I really like this store!!! I've shopped at Target my whole life and it just gets better and better. You can get stuff there that looks like it should cost way more than it actually does.

I use to be happy but when I decided I wanted something I came all the time to see if I could find it and it seems that they never restock. I had to go and get it on Ebay in the end so I'm really pissed off at them right now.
LALA83 09/05/2005
I love Target unlike the dirty Walmart where the parkee-s shop.
musicprof 08/21/2005
I wish I could say this is going to be the store to kill Wally, but because so many under-educated people still love the Wally, I don't think it will be. The stores are cleaner, the stock is better quality, the shelves are more organized (probably because most of the riff-raff go to Wally), the employees are better educated and friendlier. What Wally inspired to be before they decided to take over the world one town at a time. And for those that claim their return policy is unfair, I say to you keep your reciept if you think you want to return it. Wally don't care if you have a reciept or not because they want you to come there regardless. Target wants to compete for business, not run themselves bankrupt by taking in Wally reject items at Target so theives can make money.
NJBoy177 08/09/2005
Very messy and disorganized.
traderboy 05/20/2005
Target is a satisfying blast of fresh air (compared to the spirit-deadening trudge through ANY Walmart). Excellent parking, deep-well carts that run straight and true, shiny floors, different selections of items, etc. A tad on the high side, price-wise (always look for sales). Amazing place to go muffin-watching (attracts a copious amount of good-looking females). THE best-looking cashiers (of the five women at my local store, three qualify as supermodels). As long as they don't drop the ball, look for Target to dominate the retail business in the next 25 years.
Sydney2 05/07/2005
I usually shop at wal-mart because they're usually cheaper than target, but i do like the fact that target is usually way less crowded, cleaner, has better clothes, and shopping carts that aren't broken.
USA 03/22/2005
Awful anti-consumer return policy. If you have no receipt they just flat out consider you stole it. You can't even exchange the exact same item for a different size.
brittmae 02/07/2005
I love Target. I think a lot of their clothes are great for just layering basics and their Swell Collection of earrings are so cute. Plus, I actually enjoy just browsing around the store at leisure, something I would NEVER do in a Wal-Mart because I would probably burst into flames. Targets kicks Walmart's butt any day of the week.
midwesterner19 02/04/2005
Not as good as Meijer in Ohio and the upper-midwest because the prices and quality are not as good. That said, I do think that Target as far as national chains is the best. The prices are reasonable, the stores are very clean and they have a very wide variety of items.
Golden Bear 01/15/2005
Don't know where we'd be without Target. I even stock up on (non-perishable) grocery items here - they're amazingly cheap.
ShoppingGrandm a 12/27/2004
Tries to be high class but when you walk into a store it is dirty and the workers don't care.
frogger20190 12/12/2004
Give me Target over Wal-Mart any day. I'll pay a few more bucks to get better quality and better service.
Rate Me! 10/17/2004
I enjoy going to Target. Fairly good prices, clean stores, never have to wait in line. Im a shopper who actually goes and looks for something instead of asking an employee where it is so I cant comment on there employees really. Just the cashiers, majority are very friendly and try their best to get the lines moving.
VirileVagabond 10/15/2004
Of the big discount department stores, Target is one of the better ones. When reviewing Target, one can't avoid the obvious comparison with Wal-Mart. Target stores seem to be a bit more expensive and have less selection; however, the stores are less clutter, are stocked with higher quality and trendier items, and are better laid out. The bottom line is that Target is the hipper, younger version of Wal-Mart.
uneek 10/09/2004
You gotta love Target. Its my girlfriends favorite store, and she is a fashion junkie too. I have found a lot of young girls love this place for some reason. A much friendlier atmosphere that wal mart for sure.
fluffytuffy 09/14/2004
I like Target, the stores are bright and clean, not as jammed packed as Wal-Mart is, I have purchased clothes there, mostly slacks, they are fine, have purchased small appliances, gardening stuff, household stuff there with no problems at all. The only thing I hate is check out, very confusing as to who is open and who is not with the staggered checkout stands, don't like that at all and it does keep me from Target at certain times like Xmas.
DonnaJ 08/26/2004
Pretty decent store...Not crazy over there cloths but household items are very nice and decent prices on most of it...There return policy is so much nicer than Wal-Mart... The store is alot cleaner too. People are more helpful and friendly..
