 | numbah16tdhaha (156) 05/02/2008 | I dunno, the intentional breakdown of these from an otherwise competent reviewer can be pretty damn funny...

 | lmorovan (18) 05/02/2008 | Nah. They will go quite unnoticed. Make mistakes and laugh about them. When someone call your attention, thank him and show appreciation. That will tickle the ego od the one finding fault and will likely give you a helpful.

 | irishgit (151) 04/28/2008 | That would put you in the minority here, but nobody gives helpfuls for this alone.

 | souljunkie (21) 03/13/2006 | I dont see it that way. I have been called a decent writer many times...but I am a shi--y typist however, if it is too laden with mistakes, it does tend to make you look plain ole' dumb. I dont take this so seriously that I spell check. Dont have the time.

 | GenghisTheHun (177) 03/13/2006 | I make too many typos, and I wish that RIA would let us correct them without losing the helpfuls on the posting. There is no excuse not to use a dictionary. You couldn't get away with sloppiness and error in my day. Does grammar and spelling count in school today? I wonder!
That grammar and spelling don't matter is similar to the argument that as long as you can express yourself, that grammar, syntax and spelling do not count, to the slogan about twenty-five years ago when the "progressive" forces in education were teaching that "dates don't matter. Just so the students get the concepts."
This resulted in kids thinking that the American Civil War, English Civil War and Roman Civil War all happened at the same time! What difference did a few centuries or millennia make, as long as you understood the subject? Does that sound right to you, my dear RIA members?

 | oscargamblesfro (81) 03/13/2006 | We all make typos and grammatical errors from time to time, I know I have. As long as it's legible and in the ballpark, or well argued, or not as simplistic as, say, "Clapton sucks!"

 | Vudija (98) 03/12/2006 | I love that people actually take the time to be grammatically correct, but this means squat if the post is off-topic or pointless. This trait only takes you so far, especially on an opinion/debate site.

 | kamylienne (80) 03/12/2006 | Not really; it's actually more like if you post something that's asinine AND illegible, you've just voted yourself to be the RIA kicking boy of the day.

 | jakemr33 (6) 11/19/2004 | As long as you make a good point and can somewhat understand your grammar, regardless of your spelling, I'll give ya a helpful.

 | bibliophile (12) 11/19/2004 | Do the best you can, but don't fret over it. There is one reviewer - I'm sure he knows who he is - who misspells frequently, often to comic effect. At times I almost enjoy his misspelling. UPDATE: Who am I kidding? There's no almost about it. His misspellings are so humorous I look forward to them each and every day. I am somewhat disppointed when he has a good spelling day. IJR, don't ever change, baby.
