Ms. Kagan brings flair, obvious intelligence, magnetic appeal and a most welcome and refreshing honest approach to the desk. Without a doubt she is America's favorite television journalist.

A conceited bitch

Normally I would not bother to comment, I think surveys are inane, but seeing all the negatives convinced me to voice my opinion. I like Daryn's interviewing style, she is comfortable, and sometimes disarming with her smile. The rare occasion I have seen her commit an error have been gracefully handled. Her dedication is apparent with the amount of substitutions she has been doing over the holidays. She has a friendly and upbeat demeanor. Finally, she is easy to look at, I love her facial expressions. I suggest CNN find a position for her that goes beyond anchor. Utilize your assetts CNN. Something to break up the top three stories that are repeated endlessly.

First of all, it amazes me that I viewed several 1 or 2 ratings for Daryn. Having met her and seen her excude her brillance and personality, I can only say she is a class act -- a true 5. She is smart, witty and a dynamo.

Daryn's got it all: brains, beauty, wit, and charm. It's no wonder she's rated so high on every poll. FYI - Daryn started as a news reporter, not in sports. She was as a general assignment news reporter at KTVK-TV in Phoenix. During her tenure, she received three local Emmy Award nominations and was named top reporter in the seven-state Rocky Mountain region. Her first television job was at KEYT-TV in Santa Barbara, Calif., where she worked as an anchor and reporter. She also earned a bachelor's degree in communication and American studies from Stanford University.

Other ratings here are sure a surprise to me. Kagan is not what I'd call a superior journalist. Often looks as though she's displeased, about what, who can say? Competent sure, but that's all.

Aside from being obviously attractive, Daryn has shown repeatedly that she is intelligent, capable of carrying a show on her own or with a co-anchor, and her personality is second to none. I can see why she consistently rates so high in viewer polls.

Daryn Kagan is smart, quick witted, most engaging to watch. CNN should have given her the American Morning spot instead of her clone, no offense to Soledad. I point to Daryn to show my daughters that you can be beautiful and SMART.

I just loved watching CNN in the morning with Bill Hemmer and Daryn Kagan and Jack Mc. Most enjoyable time of the day for me. There WAS such good humor between the three. I believed they truly liked each other and did not want to upstage each other. What a team. Now Daryn is gone. What is wrong with CNN?????

I can't believe CNN gave Soledad O'Brien the morning job over Daryn Kagan.Daryn has real good chemistry with Hemmer and Cafferty plus her personality works for morning television.Also she is a good looking woman without having that overly sexy look some woman anchors have.Another mistake by CNN.

All opinion and all teeth....she must have 64 in her mouth which is even more noticeable because her mouth is always open and going. Heidi Collins is perfect for the morning slot.

CNN has an embarrassment of riches! Who should replace Paula on AM? Daryn or Carol or Heidi? Slight edge to Daryn. They're all very easy on the eyes, but Daryn is the sharpest, smartest, and wittiest of the trio.

Ms Kagan is as good as Ms Costello. They almost look like sisters!!

I really do not see what the "HYPE" is about this chick. I watched her for the past two mornings to see what the rave was about and there is none.. nada... she is AVERAGE if that. I'm I missing something here???

Very unproffessional! And she's not that pretty compared to Carol and Paula.

I feel that Daryn comes across as too harsh, she projects, especially lately, the attitude 'if you get in MY career path way, I will feed you to the wolves". I don't like watching that attitude.

Daryn you do an absolutley great job. You are a perfect replacement for Paula. I certainly envy the two guys working with you.
