CVS in Wellington, Florida does not care if they bill medicare correctly. Two times they told me that the medications my doctor prescribed were not covered by my plan and was charged full-price for the medications. Finally, I showed them proof of their goof-up after getting a letter from Medicare stating that the medication was covered. They did refund one $100.00 over-charge. I am still waiting for CVS to call the medicare company I am enrolled in to get another $195.00 overcharge, Instead of paying just $3.63 for both prescriptions, they took almost $300.00 dollars from me. They are defrauding the seniors. They think we are stupid and won't ask questions. When the pharmacist found out i was right, she made some snide remark that I was right for once. I wonder how many thousands of seniors they have lied to in order to pad their pockets

The CVS in my neighborhood is the worst EVER! I have yet to go there to have a RX filled or re-filled without encountering numerous problems. In addition to that the staff is not friendly at all. Whenever they mess up they make it sound it's either my problem or my physicians - it's never their problem and they never apologize for any mistake, like wrong meds given, or wrong dosage, or RX not ready when promised. They have actually lost my prescriptions and I had to get a new one from my doctor.
Unbelievable! I get most of my meds on-line, but if I need something right away I have no choice but to go to CVS, since the other pharmacies are too far away. I'm tempted to try the WalMart pharmacy, but maybe I should read the reviews for them first.

I usually ask myself this question, "If they can short their team, what stops them from shorting me, the consumer?"

The concept of customer service is lost, because of corporate greed. The employee to customer ratio is terribly low. When you run a store or business at the bare minimum, you, the consumer, get the bare minimum. The company, in itself, is greedy as greedy gets. It's all about taking the most, and giving the least. For those of you who believe that this store doesn't consider you a "number", think again.

The CVS card is just like every other card out there... a UPC code. In short, a number. You're a number. Plain and simple. The concept of your "friendly neighborhood business" is lost because of stores like this. Buy low, sell at the highest. Offer coupons to keep people coming back, but never take a cut.

I, personally, believe they're a drain on the economy. Instead of laying people off, they just, straight up, FIRE the higher paid employees that stay 20 years, earn the 2% over an over, and push the 401k as much as they can. Then, after they terminate the more experienced, they hire fresh new "younger" people who are stupid enough to take minimum wage, and have to earn their dues just like the old. That way, the numbers stay solid by keeping wages low, and they look sterling to the general public by telling them they had to let certain untrustworthy employees go for breaking company policies.

Choke the employees by cutting hours, increasing workload, and set impossible policies. The smart will quit, the stubborn will get fired, and the determined will get heart disease and/or stroke. That's the Caremark way.

As far as the pharmacy is concerned, the reason they act like they help you is simple. They're following the Federal Law (mostly). Due to HIPPA, and other regulations it is unlawful to deny people certain rights. If a pharmacy (This includes any pharmacy in the nation) violates any of these laws, heavy fines follow a violation. So, when you hear,"No problem, we can do you a favor by (insert regulation here). That makes it convenient, too, for you, thanks to our company." its complete bull. The company doesn't care, and rarely the employees do. They're not paid enough to care that much, anyway. If you DO get the kind hearted, warm, and friendly employee... count yourself lucky, it rarely exists. They won't be there too long, anyway.

Look at the ratio of good in comparison to bad comments. Sad part is, that all the good comments are straight TEXTBOOK general comments from the company employee handbook. I would know, I was one of them.

I hate this store! I hate the stupid cheap carpet they put over the tile that was there when it was Long's. It smells bad! The employees were stressed and not helpful. I had to listen to a phone conversation/argument before they would let me pay at the check out. I will never, ever go into that store again. That is exactly what I told myself walking out the door, and that is exactly what i mean. This store gets no stars. -0 stars

I will never shop at CVS pharmacy again.

They can't seem to keep out of politics. They should understand that taking
one side will alienate them from another. Therefore it's better to just stay
out.

Don't pull adds for any form when it involves freedom of speech.

Good bye "back to school dollars" from me and my family!!

Again, run your business and stay out of the politics.

This morning I shopped the Padanaram Rd CVS in Danbury, CT.
Luis; an associate, was asked by Charlotte (sp?) to ring up customers today. At that moment - there were no additional customers waiting on line behind me until the point where my receipt was printing out.

