Canidae All Life Stages 1

I, too, gave this food a 5 star a year ago. Now, with the new formula it doesn't even deserve a 1!! I knew about the change and switched over very slowly and my 2 GSD's still couldn't adjust!! Canidae has made me so mad with this change. My opinion is they made this formulation crap so people would try their new grain free. But they lost this customer. I researched new foods and finally decided to try Taste of the Wild/Bison and Venison, grain free and my girls are doing AWESOME! Even better than with the old Canidae. My one girl has EPI so I am always "poop watching"!! No bad poop with TOW and the dogs love it.

My puppy loves the food and the vet says he is doing awesome since the change. He was not gaining weight and was the runt who was shunned from the later at only 2 days old. I am glad that I risked trying Canidae ALS because it is awesome for him. Light stools is because it isnt taking forever to digest so there is nothing wrong with that. Some people on here sound so knowledgeable about dog foods but when they say they gave it to their pets once and he pukes and say that Canidae is poison, should probably be taking their dog to the vets or not give them so much food at one time. I just have to shake my head., please read the positive comments on here, they are very helpful and accurate. They did do wrong by not informing their customers but the food was definitely changed for the better.  Dogs like people have different tastes... it does not mean the food is so called poison. Thanks to Canidae.. they helped save my puppy's life.

Both of my dogs eat canidae and has never had a issue. The food is great. They were eating different food that was causing many issues and once we switched them over to canidae there coat improved, there skin improved, and they love it. Never once has canidae given them loose stole. I don't think I will switch to different food.

quick question, i noticed many people unhappy w/ new change to canidae. if someone finds a better dog food, could they please let us know what they found. sometimes the more you read up on a product, the more confusing it really is. thank you. ps. i only picked 5 star in hopes that people would ready my rating. i have never tried candidae but am looking to rotate my foods, my cattle dog loves from family gold!

After my post on 9/21, I wrote them an email and never got a reply. They don't care. My store is thinking of pulling Canidae off the shelf after many complaints from their customers - and I hope, they do. I am afraid, that now that Canidae is with Diamond, a decline in revenue just for one brand - "Canidae" - won't bother them much. My dog still has loose yellow stool. We were trying California naturel and it did change a little, but not good enough for me. So we are still searching. Once in a while, I give her a bone - that helps with the loose stool, but not with the color. Anybody knows, what makes the dog's stool yellow?

I have been feeding my wheaten terrier canidae all life stage because that is what the breeder gave him. He is now 11 months old and has done great up until August of this year, with the new formula his stool is yellow and he has non stop gas. I thought it might take him awhile to adjust to the new formula but I fear for him. Wheatens have a lot of allergys and must not eat a strict high protein or any wheat corn white rice or soy. I am not sure now what to feed him. I am very disappointed in the Canidae Co.

NEVER NEVER NEVER Feed your dog the newly formulated Canidae!!! i can't stress this enough. I fed my dog the old formula for a year and her stools were perfect and good health. Canidae didn't tell anyone about the change in manufacturer or the change in formula. My dog had horrible runny stools, itching, and may have even done damage to her intestines. We have been working with the vet for the past month, and now it is clear. I changed to Innova and Natural Balance organics and we still can't straighten it out. SHe NEVER had digestive problems before. Never. Now she is on rice and turkey (all organic) and still has stool problems. I have no idea how to fix this, but I will never, never never let Canidae back away from the irresponsbility. Tell everyone you know. YOur dog is far too precious to risk this. I am so, so disappointed. I wrote to them in late August and they gave me the line about increasing grains and any time food changes, dogs have loose stool. Before this, my dog had an iron stomach. We could go away to friends' and she would eat their dogs' food and she was always fine. I am so so so so so angry and hurt. DON"T FEED YOUR DOG CANIDAE!!

The old food was good, or i should say great. My puppy loved it, and can eat it down like it was his first time. But when the new batch came, he started to have stomache problems. I tried a little experiment on him, just to see if it was the food. I gave him the original food and he at it, then i mixed in the new food with it, he still ate it but not as much. Then i just gave him the new food by itself, and guess what happened. He didn't even look at it, he actually took one of his toys and placed it over the food. I had never seen anything like that happened before. That must really mean that he hates the food. There must be something in the food that makes him dislike it. Only if Canidae goes back to their origanal formula it will be great, but i know it won't happen because they went cheap. I would not rate this food in the 5 star class anymore. Just see how many reviews on this food went from good to bad. This food is really bad now, if anyone who is thinking about switching their puppy or dog over to this food. DON'T!!!!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT IF YOU DO!!!!! Believe us dog owners that went through a bad time with this food, but if you don't then try it for yourself to see. It might be for your dog, but definately not mine and a lot of others.

