procrastination, were all offenders, and we'd probably be a more efficient society if we didnt procrastinate, but hey; its more fun to stay up all night and play video games so you end up working on it at 4 in the morning trying to get it done as fast as possible so you can catch 20 minutes of sleep before having to get up for work/school. Adds another level of difficulty that makes life more interesting.
MissPackRat4Je sus 10/08/2007
Sure, this is a bad habit, but one a lot of people admit to doing. Hey, I'll readily admit that I'm guilty. We all get caught up in things we'd rather do, and put off an important task until, say, tomorrow (which none of us are guaranteed in the first place). Well, let's imagine that about twenty "tomorrows" roll along, and what have we accomplished? Zilch! Nada! Then, the twenty-first "tomorrow" gets here, and we finally get around to tackling the task we were supposed to do (you guessed it) twenty-one days ago! Nobody reading these posts can say they have never done this.
LadyJesusFan77 7 08/08/2007
I think that we can all get hung up on this one, but we should never put off tomorrow what we should do today.
SilverFox 08/08/2007
I had my review all written out on paper and was going to input it here, but my dog ate the paper. That's the only reason I haven't yet written, I mean, input(ted?) my review. Honest. It's not the kind of thing I'd put off. I don't have other things to do that would have distracted me. Honest. I wouldn't be browsing through RIA like this if I had better things to do. Why would I lie? Would you think less of me if I did lie, I mean, if I was in fact a procrastinator? Please answer me right away---don't put it off.

It's called Rateitall for me.

This is a well organized group. My pals and I just returned from the Summer 1998 quarterly meeting of the American Procrastinator's Society held on February 22 last.

Procrastination kills.
madamedragonli ly 05/30/2006
this is a habit that once started becomes a hard one to break. It causes stress and more problems than if things were just dealt with at the time. I know because I am guilty of this. It is the one thing I wish I didn't do.
Donovan 05/30/2006
I dislike this in others but I really hate it when I allow myself to fall prey to it. It takes so long to get caught up when you put things off or if you do you feel so rushed you stress and end up not performing up to your potential.
numbah16tdhaha 05/03/2006
I think I have work I should be doing...
FranksWildYear s 05/03/2006
the worst part is that I sometimes spend more time avoiding getting something done than it would have taken to do it.
Djahuti 05/02/2006
This one can definately catch up with you & I'm guilty of it.
trebon1038 04/27/2006
I sometimes do this but try not to.

I was worse when I was younger. I have hndle on things now.
Miss_Perverse 06/30/2005
I procrastinate. It's a catch-22, in order to stop procrastinating you have to find motivation. But you procrastinate about motivation. It sounds confusing...
Mr Evangel 06/30/2005
Yeah I'm in college and I have problems with this. It's about motivation and learning to overcome lazness
White Diamond 06/03/2005
I am procrastinator, also. I have done some research on it and it doesn't really stem from being lazy. There are all kinds of books out there about helping yourself with the problem. Unfortunately, I'd rather read a good book.
Wid71 05/22/2005
I'm a procrastinator, I'll admit it. I'd do something about it but I just never get around to it...
kattwoman 05/17/2005
this is a bad habit of mine.i put things off until the very last minute that i can and then im running around like crazy getting it all done. i kick myself for not doing it sooner so i wouldnt be under so much pressure. i have improved a little as ive gotten older but thats cuz it takes me longer to things
Molfan 03/20/2005
After reading some of the other posts on procrastination.i agree there are good points and bad ones. It can be bad if you make yourself misereable because everything is put off until the last minute now you are forced to rush. or bad if you feel ill and ignore the symptoms and wait until it could be too late to go to the doctor. good in other ways. Like waiting awhile when the lasted gadget comes out and it drops in price. or biting your tongue when angry and putting off saying something until calmed down.I tend to procrastinate myself sometimes . Good and Bad for me.
Randyman 03/20/2005
Without a doubt my worst fault. Someday I'm going to correct this,....No, seriously, ...never mind.
vetteman03 03/20/2005
If it wasn't for the last minute, nothing would get done!

