I dare you to look up Safeco (aka Progressive) in the BBB,anywhere. UNSAT. I'll cut to the chase. Hit by someone with Progressive Insurance? Get a lawyer. All states have a state bar referral service. You can get a 1/2 hour for about $30. All you need to take these clowns to small claims and get your vehicle fixed properly. Then get on your State representatives case about why this company is able to operate. This is a very dishonest company

Not bad as far as treatment of insured and claimants. Unlike State Farm or AAA, they don't go into an investigation assuming that you're trying to rip them off.

Progressive Auto 3

In parts of the Northeast, they are the default company for the risk pool, meaning if you can't get auto coverage from a conventional company (due to DWI or other cancellation) you get these guys. Rates tend to be high but when you have nowhere else to go, it's nice to find a solution.

Good prices and decent customer service. . .while I was in college, they handled all of my address changes with ease and didn't treat me like a criminal when I had a ticket.
