One of the best comics today. Always enjoyable. I start my day, every day but Sunday, with Duncan. I'd like to see it on Sunday also. I have to get Raising Duncan via email as my local newspaper does not include it.

Chris knows Scotties and brings that special love and humor to every day situations. The strip addresses universal ideas without any sterotypes or cursing. A gem!
Bob53186 02/20/2003
Funny, unusual reversal of characters (guy writes romance novels, wife writes mysteries) and Duncan rules! He knows his scooty behavior!!

I get Raising Duncan online from Comics.com since our paper doesn't carry it any longer. It is a great strip - warm, humourous, and definately rates up there with Peanuts! Our family love this comic strip!

This comic strip appeals to all agelevels from the old and philosophical to the small child. The characters are so human and the Scottish Terrier is most adorable. This is an excellent and amusing way to start the day.
almandinger 02/19/2003
Great humor because it's so real! If the Oregonian carried it, I would subscribe. But I read it regularly on the net.
Bailey'smam 02/19/2003
Raising Duncan is first on my list of things to read each morning! I love the story, the characters, and most of all I love Duncan! Chris Browne knows from experience abuot a Scottie's personality, and portrays it perfectly.
Joy in Akron 02/19/2003
I see my family in this strip time and again. Like "for better or worse" it gives the reader a chance to laugh along with others at life's little ups and downs. Chris Browne knows his characters so well.
scottiemom 02/19/2003
Would love to have this comic in our newspaper. It always brings a smile to my day.

This is one of my all-time favorites, and I was so pleased to learn I could get it delivered each day. Am the proud mama of a Scottish Terror, er Terrier, and I see so many of his antics in Chris Browne's portrayal of Duncan. Keep up the great work, Chris -- there are lots of your devotees a-waiting each day's strip!
pansy 02/19/2003
My favorite comic strip! I loved the special Christmas feature. This is definitely a strip for animal lovers. The Scottie is a hoot!
SoFlaBrat Pack 02/19/2003
Love it - Get it delivered by e-mail daily & can't wait to read it. It always gives me a "chuckle" because I've found that it quite accurately depicts the challenges faced by a family that has chosen to share their home and life with a scottie. It definitely provides "feel good" moments. What more could you ask?
DiCooper 02/19/2003
I wish local papers carried this strip, but I love it so much I have it delivered via email daily.
Anne Dailey 02/19/2003
I love the dog and cat!
LilBDLover 02/19/2003
I have Raising Duncan delivered to my email address every day and can't start the day without it. Now if only my local paper would carry the Sunday edition! Chris Browne is talented and creative, and he really knows Scotties!
jdubrates 02/19/2003
Nicely drawn, but it appears "somebody" has buddies reading this board. NO other strips belong in the same stratosphere as "Peanuts" and "Calvin & Hobbes," let alone do they legitimately 'top' them. Seeing all the comments about how "Raising Duncan" is a true portrayal of scotties, seeing all the comments seem to be from owners of these dogs, tells me that this strip belongs in "Dog Fancy" magazine. Unless there's a "Scotty Fancy." That would be better. Again, great drawing, but 'tis not funny.
spongette 02/19/2003
Wonderful comic strip.
SWeiler940 02/19/2003
I wish this comic were in my local paper, The Columbus Dispatch.
Msbonnie 02/19/2003
Chris MUST be looking in my windows! Except for the cat, he could be writing about my family. I love this comic!!
krzzz 02/19/2003

Princess Margo 02/19/2003
Raising Duncan truly captures the Scottie "tude". Having my own Scottie named Duncan makes me love it even more. Keep 'em coming.
Charlotte Parker 02/19/2003
This is my favorite comic strip. I see my three scotties in it on a regular basis. Chris knows the scottie mystique so well.
kjankola 02/19/2003

I love the comic and only wish one of my area newspapers in Chicagoland carried it. I have bought three or four of the t-shirts with Duncan on them, including most recently two Valentine shirts.

mainlinescotti e 02/19/2003
Every morning before I start my busy day I check out "Raising Duncan" for an automatic smile. I LOVE IT!!!
katcantrell 02/19/2003
Chris Browne has portrayed the personality of the Scottish Terrier to a 'tee'! The cat - who is aloof, but definately in love with his Scottie, Duncan, is hilarious. Duncan is THE success story for Scottie Rescue, (Duncan's first Christmas is a Must-See!) and represents the breed traits wonderfully! Truly what it's like to be 'owned' (and loved) by a Scottie. Adele and Big Daddy are real people, with real bodies, real affection for their fur-kids, and best of all, for each other. They are a refreshing start to my day. Keep em coming, Chris!
thomson2 02/19/2003
I check it every day. Its Great!!!!