My name is Allan Rouge and I live in Crescent city Ca.I just went back to work so I haven't been able to keep a close eye on my Old English sheep dog-I too had started to notice changes in him scratching his paws and having gas and bad breath and the runs-I accused my wife of feeding him table food, then I thought he must be eating slugs or something his "poops" were very yellow and glossy never really solid like they were,so I called my brother and asked him if he still fed his dog Canidae-his rapid reply was no they change the formula and discribed what I have just did so I had some leftover in my dogs travel bucket and the next morning his "poop" were normal--firm and the same color they always were--I threw out the balance of the bad food and am going to buy innova dog food aafco approved and a good formula-hope this helps.

We have 4 dogs ages 1-12 years old. All are having yellow loose stools on the new formula of Canidae Lamb Meal and Rice dry dog food. We are 1/2 way through our 2nd bag and it has not resolved. Any suggestions for a new food (without salt)? We had switched 1 year ago and all were doing great on it until the formula switch.

I have fed Canidae for many years. I currently have three dogs. I have gone through two bags of "new" 30# Canidae Platinum and have had no problems. I have looked over their new ingredients and I am pleased with the new diversified panel. I feel it is a better bag of food than before.    My dogs are doing well so I am happy.

The new formula of Canidae is giving one of our dogs non-stop gas, literally! She has turned into a gross guy with beer farts. Another dog of ours has loose yellow tinged stools. He has an iron gut typically and has yet to have loose stools until this bag of food. He has ate 2 trays of meat loaf, not intentional on our part and we never saw the consequences. We will be returning the food.  I contacted a friend who also feeds Canidae and her dog has yet to have a formed stool since the new Canidae as well. Too bad because Canidae used to be good. I don't feel it was an honest move to not inform the public who is buying the food either.

I moved to Germany about 2 months ago and it is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to find nutritional dog food anywhere. Ordering online is a no-go, since german laws forbid you to import pet food from U.S or Australia. So I came across this pet store based in Munich that sell Canidae, I am about to purchase this for my pug for the first time. Should I be worried? I'm going to mix it with her normal food for about 2-3 weeks, and then have her straight on the dry food and canned food after that. Will this disrupt her already sensitive digestive system? She use to be so full of energy back home, but since we moved here she has been a little lazy... I am in two minds about it now, some reviews say its really good dog food, then the other say that its really bad.. and I dont want to have to keep taking my dog back to the vet every so often because of bad food. Can anyone suggest where I can buy nutritional dog food in Europe? Please help!!!!

I own a retail pet supply store in Oregon. Im very unhappy about canidae. They have changed there formula and most people dont even know it.There was nothing on the out side of the bags saying new formula.I wasnt even told about the change in the formula. Now I have customers coming in telling me of the problems there pets are having with this product. from getting sick, itching, ear infections the list gos on. they have added three grains to there food, one being barley. What are they thinking???? there are so many dogs out there with allergy problems with this grain. and millit, come on people we all know this is a bird food. This is all filler crap, they have made the bags smaller and raised the price. they HAD a good pet food but not now.Why didnt they use an oatmeal, that would be better than what they are using now.PEOPLE READ YOUR BAGS OF DOG FOOD PLEASE I have been changing my cutomers over to EAGLE PACK HOLISTIC SELECT, AND TASTE OF THE WILD.EVO,and looking in to dick vanpattens wellness. I am reserching more pet food.

This food is highly nutritional. My dog really likes it and it isn't very expensive either. He loves the taste, it has improved his coat, and I can't think of one negative thing to say about this food. It is perfect for active dogs.

I chose Canidae after the Diamond scare and and was always pleased with the quality of the product. My active sport dog and my 12 year old retired dog both did very well on the old formula. I was informed at the pet store that 40 lb bags were no longer available and I noticed a difference in the overall appearance and smell of the kibble when I opened the bag. I compared the bags and discovered the formula change. My dogs noticed it also. They are not as enthusiastic to eat and their stools have been soft for nearly 2 weeks. I stopped feeding Diamond because I had found a superior product. Once again, I am looking for a new dog food for my girls.