Luis was demanding and rude while ringing me up this morning @ the Danbury, CT CVS. First he didnt greet me at all. Next he demanded I take certain items out of my cart before others (ie the paper towels) w/o being polite; saying "please" he just barked out commands. When he asked if I was going to use my cart (I spent over 70.00 in the store, including heavy bulk items ) Plus there were plenty of free carts in the cart area in general..
I replied "Im not sure yet.." we werent done ringing up yet.

When I placed my coupon vouchers on the counter he just pushed them aside one almost falling to the ground.
What rude and inconvenient service. The store, being understaffed as Ive norticed before did not bother me, even that I can understand.

But Luis was just downright rude and displayed such a cold & careless attitude to his CVS customers. Im not coming back here, at least not to this location anyway.

I am a CVS employee of 1 year and must say that all of these people on this board focus on pharmacy and never really say anyhting about the front end. I am certified for Photo and photo supervisor and also certified for shift manager. The management at my store is nice and they always tell me that if they can get rid of some of the useless people I can get a promotion. Anyway on to the bad, we get truck days on Fridays and I am the only one that unloads the truck checks it in and puts it out. Management expects too much of their employees. We are also told to push the CVS brand stuff because the store manager receives a bonus if he sells a certain percentage, well my feelings on that are, i helped sell it where is my bonus. the bullshit about a 2% raise every year is bullshit. If i didn't need this job to pay my bills while I am in college I wouldn't work here. the training is inadequate, they need to revamp their sales sign idea. either dont put them up at all or wait until the store is closed to put them up or have someone come in early and start on them, it causes too much confusion with customers. All in all I have over years of retail experience at everywhere from a mom and pop hardware store to Walmart to CVS as well as other jobs not relating to retail that I won't mention but I jsut think that CVS is the worst company to work for. the management recieves all kinds of bonuses and steak dinners and wine tastings and district events and when I asked why hourly employees aren't allowed to participate its because of "legal liability issues", whatever bonus the store manager recieves I helped him get by doing my job and doing it to the best of my ability I feel that i am entitled to whatever some sort of bonus. For example, every month we get certain items that we are to upsell to the customer, and then store managers and district managers get bonuses depending on how well the store does for that upsell, most of the time its a $1,000.00 bonus to the top store in the district but I am sure that all managers get some sort of incentive otherwise they wouldn't push the issue. Out of all the retail jobs I have worked I must say that CVS is one of the worst, in fact walmart cares more about their employees than CVS does. all CVS cares about is the Salaried management.

CVs is the worst place to work for! we had our busiest day today in a LONG time! and we are a low key store, today was SLAMMED. and it was truck day! I am always on truck day I am the only person that EVER works morning truck and I have no help. I ring register and work on truck, running back and forth all day long no help. But there are always 2 managers in the back working out of the same tote on the same aisle. and they dont have to be bothered with the register. the most they have to do is help a customer find something, or come get me change for the front. And then more than half the time that they come up to get me change they have an attitude. 2 of my mangers/shifts take 20 smoke breaks a day that last at least 5 minutes long each time. The customers are RUDE, half retarded and can't read for s%$#. I got a 16 CENTS raise after 3 years of working there. I wish I could quit so bad but of course I need money. I am looking for a new job but no luck so far. but they day I get out of CVS will be the HAPPIEST day of my life!! And I will NEVER shop there again after I do finally get to quit! The prices are ridiculous I honeslty don't know why ANYONE bothers to shop there! And wal mart is right next to my CVS, Id much rather shop at walmart where everything is at least 1 dollar less if not more! CVS sucks I advise you not to work there cause even if you like it at first, you will one day hate it so much that it literally makes you sick to your stomach knowing you have to work there day in and day out.

I am a cvs employee of a year now started in high school to gain money for collage and i swear that i have never been at any job that cared for customers and there appearence, i think they care to much that it is nearly impossible to make every one happy. ~example~saturdays are the last day of the weeks sale,, by two o clock we are taking the old signs down and puttinng the new ones up. being that i work at a 24 hour store, its not like there is any best time to do this with out at least a handfull of customers getting confused. we do this at 2 so that the customers that like to get next week sales when it is not next week can get it. so the maybe 1-2 hours there are no signs up stating whats on sale were juggling putting up those signs and ringing people up trying to not make them wait, and becuase the corporate office are ran by cheap idiots we can afford to put the right number of people on that day when we need them. Of course if everything is not perfect or god forbid we dont help every single customer who is looking for something becuase there to dumb to read the sign above each isle. working there has shown me how stupid people can be, its gotten to the point now where people are so lazy and expect everything to be handed to them they cant even read, a lady was yelling at me the other day cause the coupon she had for benefiber would not ring probablly cause she had metamucil she instantly got a attitude made a huge scene trying to tell me im the idiot and stating its the same thing, when if it was one the coupon would have registered, and it would have stated Metamucil as well. because Advil, TYlenol, Excedrin, ect. all make your headache go away, does a coupon for ibuprofen allow you to get any of those? NO it doesnt so she embarassed me and herself over a coupon, i could go on and on with the stupidity of corporate and customers, but i dont think people would ever change.

