With the media glare constantly on the President, I would say that this is fairly important. They have to least make an effort to stay in shape. Bush seems to try to stay in shape. He's been looking a bit haggard lately, it comes with the job I guess. Starting wars is a stressful business.

What happened, are we in the tenth century? Is Dubya going to strap on some chain mail and a broadsword and get medieval with Osama? (Come to think of it that might be kind of entertaining.)

This is certainly not an important quality in a President. After all, we elected William Howard Taft didn't we (sorry Solenoid)? Bush seems to be very athletic and in excellent physical shape (except for some recent problems with his knees).

Important for a leader in the Bronze Age, but I would hope we are past that. Then again, this is America.

He may be in great shape, but nothing will change the fact that he is a limp-wristed blue blood who has learned extreme overcompensation for his physical shortcomings from his father, himself a snivelling and effeminate little weakling. It is pathetic how Bush tries to pass himself off as some kind of rustic manly man has he struts around his ranch with a chainsaw 'clearing brush'. He is not an outdoorsman, because if he were he wouldn't be so dead set on destroying the outdoors in the name of profit. He may have looked kind of good in that little flight suit, but everyone looks good in a flight suit - they're designed that way. Why is this category even on this website? Is Bush some kind of sex symbol for conservative women? Do deeply homophobic but closeted conservative men look up to Bush as some kind of macho ideal to aspire to? I knew conservatives were basically morally vacant idiots, but anyone who thinks that the president's physique is something that should be talked about and admired has more deeply rooted neuroses than any 500$/hour therapist can ever begin to tap into. Bush is not handsome, his face is very simian and his hands are hairy and his eyes are beady and too close together. Any woman (other than Laura) who is sexually attracted to this man needs to have her ovaries ripped out with a barbeque fork so she cannot breed any more idiots (an idea straight from the eugenics endorsed by the Yankee aristocracy).

He's a lot more fit than most people, especia;;y for his age. Also, you see him runnig on TV all the time.

This guy is much more fit than many of our past presidents and probably more fit than most of the people in Congress. He looks like he works out or something, and I'm glad he doesn't have a gut hanging over his pants. . .

The dude is 50+ and runs the mile in less than six minutes. That's pretty damn impressive to me.