Well, the website made me give a rating, but I can't rate the new formulation yet as we just opened the bag of ALS a couple of days ago, but I talked with someone from Canidae and thought I would add what they told me to the forum. I was told that they were forced to change their formula because there is a scarcity of brown rice following the natural disasters in SE Asia. She confirmed that the changes to the formulation were not a downgrade, just a diversification based on availability. She said the new formulation was richer and denser than the old one, so the reactions the dogs are having are similar to what we might experience if we had a rich Thanksgiving dinner 5 days in a row. She said that because of the increased density the quantities should be reduced and that they are currently doing testing to determine exactly what amounts to recommend. I commented that this should have been done prior to distributing the product and she agreed, but stated that because they couldn't get the ingredients they needed they had to either make a change or stop production. I don't think there is anything bad in the new formulation... the rep stated that Diamond offers a list of available ingredients and they only select 5-star ingredients. I also think it is still an above average dog food. I will, however, be cautious and watchful while I feed my four babies this new bag and see what their reaction is.

OK, Let's clear up the FACTS of these troublesome ingredients everyone is complaining about! As we all know Canidae has changed their formulas to provide a healthier low carb diet. Rice bran, Barley, and Tomato Pomace are not BAD ingredients! Rice bran is rich in fat and fiber. It contains many natural antioxidants, including vitamin E. The fiber it contains helps promote ideal stool quality and good digestive health. Barley is a complex carb source like oatmeal, also a good source of dietary fiber. It also contributes 50% more protein than rice ingredients. Barly provides a source of B vitamins as well as natural antioxidants. Antioxidants are important for maintaining excellent overall health, promotes a healthy digestive tract, reduces the risk of cancers, lowers blood cholesterol levels and aids in disease resistance! And finally, Tomato Pomace, another natural fiber source that provides the perfect blend of soluble and insoluble fiber for digestive health and good stool quality. It is also a source of Lycopene and vitamin C, more antioxidants!! So could it be all that good fiber that your pets may not be use to that is causing all your belly aching? Well go ahead and switch to a lesser quality food and see who benefits in the long run.

Canidae All Life Stages 1

We fed our lab Canidae All-Life stages for nearly a year with no problems at all. We bought a bag sometime in early August (2008) and noticed that both the packaging and the weight of the bag were different, but didn't notice any other "obvious" changes to the ingredient list. After we started feeding it to our dog, he had a few bouts of vomiting, then loose stools and a lot of gas, and continues to do so even after 3 weeks (should be plenty of time to adjust, yes??). The last time this happened, we had changed his forumla because we ran out of Canidae, and it isn't availably locally (we are a bit isolated, and the nearest retailer is 80 miles away). Not having undergone any other changes besides the suspected changes in the Canidae, I compared old to new formula ingredients, did see some less than obvious changes, and then I started reading comments online and find that many fora that say the same thing: Canidae changed the packaging, the weight, and, most importantly, the forumla, and the result for many other pet owners is much as I described here. Now we are searching for another brand. You know, if it's not broken, don't try to fix it. But I guess that doesn't apply to making a profit...

I gave a 5 star rating of this food about a year ago. my dogs have done wonderful on this. my older dogs dandruff disappeared and i have raised my 7 month old pup on this since she was a baby. now, canidae has changed the ingredients without letting loyal customers like me know, and neither me or my dogs are happy. they just aren't as into the food as they used to be. luckily, mine have not got as sick as some of the pets i have read about have. i emailed canidae and it took them forever to send me basically a standard email of how much better the new food was, blah, blah, blah. i am currently now in the market for a new food for my girls. the fact that canidae has gotten just a little bit too big for its britches irritates me. i had hoped when i first started using this food that canidae would not change the formula, and i knew this would happen if they did. too bad, they have lost me as a customer and i tell everyone i know not to use it. i used to brag about this food to anyone who had a dog that would listen, no more. to me, they are no longer one of the premium foods. by by canidae.