I have worked for CVS as a pharmacy tech for a while and had the worst experience. I just had to quit a few days ago because of a bully co-worker. And in this economic crisis that's the last thing I wanted to do but I had to. I consider myself a very hard and responsible worker. I love my everything about my job. I would put the whole order away in like 2 hours by myself on wednesdays and get everything done a lot faster than anyone else in that place, but this person didn't seem to like me at all and that's ok I didn't expect everyone to like me but she just enjoyed making my life miserable every time we worked together and wouldn't stop no matter what. Every time I had to work with her I felt miserable and she seemed to enjoy it. No matter how hard I tried to ignore her she always found a way to make me feel terrible. I spoke to the pharmacy manager and he didn't care. He is one of those people that doesn't want to be bothered by anything. I spoke to the store manager and he didn't care either so I just had to leave. I am very depressed because I don't think is fair that people mess with your life like that and keep on going like nothing's happened. I called the company's HR department and am waiting to see what will happen.

CVS would'nt have all these problems if they simply gave a sh-- about anything outside Rhode Island and Tom Ryan's a--! my husband is a CVS manager , also known as a 65 hour... 45 hour paid slave. I am serious. It's hard for him to count money, attend their silly little meetings ( and I do mean silly) one year the upper frat boys had silly string and the works, one higher up rode in on his Harley and I do mean into the meeting! Nice that "bird" could afford one,we sure can't! back to his job, toilet cleaning , customer service, schedules, photo machine, lack of decent help since he can hardly pry minimum wage out of his greedy ,bonus hungry DM. If someone calls in, he doesn't have time to call for help because he's alone at the front of the store.then there's the plan a grams, order sent from the upper crust who couldn't do the workload in a week my husband does in a day. Misleading HR told my husband if a manager works over a 45 hour week they start looking into it. MY ASS! that was just another lie! OH! he unloads trucks by himself sometimes as early as 5am then he'll work till at least 7 that night trying to get the crap up! Then God forbid he feels a little short with a customer. There have been many days he has not gone to the bathroom muchless ate the sandwich I send. Bet the "foot" and the "Bird" get theirs! Many manager's work their vacations just to try to stay caught up! But, at least they get to hear about the higher ups trips! We need the Union here! Oh! but the employees have been told if they are caught talking to the Union they will be fired on the spot! We need a few managers to reach down grab their balls and their wallets and get a good attorney... They'd break CVS down like a cheap shot gun! I should sue for alienation of affection! I never see my Husband and when I do he's dead beat tired. I hope Tom Ryand has someone read this for him! It won't do any good but it will at least piss him off good!OH! Tommy boy thanks for sending down the paper for the managers to sign saying they work only 45 hours a week! Guess forcing them to lie makes you feel better.CVS. Common... Valueless... Slaves!

In their ad this week they had a sale on Folger's coffee, 2 for about the price of one. I was low on coffee so I decided to pick this up since they are right down the street.

After brewing a cup of coffee and having a few sips, I noticed the coffee did not taste the way I remember Folger's tasting, it tasted very stale. I looked at the expiration dates, and BOTH CANS OF COFFEE WERE EXPIRED from last year! I went back to CVS to find that about 75% of the Folger's cans that were on sale were expired with 2008 dates.

So CVS determines what's on sale by what's EXPIRED instead of getting rid of the merchandise! I never thought this company would sink THAT low!

A CVS pharmacy is within walking distance of my home, but everytime I go there I walk out feeling tricked into paying too much for something and vow never to go back. It's not that they do anything illegal or even unethical. It's just that CVS seems to live by the code of "buyer beware" and I don't feel like getting into a battle of wits just to by a stick of deodorant. They've brought the "used car salesman" mentality to retail sales.

