's sake! And it's asking for a lot get two people who are fighting over you to suck it up and become friends just for your sake. That's completely selfish and unreasonable. They have to have their own lives too! I just hate how she acts like she's so helpless to do anything about her situation. That she's just tragically stuck in it. If she wants to be with Edward, fine, but don't keep visiting Jacob. At least pretend not to care when he's having a fit himself, or else admit that you love him and ditch Edward. The romance of the whole story has gone sour for me.

I love this book as much as the first two books. The fact that the Cullens returned to Forks, and that Victoria was still lurking trying to get to Bella for revenge of her mate, James. But then you throw werewolves into the mix with a love triangle in the making and things get a little complicated as they should. I enjoyed this book a lot. I can't wait for the fourth book to come out.

I did not like this book. It was my least favorite out of the other 2. Probably, it's one of the worst books I've ever read. Silly and pretentious.

I am sad to say that I only give Eclipse one star for Jacob and nothing else. Seriously, what the heck happened to this series? It started so simply and became so overly complicated so that it no longer focused on the central romance. Jacob was more present than Edward in both New Moon and Eclipse, how are we supposed to like Edward on a human level (don't joke on that) when he is missing so often? Is Meyer hoping that Ed's appearance in Twilight (which was really only about half of the book since he was so distant) will be enough to tie us to him? Why should we care about him anyway? All Bella does is gush over his marble and icy perfection, not his personality or even regular talents, but his looks! At least with Jacob, Bella interacts with him like a human: they laugh, they cry, they FIGHT, and make up. They act like a normal healthy couple, unlike Edward/Bella in which they never fight, and when they disagree, a few smooches and caresses is enough to make everything better. They are so boring. Ed is a Gary Stu, no doubt about it. Jacob may have flaws but those flaw make him human and likable whereas Edward is perfect and we're expected to not label him a Stu and love him. Oh and Bella. Worst feminist role model ever. She constantly puts herself down, always needs a hot man to keep her sanity in check, is incredibly vain about OTHER people's appearances, and is in fact a very selfish individual so at least that one overly said complaint is correct. Bella doesn't even hold a grudge against Edward! What the heck! She just forgives him and knows what he did was right! I hate her! The only strong female in the entire series who isn't flighty, vain, or a b***** is Alice, Esme (but that may be because we hardly ever see her) and Angela (the human). Every other female is obsessed with her man and turns all sour, bitter, and depressed (including Bella) when he leaves. Everyone was so STUPID! I knew by just reading the excerpt in the New Moon Special Edition who was behind the newborns in Seattle, but only near the end of the book just as the ending is coming in does the obvious identity of the villain occur to ANYONE- no not even that far, only when the villain's identity is discovered just as it approaches does Ed acknowledge this! Nor do they even consider that the vampire who entered Forks was from the obvious vampire villain, Bella panics and suggests this but no one pays her mind. This romance isn't even romantic anymore, it is an unhealthy obsession which only ONE person in the entire book says. Not even the oh so wonderful Cullens try to help Ed's unhealthy relationship. Renee awed over the (creepy) magnet like movements of Ed and Bella- is that supposed to be romantic? The werewolves was the final straw to the camel's back. Imprinting. This story is so obsessed with making everything all true love it ignores homosexuality! There is no freaking mention of it anywhere. Jacob went into a long paragraph of when you imprint that GIRL is all that matters, SHE is your sun, SHE is everything. No thought was even given to possible homosexual werewolves. This isn't surprising if the Mormon stereotype means anything. All in all, this book really annoyed me. Take my advice and just read Twilight, maybe New Moon since Edward was actually emotional at the end. But not Eclipse. Please don't pay heed to the under five sentences reviews whose titles are "I LUV THIS" and go on about how much they love Edward and just love the series. They didn't state why they like the series. Read the reviews that actually go into detail.

Eclipse is an astonishing book and it follows agreeably with the previous two in the series (although nothing can quite compare to the captivating and enthralling essence of Twilight).

I love the book. It was simply amazing. I loved every minute of it the only problem I had in it was the end and even thought I didn't like the way it had to end I still loved it. I felt bad for Jacob but I also hated the way he was trying to win Bella over because I love Edward and if he wasn't in the story it wouldn't really be worth reading. I like Bella but he brings a different piece to the story. With out him the book would be missing something. Over all it was a book that focused on the relationships between Bella and Edward, Bella and Jacob, and Edward and Jacob too. I finish up what was left behind in the last book and left room for the last book as always it left things hanging. Witch is irritating to me and everyone else but it gave a reason for the new book and will make the new book even that more exciting and fell complete. I LOVE Edward Cullen!!! He's everything I think I could ever want. I know he's fictional but he's still the best. Everything about him makes me smile.

I thought that this book was totally fabulous...I totally do not feel sorrow or sadness or sympathy for Jacob. Its totally obvious that Bella was MEANT for Edward, and nobody else. I dont think that Jacob should really come back into the story in Breaking Dawn too much...except if he wants to fight Edward...thatd be totally awesome! Personally I thought that this book was a fabulous sequel to the rather boring/dissapointment that New Moon was, there DEFINATELY should have been much more Edward in that one, but back to Eclipse. As many other readers -- and Stephenie herself, I presume -- I am totally in L O V E with Edward Cullen. Thanks to him, I have VERY high standerds for men. If only he was real....stupid Bella...

this book was the saddest happy book I have ever read. While I sympathize with jacob, I can't help but feel that edward was right for bella. Their love went beyond a single lifetime relationship...it was amazing...and heart wrenching.