I have 16 dogs all that were on Nutro. A couple of the smaller ones "might" have had slightly loose stools but my Newfie had serious problems. After a lot of research I switched her onto Canidae ALS and was really pleased with the improvement. I then switched the other 15 over too. Shortly after I switched them all onto Canidae the formula changed. Now the Newf is back to the same old problems and to make matters worse now some of the little guys are the same. So now I'm starting all over again looking for a decent food. It's too bad Canidae got greedy. Even if they'd dropped the bag size by 5lbs and kept the price the same I'd have stuck with them. But dropping the quantity and quality of ingredients so that my dogs are suffering the consequences forces me to look elsewhere. I'm not a huge customer, maybe 60-70 large bags a year, so the loss of my business likely won't impact them too much. But I have a friend who goes through twice what I do and she's changing too. Now between the two of us that's still only around a $10,000 loss but from what I hear we're not the only two that are dumping Canidae. I wonder if the cheapening of ingredients is going to save them enough to make up for the huge customer loss they're facing. I know once my dogs are completely off it I'll never go back onto it.

This food used to be awesome and they changed the formula and who makes it(Diamond) and now its not. Horrible diaherra, vomiting, hair falling out and this was within the first couple feedings. I emailed the company and their response was a link back to the website with the change...so I'm suppose to check it everytime I go out to see if the food has changed. No apologies. I have 4 big dogs and now they have lost a two bag a month customer. I have tried most of the premium brands before I had success on the original Canidae and I only have about 3 more to try. Both of my premium pet food stores that I shop at have said that a lot of dogs are getting ill and one of my store owners told me she won't even carry it anymore and she's considering dropping Solid Gold too. Currently my dogs are on NOW! by Petcurean and doing pretty good. Bottom line this is no longer premium food and don't waste your money or force your pet to suffer.

My dog has been eating Canidae for more than a year now. It worked great for my dog! Their formula changed recently and you can tell from the texture. I still fed my dog with the new formula but she was vomiting and had loose stools for one week. My dog didn't have the appetite to eat after that and was lethargic most of the time. I now switched to another food. I am just disappointed why Canidae would change their formula.

I have fed my four goldens Canidae wanting to give them a quality dog food. They started not eating their food, so I mixed some canned canidae in, which they ate, but it did have globs of fatty looking things in the can. I am really worried about the bad reviews and the changes in the company of their new formulas. My dogs do have soft stools, and seem to have more of them. I am so confused and not trusting any company with my babies. I guess I will look for a new food, or start making my own. I just wanted one dog food company to be good, and give people who want better food for their dogs to have a choice.

I loved Canidae. My dogs looked very healthy. I bought a new bag 3 weeks ago. We went on vacation and when I came back, one of my Goldens was chewing the bottom of her paws and the other had a severe inflamed ear that the vet said was a allergy reaction. I now realize the formula was change. Why did they do that. Now I must find a new food. I also want to say that both of their coats seem a bit dull. What a shame.

Same here. I've been using Canidae Lamb & Rice for a couple of years with good results and then I go buy a huge bag of food and it's completely different. I checked out the website and found out they changed the formula. I am now searching for a new food to feed, I am looking at either Innova or Wellness. Before canidae I was feeding Back to Basics and loved the food, but it is very pricy to get now with the shipping from new york.

This was a great food.  I fed it for 2 years!  Now?  Just search online.  My dog is having loose stools and threw up 2 times (in a month since the change).  Granted i can just 'deal with it' (as Canidae CS basically told me to do:  It takes a good 6 weeks before your dog adjusts) but I mine as well just switched her cold turkey to a different food.  Food is being mfg'ed by Diamond and that leaves a bad taste in my mouth.  Yeah sure their QC is state of the art today but still...  Canidae shot themselves in the foot.  I know they are trying to be the next Purina but come on, they had a good thing now they are being greedy and sneaky.  Well who knows what the reasons are but I have switched to Innova/Natura.  Gave it one star for the poor business practice Canidae is following.

I mix a little canned food into my 2 Springer's dry food. I found BIG pieces of something that looked like gristle in a can of Canidae. No telling what it actually was. That was the last can of Canidae that I bought. I don't like spending top dollar for dog food and then finding strange things in it. I was going to put the dogs on the Canidae dry, but changed my mind after doing some research and reading all the horror stories. I switched them to Innova with good results so far.