MariusQelDroma 08/02/2004
Great pricing on a lot of cool stuff. Not exactly upscale shopping, but very cool for the average Joe and Jane.
annaharris_227 07/13/2004
To me, Target is the high class version of Wal-Mart. Again, I wouldn't buy clothes here. I bought a few shirts here and they ended up shrinking significantly! But I'd definitely buy anything else! The stores are a lot cleaner and more organized in comparison to Wal-Mart. I can shop the CD section at Target and everything is actually in alphabetical order!
kc_gttld 05/28/2004
Great store.
bluvjesus 05/13/2004
target could do a better job of retaining employees if they would hire them fulltime and give them the hours and pay rate to support a family and hire store managers who care about their employees instead of their yearly bonus
Foxbat2104 04/15/2004
I work at Target and it's an OK job, but speaking from a guests perspective, it's a pretty good store. The only thing I don't like is that the cashiers ALWAYS ask you to apply for a Target card. Being an employee, I know that it's the cashier's job, its still very annoying. I also find the non-donation to veterans rather disturbing. Very disturbing actually.
aero43 04/01/2004
YES i dont agree with the non-donating to veterans part of this store, everything else is fine with me.
Willie A. 01/09/2004
I think Target is a good store when it comes to quality and at a nice value.I think they just have to lower their prices some more to compete with Walmart. Now dont get me wrong, but Target isn't the only store that needs to lower prices to compete with Walmart. There are many others.
Moosekarloff 01/09/2004
It's retail outlets like this, K-Mart and that atrocious Wal-Mart that have been the major impetus on the destruction of family businesses and the evisceration of downtown areas all over the country. The recipe? Retailer buys in tremendous, awesome bulk, sells product in huge, centrally located outlets, resists unionization of workers in a big way to keep down labor costs, pays peanuts to the losers who work there, forces those losers to put in non-paying hours off the clock, hires illegal aliens by the score, and gains tax-forgiveness and other favors from knuckleheaded hick local officials, mostly in small cowflop towns, by means of heavy-handed economic terrorist coersion. This is more the typical of Wal-Mart, but poorer cousins Target and K-Mart employ very similar approaches. Between the efforts of these monoliths, more Mom and Pop operations have bitten the dust in the past decade than for any other reason, downtown shopping areas, which were beleagured to begin with, took another coffin nail, and real estate development sprawl continues apace, as Target and other super-retailers usually trail along in their area other businesses (i.e., pukey fastfood restaurants) that the public hardly needs. In this, the presence of Target, Wal-Mart or K-Mart in a community denies local residents a fighting chance to own and operate their own retail businesses profitably, and imposes a form of economic serfdom on those in the area labor pool. Since most of the local economies outside of the Northeast, West Coast and Chicagoland suck big time, jobs at Target/Wal-Mart/K-Mart are the best game in town, which is pretty lame and depressing, and the prime option for the clods living in these backwaters is to march off to the local super-retailer to treadmill away as low-end wage slaves. Now, that's opportunity!!! The best thing that can be said about the super-retailers is that they made that other dubious American commercial initiative, the Shopping Mall, obsolete. Thank goodness!!! Yet the droolers and mind-wiped shovelheads flock out to these super-retailers, zombie-like, and why? They can get a good price on unnecessary, superfluous crap that the TV told them to go out and buy. Yes Master. That's the American Way, folks, and it's enough to make you vomit.
jporterTN 01/08/2004
I love Target, and always find more than I actually need to buy when I go. The stores are clean, well organized and the merchandise is usually better quality than other discount stores. I buy most of my son's clothes there, because the styles are current, and they seem to not wear as quickly as the cheaper brands. The only thing that I don't like is if its not on sale, then the paper products/personal care products are higher than Walmart. However, as far as a shopping experience, its much more pleasant than Walmart. And their clearance prices are always great!
mellybelly1283 12/30/2003
I love Target!!!! It is way better than walmart!!! You might pay a little more, but it's worth it in the long run because they have great customer service.
scarletfeather 12/18/2003
I really like Target. They have great products for the home. My only gripe is that their employees are not that helpful. Ironically, the Wal-Mart customer service associates are nicer, and if what the media says is true, they are probably not treated as well or paid as well!
India-Ink21 11/28/2003
I like Target. I don't buy their clothes, but I really like their housewares. In reference to the response from the idiot who expected not to get fired after critisizing Target to the customers, what did you expect? No store is perfect, grow up!
tvtator 10/29/2003
Good store. I love their home department. The layout needs work though. You usually don't have to wait long in line which is nice. The store is quiet which is another plus. Ten times better than Wal-Mart although a bit pricier at times.
CanadaSucks 10/09/2003
If you are moving into a new apartment for the whole "new job-new city" type of thing, then TARGET is a can't-miss store. Cheap prices on everything from laundry detergent to barstools to kitchenware to candles. Good prices but below-average customer service but I don't care. . .
kolby1973 10/09/2003
I would much rather shop at Target than Wal-Mart anyday. The parking lot is nicer and easier to get around, as is the store. Shopping here at Christmas seems a little easier tha the other department stores as well. I highly recommend it !