I am a CVS Pharmacist. I was told at hiring that customer satisfaction was primary and staffing was great. They neglected to tell me that patient safety does not mean more than profit. In spite of my efforts to be cheerful and professional, the conditions are the most horrible that I've worked in. The workload is RIDICULOUS and management is COMPLACENT and hardnosed. In my professional opinion, the working conditions at CVS are physically dangerous to both the pharmacist and the patients receiving prescriptions.

I am currently working 14 hour days with no breaks and insufficient support. When a technician calls in sick, no one will help you cover the hours and you literally have no time to call around looking for help, let alone eat or go to the bathroom.

Very often, 1 pharmacist and 1 technician has to cover a drop off window, a pickup window, a consultation window, a drive up window, 6 phone lines, fill prescriptions, ring them up, ring up non-prescription items and call dr's offices. Management refuses to give you more technician hours.

Labor Laws must be changed to cover Pharmacists. CVS and other pharmacies get away with such terrible working conditions because labor laws don't cover pharmacists. We are in the same category as doctors and lawyers and are exempt from breaks, overtime, etc. There is a huge shortage of pharmacists and the conditions are the main reason. Industry is blaming short staffing on the pharmacist shortage but my observations are that pharmacists are "dropping out" because the conditions are unbearable. The liability to pharmacists is huge and no amount of money is worth a job related heart attack!

Further, the short staffing could be alleviated by hiring sufficient supportive personelle and technicians. In this economy, so many people are out of work and finding responsible techs is no problem.

Also, it should be known that at least in my area, training for pharmacists and techs is basically nil. New pharmacists are put with new techs and neither have had adequate training on the computer software, insurances and ordering. All contributing to delays, mistakes and angry customers for frustrated staff that are trying their best. Short staffing and lack of training is a very bad mix and a public health risk in my opinion. I only wish that patients would consider "why" a person that spent 6 years in higher education has made a mistake or is miserable. Someone who made it through pharmacy school is not stupid or careless. Next time, think maybe he has a headache because he hasn't eaten in 9 hours, he's worked 14 hours without a break or he has 30 people that will be mad at him because their prescription isn't ready or they have to wait.

Some might say, don't work it if you don't want to put up with the conditions. Again, many of us did stop doing it but the economy has brought us back and unfortunately we spent tens of thousands of dollars and years of our life to become pharmacists. Most of us did this to help people, not hurt them.

As a tharapist I sometimes come in contact with someone who is clearly unhappy with thier jobs and are better suited for a different line of work. Such was my experience with CVS pharmacy in Riverside RI. I encountered a female pharmacy worker who had all the charm and interpersonal skills of an emotionally unbalanced prison guard. Needless to say, contact with someone so unpleasant provides CVS competitors with more business than any amount of advertisig could. It certainly has for me.

I've worked for CVS for 5 years now. Working in a close proximity of the corporate office in Woonsocket, RI, I can tell you the New England stores are at least decent with many being quite upscale. The stores in the area are generally run well with mostly decent people in charge. The company really does put a huge emphasis on customer service and many good managers out there try to uphold that, even when a lot of customers tend to be ridiclous and petty.

Working in the north for CVS, the stores are run tight and strict, but in a sensible way. Sure, its retail and there are often times unrealistic goals and too few hours/employees but working there was generally good for a retail pharmacy job.

Four months ago I transferred from my quaint New England store to a store in North Carolina were I now reside. I know every store in NC can't be quite this bad, but a lot of the local ones are really just dumpy and poorly run. In fact, traveling up and down the east coast many times I've visited many CVS stores and it seems like the further south you get, the less cared for they seem, save for Florida which has some really nice, friendly stores.

The working conditions and overall feel of the stores in NC just aren't the same. Many of the employees seem overly friendly at first but start to get annoyed when customers ask them more than one question. Back up north, we had so many demanding Cape Cod area yuppies, that dealing with their ridiclous ways just became part of the job.

The equipment and look of stores in this part of the country are incredibly dated as well. Doing a retail job is hard enough, but when you throw in faulty, non working, or straight up broken equipment is just incredibly frustrating.

The staff isn't even on par either. Most talk to customers like they're handicapped children or in a clearly annoyed tone because they were wondering where the Tylenol is. Not that all retail staff is perfect in any given part of the country but, here they just seem extraodinarily unfit for dealing with the general public.