I bought two large 44lbs bags 10 days ago (the only store that carries it near me is an hour away so i like to stock up) not knowing that they had changed the formula, only that "hey wow, they have larger bags now!" My Beaudroux (american bulldog/mix, 60 lbs, 1 yr old) used to scarf this food down. But when i fed him from the new bag he didnt attack it with as much zeal as he used to. Even as to leave some in the bowl one day! His hair started to fall out and he was itchy, had a strong doggy odor even after a bath 5 days ago, which never happened with the old canidae. And his energy level dropped. His stools became looser and "puffy" and was going more frequently.

I did a little research on sunday and come to find that they changed their formula and others were having the same if not worse symptoms.
Shame on canidae for ruining a good thing. I would of gladly payed a price increase if it meant they kept their formula the same instead of so called "improving" it. My dog used to thrive on it and all the attention and wonderful comments I got about his coat ect. Now he is miserable.

I am very disappointed with canidae. I returned both bags to the store yesterday and bought some EVO Read Meat which has no grains and I have heard good news about them. I hope he does well on it.

I am a K-9 handler and loved the results that I've seen. their stools are smaller and their coats are much better. We had them on Eukanuba for awhile and notice that there was blood in the stools. Since they have been on Canidae, no blood. However, since they are going to a smaller bag and keeping the same price, I, may be shopping around for something different for our K-9 partners. Afterall, Can't afford to have 17 sickly dogs because of the different formula.

I am a pug owner and breeder and I had been using Canidae for several years with excellent results until they cut the corners and instilled changes into thier foods which caused digestive upset and even allergies, and when I went in for my last bag I even noticed they "sneekily" cut 5lbs from the 40lb bag of maintenance to charge more without informing their loyal customers. I am not liking what I see happening to this company, and am in the process of researching better foods and companies with more integrity. I will be writting an article on what I find out and what I change to and advocate for our puppies and adults.
This is very disappointing to say the least. :(

Canidae All Life Stages 4

Well too bad for Canidae, they have lost a customer. I also have recently joined a Boxer Forum, and all the blogs written about canidae are the same. So, we are on our last bag, and moving into making our own food for the dogs. Everytime I think I have found a good food the companies have to go and screw it all up..So we are done with the kibble bagged food..Bye Bye Canidae..Too bad you are dropping low on the totem pole!!!

Canidae All Life Stages 1

Canidae has just changed their ingrediants, poundage on bags and most importantly, the plant that processes their food.  The new plant has had more law suits against them than any other and recently had to pay out 3.1 million dollars from a 2005 law suit.   BUYER BEWARE - Canidae has made a very poor choice here.  We do not know where their ingrediants are now sourced in.  It may say it was made in the USA, but that does not mean the ingrediants are from the US.  They have changed the herring meal to Ocean Fish Meal.  As long as they name it as a meal, they do not have to say how the meal is preserved.  It could be chemically preserved, we just do not know.  There seem to be more fiber sources, which means your meat content will be lower.  I know of one store that has had several of the new bags brought back.  Be sure - whatever you decide to feed - to call the company and ask questions.

Canidae All Life Stages 1

Canidae has changed their formula on the Lamb and Rice as well. They advertised in prominate labeling on the bag, "Now with Fresh Lamb" and in smaller, lighter print "and diversified carbohydrates". The Fresh Lamb label is very easy to see....not so much the other (unless you are looking for it) I am also told by one of their sales reps that this product is now being made at the same facility as Diamond dog foods. The change in the formulation, I was told, was due to the availability of other carbohydrate sources and financial considerations. I discovered the formulation change after feeding the new Lamb and rice diet to my 3 German Shepherd dogs ( Who have been eating this product for 18 mos.). One of my dogs has serious food allergies to barley and tomato pomice ( a filler they now use.). My poor dog started itching, scratching and vomiting. Next day with diarrhea also. I have E-mailed the company of my displeasure over their apparent comcern for their own bottom line and lack of concern for the health and well being of our pets. Shame on them. I am no longer a Canidae consumer.

****Update: 7/4/08. Just a note concerning Canidae. They have changed the formula for their All Life Stages formula recently. Go to the website www.canidae.com for more info. It would seem they also replaced Herring meal with the standard Ocean fish meal. Should be interesting to see if others that are currently feeding Canidae will continue so.

Here is the reformulated version

Canidae All Life Stages 3

It is great to read all these blogs about Canidae dog food, mostly All Life Stages.  I thought I was alone being super-concerned about my dog's nutrition/health. I am ex-army dog handler, and my black lab & golden retr. started as pups I raised for PAWS WITH A CAUSE; dogs meant for the disabled, the dogs flunked so now their mine.