Luv2Shop 10/08/2003
Target is the bomb! They have the best workout clothes, home decor, gift items, shoes and accessories! I don't know what I did before Target came along. Now I can afford Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrell type items when I shop at Target. My only dissatisfaction is with their return policy. It discourages me from buying things if I'm indecisive about something. Without your receipt you can only exchange it for the exact same item. Who wants those lousy paper receipts lying around their house all the time! What a painful mess!
will_x0x 09/15/2003
Great, shop at Target... send all your money to FRANCE! Didn't they used to be our allies???
baileyhudson 09/03/2003
I love Target! What can I say. I can't go in the store with out finding something I absolutely love. You can't beat the prices, and on top of that they have sales. I don't even need to shop anywhere else! Target is the best store on earth!
shopper49068 08/05/2003
Target is generally good value for what you pay. Many times, they put items on clearance before any other stores and they are great deals!
dickgozinya 06/25/2003
I was passed an email from a Vietnam War Verteran that disturbed me about this store. As you know most place will make contributions to projects like statues, memorials, or sponser things like special events. Well When the Veterans of Foriegn wars asked target for a donation to the Disabled Vietnam Veterans so They can put up a memorial for them, They were told by the Target Reps that Target Ent doesn't donate money to Things like Veterans memorials and other war related projects. This I find out is quite sad as I emailed the target Execs about this and found out this is true. I will no longer shop there as will all other Vets that have served whether protecting this country on foriegn lands or on our own soil. Remember 911, so many have forgotten already. Semper Fi

If I have to venture into a big discount store, I go to Target. The stores are always clean, and the aisles are wide enough to navigate a cart. I rarely have to wait long in line at Target, which is always a big plus. The selection of merchandise is fairly extensive and consistent, as opposed to a place like Wal-Mart where it's hit-or-miss.
RebelYell1861 05/22/2003
I'm glad something like Target is still surviving despite Wal-Mart's domination. There's not one in my home town, but I've been in a lot of 'em and they're pretty decent stores.
Rick18 05/22/2003
Target is an awesome store...not your typical department store which carries the same old stuff. Lots of different items that you can only find in specialty stores. The employees are pleasant and knowledgeable and it is a great shopping experience...their prices aren't as low as WalMart, but the extra few pennies are worth not getting aggrivated!
The_Decockster 04/21/2003
What's not to love about Target? They have excellent prices and a wide variety. The only thing I probably wouldn't buy at Target is clothes.
kamylienne 04/04/2003
Target's kind of an upscale version of Wal-Mart, kind of like Wal-Mart's trendy cousin. I find that some products are overpriced, but some are good deals, if you know what to look for. I have to say that they are the cleanest and most well-stocked out of this type of store (at least the one that I frequent). The employees tend to seem a little happier and more helpful than their competitors (typically). The atmosphere isn't nearly as rushed as it is in Wal-Mart, I have to admit. They are strangely trendy (which is probably why a lot of things are overpriced). Overall, it's pretty good for some products, but for some products, you'll be better off going to Wal-Mart for price comparisons.
crimson_and_cl over 02/11/2003
Has gotten a whole lot better than it used to be. They have better clothes than wal-mart or k-mart.
ChunkyLover53 02/10/2003
I like going to Target. I find that they have some nice stuff to choose from and the employees are usually helpful. The prices aren't too bad. It certainly beats K-Mart and Wal-Mart.
lukskywlkr. 12/18/2002
I don't get to Target very often, but when I do, I find that their selection is much better than Walmart, and their prices are better on certain things. I don't feel like I'm being run over in Target like I am at Walmart. We are supposed to be getting one locally pretty soon, so I'm jazzed about that.
binjuice 12/09/2002
Target has very bad quality of products sold for higher prices! Although I shop there, the value for money is apalling.
pikachan 02/27/2002
A wonderful store. They have a lot of great deals especially on Sundays. Target features a lot of items to shop for. They have Computer supplies, Art supplies, and school supplies. For the kids, there is a toy section. For BBQs, there is a lot of Barbeque supplies. They have a variety of Videos, and DVDS. They have the latest video game sysems. There is a snack asile that also includes candy. There is Clothing center for Men, Women, Babies, And Children [Girls,Boys seperate].The clearence prices are even wonderful. There are a lot more things that makes this store a wonderful place to shop, but you will have to find out for yourself. Go shopping there anytime. I would reccomend it to anyone in the world. Go there Now!

I really do like Target. I used to live near one, and they were much better than Wal-Mart or K-Mart! I like how clean they are, and their products, too. Plus, my best friend found the cutest fake leather jacket there for 19.99, and it looks so real that my mom was fooled, and my mom owns a real leather coat! Target is great! :)

I absolutly LOVE target!!!!
