05/11/2002 | I give this 4 stars because it is first-rate entertainment. If you know that you're being completely bull-sh**ed, then it is one hell of a ride. Not really based on a true story, for it's patriotism is so great (whad'ya expect?), it is still a well-crafted, breath-taking film. I suggest it to anyone who won't believe it.
Summary: A BREATH-TAKING AND VERY PATRIOTICAL FILM NOT TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY.

01/10/2002 | Even with Gene Hackman, this film cannot help its self. First SAMs move much faster than they do in the movies and second, the dialogue is terrible and extremely unbelievable. The movie still could have been salvageable, but then, the movie ends with a big hollywood stile ending which is completely unbelievable. If you like military films, you may like this, but you may also hate it because of its unbelievable parts. Pass it by, and if you like Gene Hackman, rent target instead.

12/02/2001 | Like a thousand other film just like it, it succeds in what it is trying to do. Create a film with tons of action and carnage. Behind Enemy Lines succeds admirably. Still, I am anticipating Gene Hackman and Owen Wilson's next project, The Royal Tenenbaums much more than i was this cliched little action flick. Not great, but better than Captain Correli's Mandolin....