That Trig test is Friday, huh? I'll study for it as soon as I get off RIA. Hm... 9:00. I think I'll wait tomorrow and do it. (Tomorrow comes) Trig test is tomorrow? Let me call my girlfriend, I haven't talked to her in, like, 4 hours. (Night befalls) Hm.. I wonder if I got any comments. Nope? OK Time to go to bed. (Day of test) OH F--K!!!!!!!!!

You know, I should be cleaning the house right now, but it can wait....
jakemr33 12/12/2004
One of my biggest problems! I have to type a 20 page research paper on War which is due on Monday. I have about 8 pages to go.....I'll wait 'til Sunday night........I FINISHED MY PAPER AND ITS ONLY SATURDAY NIGHT! WOOHOO! Maybe I'm not such a procrastinator after all?
abichara 12/07/2004
It takes a lot of skills not to procrastinate, especially with regards to things that we absolutely have no desire to do. It takes a very determined person not to get trapped into this habit. This is something that I really am trying to overcome. Procrastination means that we're not living a full life; it means wasting time worrying about doing some dreaded task rather than focusing in on other more meaningful things. Not procratinating at the end of the day means that you've become the master of yourself. That is what makes life worth living.
Badunsgirl 12/07/2004
it's not bad almost everyone in the world is a procrasnator, or at least most of the people I know are.
fin_rave 10/18/2004
Just another excuse to masturbate. Now, to break the procrastination habit, yet retain the masturbation one...hmmm.
Seraph 10/07/2004
I'm a terrible procrastinator. As we speak, I'm having fun on RIA instead of working on a frustrating English project I need to have done by Monday. Procrastination is why smart kids get lousy grades. Eh, I'll do it tomorrow.
Jesus_Freak 08/21/2004
one of my worst habits but i do better most of the time while working under the pressure.
AndrewScott 07/20/2004
Usually, but procrastination is not always bad. We all know the early bird gets the worm, but the worm who procrastinates lives to see another day.
idolfreak 05/06/2004
Procrastinating should be avoided at all costs. It causes you to waste time and only leaves you full of regret as to what could have been. If something can be done today, do it today. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone.
nickkicksass 05/01/2004
This is truly the worst bad habit! So hard to break! I have succesfully (well partially) broken it though! It's so much easier in life if you just get something done, or get it done earlier! It frees up time and makes you less stressed, so although it is hard, quit now! You'll be happier!
Boonta23 04/05/2004
I have to admit being a culprit of this.
oldiesmusicfan 101 02/15/2004
Guilty!
OpinionatedGuy 02/15/2004
Why do today what can be put off until tommorow? Therein lies the beauty of procrastination.
jporterTN 01/29/2004
Delaying the inevitable. I'd rather just do it, and get it over with. Then I can really enjoy my down time without the dark cloud of I should be... hanging over my head.
PhranqQ 11/24/2003
...i'll comment later.
scarletfeather 11/06/2003
Yes, procrastination is bad. The good thing about it is it enables you to avoid unpleasantness or conflict. The bad thing about it is you're just postponing the inevitable.
tvtator 11/05/2003
Nothing wrong procrastinating. I can think of a lot of more worse things.
Enkidu 11/02/2003
Is there anyone reading this right now who is NOT procrastinating about something? Procrastination is a wonderful habit, a source of joy to yourself and irritation to people who deserve to be irritated. And besides, what else has such an immediate payoff?
irishgit 11/01/2003
Aaahhh, y'know, I think, y'know maybe I'll get around to leaving a comment sometime later. Tomorrow, yeah tomorrow, or next week or sometime.
JorganVonSting le 09/03/2003
I love to do it. My favorite thing in the whole world. I mean I do do some things, but everyone always tells me, "DON'T PROCRASTINATE" Well, I do, and I like it. GO PROCRASTINATORS!!!!!
adventurous 08/19/2003
Procrastination helps me be efficient because it gives you much less time to do something when you get around to it :)
President -X-D 08/11/2003
I'll write a more detailed opinion later.
