 | AndrewScott (71) 10/22/2004 | Of course, he has focus. What voters must decide is if his focus has been on the right things.

 | abichara (60) 10/17/2004 | Bush has the focus of a gnat at times. Although he does know how to stay on message politically, the President doesn't seem to have enough discipline to understand complexities. Seems to me that he'd be more content having to deal in a world of absolutes rather than nuance. Like others have pointed out, a President has to be able to handle many things at the same time and understand any linkages that may exist. When one doesn't care to understand nuance, the details kind of get lost on you. That's how mistakes are made.

 | Zacharius (0) 09/25/2004 | Clear to the utmost importance from going to war to selecting new CIA directors. You can say his daddy has his hand/s in this.

 | EschewObfuscation (61) 09/01/2004 | One of his strongest attributes, possibly to a fault. If you rated him here less than a 3, I don't think you know much about your subject.

 | phlip-tout (0) 02/11/2004 | Focus? Yeah, I guess. I mean a flashlight that's not too bright, dim, IS able to focus.

 | ldave_x (0) 01/29/2004 | It's hard to focus when you're eyes are too close together like his.

 | BIGBABY (10) 05/20/2003 | He focuses on the more important issues for the country currently. We are at war, the war should get most attention.

 | Redoedo (39) 05/17/2003 | The President is focused. His problem, however is focusing on more than one thing at the same time. When you're the President, you have to deal with multiple issues at the same time. Bush is intently focused on Iraq, but whatever happened to al-Quaida. The events in recent weeks shows us that they have not been disposed of- they're simply reloading their guns. Meanwhile, the economy is in shambles. Bush has focus- just not enough to handle more than one thing at a time. And he definately cannot focus when delivering a speech, that's for sure.

 | WilShakes1 (0) 02/26/2003 | He's TOO focused on a narrow agenda, incapable of seeing the big picture even in his primary area of concern, the war on Terrorism. as he forgotten bin Laden altogether in his lust for Saddam's head?

 | magellan (153) 02/23/2003 | I'm not sure how you can claim that GWB isn't focused. Since 9/11 he has not wavered for one second on his mission to rid the world of terrorism. He has reorganized the federal government, clamped down on immigration, trampled on civil rights, pissed off virtually every other country on the planet - all with the single mindedness of a man who is damned if he's going to let another 9/11 happen in this country. You can say what you want about his vision and judgement, but it's very difficult to question his focus.

 | rogue (0) 02/20/2003 | Not too bad considering he requires all his focused intelect just to read a prepared speach in public and only make one mistake every hundred words or so...

 | NickDanger (0) 02/10/2003 | His problem is not lack of focus, exactly, it's his inability to focus on more than one thing at a time. Like the spoiled dilettante that he is, he pursues those ends that are personally most pleasing to him (lately, tax cuts for the rich and death for Saddam) and pretty much ignores everything else.
