I have never used a condom and had a good experience. It never feels as personal, but maybe I am a bit old fashioned with the fact of I want the experience to be good and the closeness there if I am sleeping with someone. I don't discourage from people using them, as they are certainly a good idea if you don't know the person well enough or are concerned about STD's, but you should be cautious with who you are doing it with anyways and this can be avoided mostly. Condoms do suck!!!

if i could i would rate condoms a zero. i never use a condom! well now that i have found the love of my life Debbie. but yah i dont really count on this rating because i am infertile. so i dont have to worry about getting her pregnant. i know for a fact that niether of us has a std and that we have both tested negative for aids. but even if she did have aids i still wouldnt care because i love her! if she is stuck with aids then damit so will i! its only fair that way. but than again i love her more than anything in this world. she is my world! but yah anyways. condoms make it such an undesirable experiance. and it cuts off the cerculation of your penis. if i did have to use a condom i would deffinatly choose Durex.

I laugh at all the men who want to have sex so badly that when a women even thinks the word condom they fall all over themseleves to put one on. I have told numerous women your taking it raw or not taking it at all and everyone changed their minds and was willing to have sex without using a condom. Now to all you pro condom users i ask you one simply question. Would you have sex with someone who had aids as long as a condom is being used? If your answer is no then that shows even you do not trust the effectiveness of this worthless product. If the answer is no then i ask you this. Why is a condom good enough to protect you when you dont know if the person has an std but it isnt good enough to protect when you know they have an std?

Comdoms are definately better than not using anything. However, I had one to break. That was scary. Forunately, I didn't catch a STD or get pregnant. I don't know about other ladies, but I had a situation when a guy was determined to use a MAGNUM. However, he was not large enough to accommodate that large of a comdom. I didn't want to hurt his feelings by telling him to his face that he was too small. I was NOID about the condom slipping off. We started arguing about it, and I just left. His ego was a bit crushed, but I just had to tell him. He wasn't small but no match for a MAGNUM.

Seems someone is rather uninformed...

Fact: HIV in America is spreading fastest through heterosexual couples, contrary to "popular wisdom."

Fact: The condom is more effective then withdrawal by a factor of four in preventing unwanted pregnancy.

Fact: The withdrawal method provides no barrier to STD's of all types.

Conclusion: Stoned boy is hosed...

Update: monogamous relationships are a lot safer, so Maven is off the hook. :)

Who's posting on this site? Some religious right scaremongers? AIDs? If you're a straight white non IV drug user who doesn't have sex with minorities you have a better chance of being struck by lightening then contracting the HIV.

My favorite form of birth control is the pull out and cum on her face method. Just as effective as any condom and a lot more fun. F abstinance, f it real hard in the butt bareback.

Probably the best single tool against STDs and conception, but a back-up plan is probably a good idea too.

They're good to use as a second barrier (if you double up on birth control methods). Also good to use if you are unsure of STD risk.

They work alright, I suppose, but I have a sister because one didn't work once upon a time. (nice one, dad!)

Though not the highest rated for preventing pregnancies they also have the benafit of preventing disease. If single, that counts too. There are several good condoms for sensitivity and sensation....and they are less messy for the women (sorry, couldnt help myself LOL). If you men feel like you can't feel anything...masterbate with condoms for awhile and it will help...I have friends who swear by it! (I know, I get into some interesting conversations with my male friends)

Didn't know what sex without a condom felt like until I was married. Sure, it's less sensitive, but then all that means is you take longer and she's more happy.

Not sure how condoms have improved over the last decade or so but I never liked them. To people who say it feels good for women but the man can't feel anything. They are so wrong! I hated them, it felt so different. Not a fail safe method, if you're out, a lot of times it's past the point of no return anyway and people will take the risk of just one time I was using one of these when child number 2 came along!

This is one of the best forms available, and although there are a few drawbacks (slight loss of sensitivity, minimal risk of defective product) they are less expensive and risky than many other methods. It's important to know how to store them,as keeping them in your wallet, pocket or hot car will damage them. Also, they DO have expiration dates.

In the words of the great comedian Jimmy Dore Condoms suck, they suck suck suck. I'd rather jerk off, I'm not kidding. Better than nothing though.

Don't be daft don't be silly wear a rain coat on your willy. Supposed to prevent aids and pregnancy but accidents can happen. Abstinance is of course the most fail safe method but if you have to be careful, make sure its on good, if it comes off you could die.

I don't know, usually by the time you get it out and somehow squeeze into the godawful thing the mood can get ruined.. simple and relatively cheap though I guess.

Condoms are ok but dont be cheap because a little break can make you a parent or an std statistic. Oh yeah the Aids virus is smaller than the little microscopic holes in condoms, so use at your own risk. Great protection against aids is to have both partners to have one sexual partner only or just dont have sex.

No matter what they say, comdoms reduce the sensation and are all around uncomfortable and ruin the mood. They are MANDATORY though if you are not in a monogamous relationship to prevent STD's.

These suck. They're probably the best form of birth control after the pill, but, speaking as a guy who has worn them on many occasions, condoms suck. I know that Dr. Ruth says that they really don't take away the feeling, but she's wrong, and how the hell would she know anyway? They make you feel like you've novocained your penis. The only way to make them feel good is to buy the ones with the huge bulbous heads and put a bit of lubricant into the tip so your head can slide around a bit and feel like it's penetrating something. Also, I've had girls tell me that it doesn't feel very good to them either, they like to feel every bump and ridge, and condoms also rub them raw. So it's not just guys who hate condoms. Of course, given no other choice, I'd definitely wear one. Sex with a condom is generally better than no sex at all, though not always.

One of the least effective forms of birth control and a total pleasure-denying hassle for men. Not even that good of a means to prevent STDs. This is a fallback form of BC when nothing else is available, and the couple has to be careful in using it, i.e., withdrawal at climax.

Just a word of advice to young men. Use these till your married, even if the girl is on birth control. It makes a guys life difficult if you don't use one cause a girls on the pill, because after that you get nothing out of using a rubber. And STDs' I've seen a family member with Aids it is one of the saddest things i've ever seen. To women guys are stupid take charge even if he's doin well it only takes one mess up

Follow the directions, make sure they fit properly and condoms will work best (and won't break). They suck but they work.

Pretty effective, so long as it doesn't break. It does decrease the physical pleasure of sex, but it's a price to pay for the prevention of pregnancy. It may be a good idea to have a "back up plan" if the condom breaks.

I think that condoms are the best way to not only prevent pregnancy, but protect from STD's. Condoms have a 99% chance of preventing pregnancy. I do not think its the best choice against pregnency, but when it comes to diseases this is easily the best protector.

Useful for preventing pregnancy and std's, but terrible in a monogamous relationship. Removes all feeling and could always break. But as far as sex in a frat house tying off a six beer bong buzz, condoms are a pretty useful thing to have around.

Simple and fairly effective. Condom breaks can be annoying though.
