He is one of the hottest classic actors ever! Suave ,debonaire, and charming describe Cary Grant. He also had great talent to boot! I will never forget him in such films as Philadelphia Story, to Catch a Thief, North by Northwest, Suspicion, Charade, and many more. It is amazing to me that he never won an Oscar for any of those roles. He certainly should have. It's not necessarily a fact that he had an affair with a guy so I don't let it tarnish my image of him. That's his personal life anyway.

He was so handsome, but at the same time he was secure enough as an actor to allow himself to be the butt of many gags. He never seemed to mind making a picture where his vunerable side was shown. He could act absent minded or be a clutz and we laughed, but always wanted to be like him. Regardless of the role he was playing on screen, we never saw him in a bad light.

He was the definition of suave, sophisticated and debonair. But I think his great appeal lay in his ability to be all that and still be able to do fall on your face humor. That kind of thing is always a killer combination and the reason I liked him as much in movies like “Father Goose” as anything else he ever did. Humor had a way of bringing this untouchably handsome man to a level of reality that actually made him seem accessible. He was a genius at that kind of thing I think because, for all his looks, success, fortune and fame, Cary never forgot that young cockney chap Archibald Leach.

So many great films to his name. His Hitchcock pictures were excellent. "Charade" is a particular favourite among his later films.

He was the most suave & debonair actor ever. No contemporary actor can hold a candle to him. I've had a crush on him ever since I saw him for the first time on screen. He was even fantastic as he aged.

Cary Grant is an excellent actor. His gift for acting is showplaced in films such as To Catch a Thief, An Affair to Remember, and one of the best movies ever... The Philadelphia Story (also starring Katherine Hepburn, and Jimmy Stewart) He has an intellegent sound to his voice so playing the classy guy seemed to be his forte, (even when he played a cat burgular in To Catch a Theif, along side Grace Kelly). 5 stars? absolutely!

I LOVE Cary Grant. Suave, sophisticated, sexy. I just wish he hadn't had a thing with Randolf Scott; that kind of puts a damper on things. Still, a first-rate actor.
