He did some bad stuff, like the border and our out of control spending but he has turn the war around

I haven't lived during the times of all the presidents before him, so I can't say he's the worst president ever (although it seems to me that he's certainly is trying hard to win that prize). I'm disappointed and frustrated by so many of his decisions, but not completely surprised. His presidency will leave behind a legacy of poor choices and nonsensical speeches. I'm looking forward to him leaving office very soon!! The countdown is ON, thank goodness.

I believe that Bush is the worst president. He has ruined our econmey and kept our men fighting a war. The people in Iraq doesn't even want us there and are killing the fighting soliders with no apprecaition. Our taxs are out rageous and we might be heading twords a depreission because of it. He is just tring to finish what is father started. What about our own country that in in proverty.

Have not been happy with a lot of the decisions he has made for the USA. usually try to not speak of current presidents. I will be glad to see him leave.....!

At this point, all I have to say is that I am grateful that a president can only serve two terms. No matter who wins, Bush will be gone as of January 2009.

UPDATE: I remember some were talking about how CEOs might actually be acceptable models for presidents ... that is, if CEOs were truly judged on company performance. I'm not about to accept the analogy wholesale, but we do now know that even the stock market does about twice as well under Democratic than Republican administrations. That's not what sent me marching into the street in '03, but it may be helpful for the more straight-up business-oriented voters to know about how badly the GOP hurts their pocketbook ...

ORIGINAL POST 4/8/07: Bush is the first, and hopefully will be our last, CEO president. Never once seems he to have acted in the interests of the people themselves; instead, he has always had some faction at his ear, whether corporate, neoconservative, or religious-fundamentalist. It's truly an accomplishment to have been as much of an asshole as he has been -- hated equally (as of his second term) by liberals and authentic conservatives; intensely secretive yet also folksy; cunning yet also stupid. It seems unjust to have to give him one star.

I think he's been okay to good. He's def. better than John Kerry or Al Gore. I think he lost a lot of credibility by going after Saddam instead of Bin Laden.

Does anyone honestly think Gore or Kerry would have done any better when faced with the challenges Bush has been faced? From 9-11 to Katrina to the housing market? He was dealt a VERY bad hand and he did what he could.

It will take us decades to undo the damage that George Bush has done to the U.S. - and some of it (dead in Iraq, Katrina, etc.) can't be undone.

I believe President Bush has done very good things for this Great Nation. I agree with the War in Iraq and I beleive he is a fellow Christian. He has made mistakes however which is why I give him the rating of good.

I think George Bush is a good man. I've been following my gut as far as how I feel about him, and the job he is doing as president. To those of you who think they could do better, or know of someone who could do better, here was your chance to vote in who you want. George Bush should never have won that first election! He ruined our counrty, sent us into an unnecessary war, that we are still paying BILLIONS of dollars for, and I just DON'T like him at all and am SOOOOO glad he is out of office at the end of the year!

GWB has disappointed me. I voted for him the first time and I still believe he was preferable to Al Gore, but something happened along the way: it's like he was hit by "dumb-O rays" (as the Pigs in Space used to say on the old Muppett Show). A compliant, Republican controlled Congress compounded his incompetence by rubberstamping everything he did. In the process they abdicated their Constitutionally mandated responsibility to act as a counterbalance to the Executive branch. The price might be political gridlock but I believe the nation is better off when the Executive and Legislative branches are not in the hands of one party. Was GWB the worst President in U.S. history? Who's to say since none of us were around when, say, Millard Filmore was president. But I think he is the worst in my lifetime, which dates back to Harry Truman.

Worst president this country has ever witnessed! I've been an independent voter my entire life...the very fact that some Republican conservatives actually can't admit and accept that this man has MANY MANY MANY faults and continue to be impressed by him tells me that they are unpatriotic and only care about their party not their country. This isn't a sport with winning teams and losing teams...this is a country who needs us to be smart enough to know when we've made a mistake (GWBush) so we don't fail again.
