No stars from me. I have fallen off horses, Even Had bricks fall on my head, But nothing compares to the pain and frustration I have encountered with Esurance. My car was a total loss and they are still giving me the run around and its been three weeks. I practically had to talk to the Owner of the company in order to get their NY office on the ball. The totally ripped me off on the price of the car. I had to talk to sixteen different people before they decided to give me any compensation. Even after we settled on the price they still have to send me a ton of paper work which will take at least two weeks to receive it and then two more weeks to send it back. This has been the worse company I have ever encountered. I would consider them the Nazi party of car insurance. STAY AWAY!!!!

Save your money in the long-term and stay away from E-surance. Classic bait-and-switch tactics are used by Esurance. 2 years ago I switched to Esurance with the promise of a great rate. Well, shortly after signing up that rate kept going up, now it is $296.00 more per year than when I signed up! No claims, clean driving record, and the same car that is now 2 years older and E-surance keeps raising my premiums. Goodbye Esurance and buyer beware! (Esurance = NO stars, but it would not let me submit without picking at least one star)

I have State Farm - I pay for premium coverage - so I am covered. So others are covered.... an esurance insured hit me, rightfully her insured esurance should pay to cover repairs = 2,700.00 long story short... esurance has "weasel clauses" so her insurance would not - did not cover her accident. I ended up having State Farm pay for it - which translates to because esurance sucks... I now will have to pay 253.00 more a year ( my rates went up) but then again..... my time is worth something and I don't have 2 -3 HOURS at a time to get thru to Esurance customer service. In a word.... HORRIBLE customer care in my experience.

THEY GET NO STARS FROM ME... ESURANCE is a horrible company to be insured by, in fact they should be investigated for FRAUD. Yes thats right I said it, after cancelling my policy one month in advance, I was charged for the next month with out my AUTHORIZATION, and then explained that my "credit" would not be processed for 10-15 business days. Funny how the money can be taken out in one day but it takes up to 15 for a "credit". Not to mention I had 2 vehicles fully insured by them, never had 1 auto claim or ticket and for some reason my rates just kept creeping up. After speaking with several reps to explain my increasing rates, Esurance explained to me that was a state mandated increase...Come to find out my rates had increased because Esurance took it upon themselves to charge me the MAXIMUM state mandated charge for Texas. They have a shady way of doing business and it really is sad to say because the convenience of printing my documents online is definitly not worth it. GOOD RIDDANCE ESURANCE!

I joined the company soon after they began. my rates were low, and service was GREAT! now that they're more established, i've been deamed "uninsurable" well i called up Progressive, and found out that w/ BETTER COVERAGES i will save over $200/year. Esurance, lets stop wasting money on stupid cartoon commercials, and pass that savings on the me. the insured.

I've been with ESurance for about 2.5 years now. I used to be with state farm insurance. Liability only on a 1985 VW cabriolet- That racked me up $950/6 months. 1 accident, not my fault, and it went up to 1280/6 months. I could have bought another VW for that much money... Anyways, i got fed up wiht them and switched to e-surance. Insured a Corrado and convertible for $750/6 months, about $500 cheaper than state farm insurance, with the same coverage. after 1 year, my rate dropped down to $610. After another year $550. I just added another VW to the collection... so... 3 cars, and my insurance dropped YET AGAIN- $509/6 months. This is without comprehensive though- keep that in mind. SO, with all that said, all you morons who are saying don't go with esurance, you're just a bunch of losers from state farm and farmers insurance, trying to give esurance a bad name so that they'll come back to you. For everyone else- I'd recommend Esurance. I've saved well over $3 grand over the past 2.5 years because of my decision to switch insurance companies.

I had esurance for only 6 months and switched after hearing all the horrible stories. I did not claim with esurance so no experience on that. But when i was with esurance, I once called to get an estimate for renter's insurance. I didn't want to buy it but cs suggested that she can send me the quote so I can review and consider it. I said sure...I received two letters from them since then, I thought they want to convince me to buy so didn't not pay attention to them. Finally, 5 months later, a bill from esurance caught my attention. Turned out they start my insurance the day of the quote! I called and cs was like, oh, we have provided your coverage for 5 months and now you said you didn't buy it? wtf! Now they want me to provide proof that I had coverage from other insurance company during the same time period to reverse the charge. I do have coverage, but why the hell should I prove to them? Big scam!

