 | Arrian magnus (0) 11/02/2005 | He must have fantastic charisma for people to believe his tripe. After all, Hitler was also a charismatic man. Who lied to his people. And fought unjust wars. And treated POWs badly. And was a coward.

 | LanceRoxas (40) 04/11/2005 | Charisma is somewhat subjective. Many said Clinton had charisma and his detractors would say things like he has as much charisma as Saddam has a chance of being elected pope. I've been in a room when Dubya has walked in and it was purely electric- my fiancee literally had goosebumps- the room was filled with young women to elderly adult men none of whom were let down when he started speaking. He had the crowd laughing and cheering with his warm personality and down to earth appeal. People may hate his politics- just like I did Clinton's- but to deny he has wide charismatic appeal to those he connects with I believe is foolish.

 | Djahuti (54) 04/11/2005 | Please! This man has all the charisma of a soap dish.It takes a well paid team of who knows how many experts to even make him look slightly impressive.

 | EschewObfuscation (61) 10/14/2004 | I'm with Kingbaby and Moosekarloff (though I wouldn't use pervade as a verb) I just don't see the charisma. Clinton had/has charisma, John Kennedy, John Edwards, Ronald Reagan, all do or did. But when you're running against John Kerry it doesn't take much to be the frontrunner in this category. Anyway, it's hard to attribute Bush's lead in the polls, or overall political success, to charisma.

 | abichara (60) 02/10/2004 | GWB has a certain type of charisma. He might not be able to string a sentence together, but the guy is good with the I feel your pain stuff like Clinton was. His impromptu speaking skills are very poor, he has a tendency of saying some very stupid things when speaking off the cuff. Subject-verb agreement seems to be the big issue with him. But get him in front of a teleprompter and he does a decent job of delivering a speech. Don't underestimate Bush in this regard. He is charismatic, remember the days after 9/11?

 | Redoedo (39) 05/18/2003 | This guy wouldn't know charisma if it slapped him in the face. OK, so he's not JFK or FDR and he doesn't have that ability to light up a room or make inspirational speeches, but what does this have to do with running the country? This is only important in bed... Charisma in politics is just a popularity net.
