Hurricane fans have nothing to worry about. Coach Coker will do a great job! As a former player of his , I can tell you he knows the game, is a great recruiter, and knows how to motivate players. Look out competition!

Coker will do great - he is a tremendous recruiter as proven by his first recruiting class as head coach - #3 in the country and UM's highest ever!

Although I was hoping JJ would come out of retirement, I am way happy that jack-ass Barry Alvarez didn't accept the job (let him get fired for NCAA violations at W). Anyway Coker has always been great. Go Canes.

I've followed Coker's career through the years and he has been a winner in every endeavor. I think it's great he's at the healm of the Canes, and unlike his predecesors, Larry could remain at UM for the rest of his career. Good choice Miami.

UM's offense will keep on rocking, that's for sure - Congrats Coach!

Way to go coach - keep doing what you've been doing.

He'll do just fine, and by the way Munson the Miami fans were thrilled with his appointment and apparently the recruits were too - he closed another solid class (I say another because Coker has been the brains behind recruiting for several years).

Coker has lead Miami to be the high-powered offense that it is today - consistantly top 5 in the country. He is well-spoken, a great recruiter and has a long resume in college football. He will do just fine leading this team.

I guess Miami didn't have too much of a choice. After all, two other guys had turned them down (Alvarez, Wanstedt) and they needed to get on with things. But, I think they needed to get a higher profile coach. Canes fans must be absolutely beside themselves that Davis left.