I really hope all stores outside of the corporate radar are not like they are in North Carolina, CVS can be a tolerable job with the right people. However we seem to have a shortage of those here.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE Terrible!!! I hate this store. Expensive, and terrible customer service. The exployees are probably just upset about there wages because Walgreens, Shop Rite, A&P, Duane Read even the DOLLAR TREE pays better!! I am actually an employee of this store and let me tell you they are the WORST pharmacy chair to work for. They do not take care of there employees. They are really expensive even with an employee discount and thy offer coupons for products that people dont even use. They also trick you by making you think certain product are actually a brand name when actually they are CVS brand products. The have policy to convince customers to by there product and all employees must try to get customers to buy these product. They have contest on which employee can make the most customers buy products they make like 200% profit on. They give a 3% raise once a year on a salary thats low enough as it is. THEY ARE CHEAP! I HATE MY JOB its just convient because its 3 blocks away from my house.

CVS might be the worst chain store of our era. I was spared the experience before leaving Northern California, where Long's still rules the roost, but CVS is now our closest pharmacy. CVS offers the pill-counters terrible wages, while bowing to their wishes in the one area that affects the consumer most, permitting them to refuse to dispense birth control: "CVS policy is ... not to force pharmacists to do things that would violate their religious beliefs." What's next? Will faith healers be hired as pharmacists? I switched my prescriptions to Walgreens, but every so often I will still walk into the CVS next door, only to be greeted with high, tight aisles where it seems that I have to bump three slow people out of the way just to grab a deodorant. Selection is horrible, prices are high, and, worst of all, there's that stupid saver card. I refuse to use that card because whenever I see a guy with one of those "Extra Care" tags on his keychain, I have to instantly conclude that he's a big pussy.

I am a 6th year pharmacy intern who works for CVS in a large city. The problem with CVS is that they send out offer letters to every intern that graces CVS with their presence. This is a problem because most of them can't speak english and have cheated their way through pharmacy school. It's unfair for people like me who busted their butt to get C's and actually understand complicated classes such as Pharmacology or Virology and Antiinfectives. Other than that, CVS is directed toward patient care but with the chopping of hours and pharmacists quitting left and right, it's impossible to take on all the new patient-care initiatives CVS corporate wishes to instill. This equals long waits, mistakes, misfills, HEADACHES. CVS needs to stop acting so desperate and hiring these idiotic pharmacists who just want a paycheck!

Apparently they short employees pay all over the place by doctoring time cards, presumably so management can meet the conditions for their efficiency bonuses and my friend would be fired for saying the word "union" in earshot of anyone who cares. I told him to apply at grocery stores who have employees in the United Food and Commercial Workers union. I worked for such a grocery store before my time in the Marines and its better than what he's doing.

I'm pretty sure that the one liner comments on how great CVS is is coming from the corporate office. They keep tabs on all of the websites that talk about CVS. They are trying to keep an upbeat and positive outlook on the store but it seems very transparent. After all, if someone truly liked what happened in CVS they would use an example, like: I love CVS, I have cancer and they have made every difficult trip to the pharmacy a little ray of sunshine." But they don't they just make some blanket statement like: "CVS stores are bright and friendly and have great sales. Love those extra bucks!" It is all bullshit. I work at a CVS/pharmacy, in the pharmacy. They underpay and understaff. So the poor suckers that stay at the pharmacy get screamed at by the public for long wait times, and have no time what so ever to actually counsel a patient, or even look up to get to know any of our customers. CVS is just setting themselves up for a LAWSUIT!!!!

CVS sucks the customers use their care cards which are supposed to print out coupons for stuff that they have a history of buying..they don't the coupons expire. Nothing labeled as on sale actually rings up as such. The shelves are always empty. "do you have the toilet paper? NO? when do you expect it oh truck day?" Truck day comes "do you have toilet paper No?" The managers always seem like they are being bothered and all the registers are closed except for the photo lab register. Most items are expired. I bought a gallon of milk that was spoiled. Everytime I go in there there is someone new at the registers wonder why that it, must be an awful place to work at.

Great company. tough clients at times.

Like those who complain about not being able to get their refills early. As it happens they are not paying for their medication completely the insurance company is. Therefore the INS gets to decide when they are allowed to refill NOT CVS! (if its a control and the customer pays cash, its up to the Rph to decide if it is ok to fill earlier then when the patient should have ran out due to prescriber directions).

Are there incompetent Rphs. Oh hell yea. Are we all stupid. Hell no!! I went to school for 6 years and I have to counsel every new script and I do it and I have helped many patients.