I share many of these blogs concern for quality of Canidae purchased recently.  I used Canidae 4 months ago and had no problem. Following the dog food poison problem of 2007 I mostly go all homemade raw for two dogs. However, began to buy commercial food to add just handful to raw, like sprinkes on a donut.  Over years have switched to all premium brands: EVO, Barking at Moon, etc.

Ten days ago bought Canidae ALS and made 75/25% mix of regular raw and Canidae;  the Canidae amount  was almost nothing.  Immediately black lab & golden retr. had diarreha, some all liquid, then very mushy, then all liquid.etc.  After ten days they are improving slightly, I'm try to give Canidae benefit of the doubt, but the blacklab has a cast iron stomach, and between your blogs and my dogs I'M SUSPECTING SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THIS BATCH OF CANIDAE.  No other problems exist now, they are alert, very energetic, and coat/skin are OK.  But there should not be this severe diarreha for over ten days on a 75/25 mix.

From your blogs, it bothers me many of you report Canidae DOES NOT return your emails.  There is also an iternet  report of Canidae dog food containing a pain killer; report seems unconfirmed or confusing at this time.  Canidae Co. better wise-up and answer its customer's emails, and put tighter controls on quality assurance because something appears wrong recently.

Let's keep watching Canidae, and hope they respond to us.

Canidae All Life Stages 5

My standard poodle, Bella has had an ear infection every other month for the past year.  Up until I switched her from Eukanuba For large dogs to a 50/50 mix of Caninae and Merrick (any flavor).  I switched back in November and she has not had an infection since.  No smelly ears!  She also loves it.  Her old food she would leave in the bowl and reluctantly munch on it later in the day.  Now with her new healthy food, she starts on it early and it is gone by the middle of the day.  Great dog food!!

I'M ALWAYS LOOKING FOR BETTER FOOD FOR MY BEST FRIEND...DAKOTA. WE'VE HAD THIS BEAUTIFUL FAITHFUL WHITE GERMAN SHEPHERD FOR 9 YEARS, AND SHE STILL THINKS SHE'S A PUPPY. IT KILLS ME TO THINK I ALMOST KILLED MY DOG WITH THIS CANIDAE PLATINUM. I'M LUCKY MY DOG IS SMARTER THAN I AM WHEN IT COMES TO KNOWING POISON, AND IT ONLY TOOK ONE MEAL TO MAKE HER START VOMITING BILE, GET VERY WEAK, AND NOT EVEN WANT TO GO OUTSIDE. I MADE HER BOILED CHICKEN & RICE AND SHE WAS HAPPY AGAIN, TRIED TO INTRODUCE A LITTLE OF THE CANIDAE IN WITH THE CHICKEN THE NEXT DAY....SHE WOULDN'T GO NEAR IT. DAKOTA GOT SICK ONE OTHER TIME WHEN SHE ACCIDENTLY GOT SOME TURKEY SKIN, SO WE KNEW THE SYMPTOMS OF BAD FOOD. I GAVE IT A RATING OF ONE ONLT BECAUSE THERE WERE NO MINUSES, THIS FOOD IS DANGEROUS, I TRULY GIVE IT A "MINUS FIVE" FOR HURTING MY BEST FRIEND! DON'T TRUST IT!

Canidae All Life Stages 5

We have had our German Shorthaired Pointer since he was 8 weekes old. When we got him from the breeder he was on a dog food I had never heard of and found out it was really bad. We had slowly transitioned him to Iams, he had horrible diarrhea, treated him for everything under the sun... x-rays for possible bowel obstruction, giardia, you name it. Switched food (very, very slowly) several more times. Hundreds of dollars later and no better our vet told us about Canidae All Life Stages. He told us that the you can feed your dog anything but make sure that the protiens are coming from a top quality source. He told us that he would rank Canidae in the top 5 dog foods if not #1. He gave me many other details, the food has a good range of probiotics, balanced omega 3 and 6, and on and on. Our dog guzzled it up, no more diarrhea, he goes less frequently than on Iams and Science Diet, his coat has never looked better! I do supplement our dog with a raw diet to get extra protien because he is extremely active and burns through his calories. I would absolutely tell anyone to use this product. If you are unsure of a good food I would check out www.dogfoodanalysis.com they do a great job at breaking down each food and telling the pros and the cons.
