All versions excluding Million Dollar Password were the best. Chronologically, it was Ludden, Kennedy, Convey and Philbin, which also happens to be how I rank the hosts from greatest to poorest!

Great, classic show with Allen Ludden as host is one of my favs.

Excellent game. Terrific host = Allen. Most talented guest player - Betty.

Loved Allen Ludden so Password was always a big favorite. It made for perfect game-playing when his wife Betty was on, too.

Loved the game and the host, Allen Ludden. Best celebrity player of the game was of course: Betty White. Many stars followed and made the program a hit. Sometimes I still see reruns.

i liked this show when i was a kid and i now play it once in a while online at uproar though its not the same.

The password is: mediocre

Password was one of the best game shows ever and Allen Ludden was a terrific host. Best celebrity player was Betty White. As already posted, there were so many great stars who could play that game well: Lucille Ball, Nanette Fabray, and on and on.

All versions rule! Wish GSN could show them again! And too bad ABC destroyed all but maybe a few of their Password's that aired from 4/1971-6/1975. Allen Ludden,Tom Kennedy and Bert Convy did well during their runs on Password, Password Plus, and Super Password! And let's not forget that Bill Cullen filled in for Allen on Password Plus in April and May 1980 and did a great job, that Goodson-Todman rewarded him by having him MC "Blockbusters" on NBc from 10/1980-4/1982. And Carol Burnett, Lucy, Vicki Lawrence, Betty White,Elizabeth Montgomery and Burt Reynolds were good Password players as were Peter Lawford, Kitty Carlsile, Tom Poston, Orson Bean, Phyllis Newman and others. And Password always had great stars . Not only the ones above, but others like Jack Benny,Sammy Davis,Jr.,Phyllis Diller, G. Gordon Liddy(in the 1980's,remember when Liddy played a drug dealer in a 'Miami Vice' episode?),Audrey Meadows,Bob Crane, June Lockhart, Irene Ryan,Donna Douglas, Nancy Kulp, Bob Denver,Barbara Eden, Bill Bixby, Dick Martin and others. If Password weere on now,who do you think would do well? I hope this returns to TV someday. This is another one of my all time favorites.