And with all the other gripes all i can say is you have no idea what goes on behind the counter and what we do for you people. long wait times can be for many reasons. my store if you stay in the store you get your medicine in less then 15 minutes. Thats even with 10 people in front of you. (pretty damn good i think!)

Oh and if something is wrong act on it right away. Never wait a week to then decide to do something. Mistakes happen we are human.

Well i could go on but i cant speak for every cvs only the ones I work at. Good night

Tell me it is too soon to get a refill when I have only a two day supply left. Have a note on a refill that says "COUNSEL: New Drug/Strength." Unable to explain. Insist it is the same as previous refill.Have to take their word for it. Pharmacist not knowledgable.

The only thing I know about CVS Pharmacy is I see them donating a lot on the Extreme Makeover show.  That alone is worth a five star rating.

I work for a 24hr store. I believe that we have a friendly, customer supportative staff. However, it is very disturbing to know that the store managers are getting a $35,000/year bonus! My manager hasn't even touched a delivery truck in at least a year. The supervisors at my store all bust there humps in effort to get things done when they need to be done. We are all deserving of a small piece of that bonus. But no, all corporate cares about is themselves and the bottom line! I guess they can't even give us supervisors a meer $1,000 bonus as we are, in most stores, the reason that the store managers even get theirs. You will get a great experience at most stores. However, if you don't, please try to be more understanding of the employee who doesn't make that much and doesn't want the already expensive items to go up in price and cost you more just so that they can get their 3% raise.

i used to work for the cvs corp.at a local cvs distribution center..and to say the least,it was the worst job of my proffesional life.i went into the place thinking that this is just another put on like all the other jobs do in the interviewing process to make you think that this job will be different and better than any experience you ever had on a job.well it looked good for just as long as it took me to start working with and around the other associates.on my 1 day i find out the reason they were hiring so many at the time i came in was because nearly 30 associates walked out on them the week before i started.wow!!! red light were just going off left and right in my head.what did i get myself into here is what i was thinking...and week by agonizing week..i found out what i was involved with...it was a negative environment like you have never sw on a job in your life, associates written up on a daily basis for having to take care of their family situations, other associates fired for being sick one day or two.the policies are very anti associate at the distribution centers.i know about the stores and the unfair manners that management shows often, but let me tell you one thing..everyone who posts a comment here that is positive about cvs on the work end,go work for a cvs distribution center.you will be glad to work in the stores.it may be bad there, but nothing like where the stores are serviced from..thats 1000% worse

Slowest pharamcy in the world. Most places say 20-30 minutes. You go in CVS and they say maybe in 2 hours. They spend to much time wasting time. never do you need 3 people to wait on some old granny that won't or can't understand she has to pay $12 for her pills when they were $11 last time.

They are Ok, they look more like Walgreens now. Moderately t expensive, just not as cheap as WalMart, like Walgreens. I wish this chain and Walgreens had a better selection Vitamin or Nutritional supplements
at a better price, CoQ10 is expensive.

The pharmacy is increasingly becoming a fixture in our society. And confusion is at times the norm. I encourage you and your readers to check out CVScustomers.COM if you have EVER had any issue or misunderstanding in regards to having a prescription filled at a pharmacy. It is an extremely helpful and informative website. Even for none CVS customers like walgreens, rite aid etc.

CVS bought out Osco here and I don't like it. Osco had a better variety at cheaper prices and friendly service.  CVS here has no service to speak of. We get all our Rx at Walgreens. Also, don't like the layout of CVS - it's weird. No one offers to help you find anything either. When I go to Walgreens, I'm always offered assistance which is nice.

My father has cancer. One of his medications is a pain patch. I'm not sure what the name of it is, though. On June 19, 2007, my father picked up his RX for this pain patch and began using it. On the 21st he began vomiting, and continued to vomit every day for a week. He hadn't had chemo in 6 weeks so we believed that he had a stomach bug. On June 27 he went to his appointments and asked for a refill on this pain patch because he only had 4 left. The doctor said it was too soon for a refill, so my father gave the doctor the box that he got from CVS. The Rx label that CVS put on this medication read "Change every 12 hours" and it should have read "Change every 72 hours." My father was wearing 2 pain patches a day, and he was supposed to be wearing one every 3 days! CVS was overdosing my father on this Rx, which is why he was vomiting! My father was admitted to the hospital for severe dehyration and dangerously low potassium, due to the vomiting for a week straight because of overdosing on this pain patch. CVS could have killed my father. My father is looking into his legal options at this time, because he wants to sue CVS.

Check your perscriptions!!! Make sure they are correct and verify with your doctor!!! Do not trust that the pharmacist to make sure it is correct!

I used to work for cvs and all i can say is i refuse to ever go back to one...i mean the company certainly does not care about there employees and yes a lot of the things are expired which is absolutely gross. But even though the company wasnt to great i still did my best to make every customer happy!!! And how did i get repaid for keeping our customers back...with a 3% raise and a manager that doesnt stand up for her employees...i believe the pharmacy is the best place within cvs!!!!

I don't know in which state or area you guys's CVS is but I have never had a problem with anyone of them and I've been to 10 different ones at least. They're fast, even for my prescription. Maybe it depends on your insurance company. Plus all the coupons they give you are always useful, $4 off here and there is really nice. They are not that much more expensive than grocery stores unless you prefer going to superwalmart.

My local store is great- I just hate the location. There was a small Eckerd's near my workplace and convenient, but when the company changed, the store closed. I temporarily used another pharmacy until this new store opened in a congested area that is on my way home. The store is clean and neat. The cashiers have been courteous and will even hand out available coupons for sale items. No problems calling in, faxing, or picking up prescripts.

My 6 year old grand daughter was given a perscription of remaron 15 mg take 1/2 pill for 4 days then take whole pill.
The perscription was filled as follows:
Remarom 30 mgs take 1/2 pill for 4 days the take whole pill. My daughter and I are nurses and caught it right away, and did not give the pill. Called the Pharmacist and he said "oh we did make a mistake" I said thank goodness we didn't give her that, that she is only 6 and weighs only 50 pounds, and he says oh probally nothing would have happen!
Well Remeron is a drug used in children to sleep and a anxiety pill. Chances are if she would have taken that much medicine she would have not woke up, and all I got was it was a mistake and they would give me a new perscription.
Just stopped all my business there for good!

I am employed by CVS. I enjoy the work I do as a pharmacy technician. The customers at our store are wonderful, they make my day. I also have deep respect for most of the pharmacists that I work with. BUT... I cannot think of anything good to say about the CVS corporation. I would never shop at a CVS. Customers are locked out of the bathrooms, and must do the math on their purchases if they buy more than one item. Corporate CVS puts unreasonable pressures on their pharmacists and treats the rest of their employees like dirt.

i would give cvs a 0 star. why do i need to register my personal info just to save money at this store. wha are they doing with the info they aquire from my purchases. who are they selling ti too? i like walgreens much better becuase they just give you a lower price, no need to sign up for a stupid card and they always have extra manufacutring coupons to help me save extra money and their already low prices. CVS is a rip off. do not shop there, they really do treat their employees badly and it is reflected by how willing their employees are to help me. BOOO!!

I have bought my last prescription at CVS. Nothing but problems. Wrong drug, out of drugs, partial fills, rude, slow and impersonable employees. I have stood in long lines watching a number of employees mill about behind the pharmacy counter having personal conversations while one person waits on customers (usually at a snails pace). I used the telephone refill service only to go there and find the prescrition was not filled. I dropped a prescription off to be filled and could not get back to the store for 6 days and they restocked my drugs and I had to come back again later. And to all of this there is a complete lack of concern by those in charge, all I get is a textbook apology. I can't believe I remained a customer there for as long as I did.

Out of necessity, I sometimes have to go to this pit because the wife feels ill (being married to me might accelerate the process) and I always notice two things: (1) the place is run by underpaid zombies who know nothing and (2) the shoppers are slow and dumb and prevent you from escaping the place in under 15-20 minutes. . .it's like time slows down in CVS. . .

I absolutly loath CVS the one in my area is terrrible. The staff in the pharmacy department are grossly incompetent and have no people skills what-so-ever! They will tell you that they are out of a certain drug only to have you call and get your doctor to call in a change the script so they can tell him "oops we just couldnt find it earier". This is only one of many horror stories i can tell about CVS, once the phamacist on staff asjed me what my perscription number was for a certain drug i was requesting and i told her i didnt know it off hand but it was in their system because i had, had it filled with them previously. She snorted back "well my telephone number is in the phone book!" at this point i asked to speak to the manager, but it was futile the same woman still treats me this way whenever i encounter her in the store. Also i find that in my location the shelves are constantly barren and on at least 2 occasions i have purchased make-up that was past its expiration date.