DO NOT GET ESURANCE!!! FREAUD! SCAM! I have been an esurance customer for several years and have expierenced multiple problems, They failed to make repairs to my vehicle when it was hit by another one of thier insured in 3/03 stating that they would call us back i called every other dasy for 6 months and proved to them i was not at fault then nothing... they diddnt refuse to fix my car they did nothing at all!, the have triple drafted my account on over a dozen occasions costing me a few hundred dollars in fees, the have tried to raise my rates for no reason, the have tried to bill me for coverage on vehicles i removed from my policy over 3 months prior, and most recently when i was hit by an uninsured driver they only repaired the body of the truck and refused to fix the other items related to the accident. I can tell you this They have been reported to the Texas Department of Insurance on more than one occasion. I have spoken with every person in that company under the CEO, He will not take or return my calls.... GET BENT ESURANCE I'm Going back to Allstate atleast they took care of me!

I have _mostly_ good things to say about Esurance but I'm going to preface that by saying that I previously worked in the insurance industry and that I know how to handle insurance companies. A lot of the complaints that I'm hearing about here are caused by communication issues with the company. That doesn't give them a free pass, but if you know how to deal with them (make them run all the MVR and CLUE reports _before_ you pay for your policy) you won't have any issues.I will echo all the billing issues though. They recently charged me for my renewal policy (I pay it in full) a full 20 days _before_ they said they were going to. Thankfully I pay for my policy with a credit card and not my checking account so I wasn't really harmed by this. But had I let them debit my checking account directly I would probably be looking at some overdraft fees and a huge headache as a result of this.I would encourage everybody to pay them with a credit card (don't give them your checking account information) and make sure that they run all of the reports (CLUE, credit and MVR) _prior_ to giving them your payment information. They will do this if you ask them nicely. Don't buy the policy online without speaking to a human being. If you do that you should have a good experience. And they _can_ be cheaper then the rest. That's why I'm still with them. Nobody else comes within $200 of the rate they gave me.

I was a former employee, and the following is my opinion. I would not carry insurance with this company for a number of reasons, even when I was an employee. They are not good to their employees, people are way over worked (especially claims adjusters), I think the company has made some very ethically and morally questionable policies and decisions, they have a demonstrated lack of concern for health and wellbeing of employees, and they screwed the founding employees out of their stock options by forcing a low priced sale of options before the company became too profitable. Rumor has it that a new stock plan has been issued for the senior management, while everyone else is left with the screwed up forced buyout. Nice!!! If they treat their employees like this, imagine what they think about their customers. I have to agree with the other negative comments left here by former employees.
mikeOL123 04/08/2007
iwould not even give Esurance one star! I agree with everyone who says Esurance sucks.

I had Esurance in Southern California. When I wanted to ask a question, there was not a live person to talk to. This was a joke. They only go by email. I thought " how does somebody get a problem fixed in case of an accident?" By email??? The other thing, their rates were highter than most. You'd think they were cheaper because no overhead cost for personel. I rated a minus 5 stars. Shame on you Esurance for those silly comercials.

This company is a rip off! We were hit in a parking lot by their costomer, after 2 months of calls and avoidance we got a offer of 80% of damage because my husband saw the guy about to hit him and honked his horn to alert the driver. According to esurance we had 20% responsiblity because we saw him backing up and had time to honk the horn. Were we supposed to jump out and stop his car??!!!! The report stated the other driver was looking down at parking break release and didn't see our truck,He stated that to the police and it was in the police report. Not sure of this game they are playing but want people to know if they have any dealings with this company you might as well go thtough your own campany and let them recover your deductable. We have not settled!
stevensmith 03/04/2007
I filed claim with Esurance. It took more than a month to solve and even it is not my fault, they decided to pay to the other party who is at fault and raised my insurance. It is ridiculous. I would NOT recommend Esurance to anyone.
seth84 02/14/2007
Got very nice coverage from Esurance that I used to pay Geico $820 for, I now pay $650 every 6 months. I prepay so I don't know about these monthly billing issues people have had in the past. Link a credit card rather than a bank account so the money will be there when they need to expense your account!
tagsj 01/16/2007
I've been a eSurance customer for 4 yrs. I had one claim and they handled well. Their website/billing used to be a bit confusing, but it seems a lot better lately. And, of course, their prices are great. I haven't found better.
dictatorjen619 01/11/2007
Esurance just pulled 352 dollars from my checking account because their "system" didn't catch the payment for the added driver, they said they were charging me only 91 bucks a month when they should have been charging me 149 for the 2 cars, so they decided to take the money i owed them without even getting authorization from me first. I'm cancelling.
urbanstyles 01/03/2007
Even though Esurance may have a great satisfactory rating, or so they will tell you, I believe that the service that I have recieved has been subpar of any other insurance companies that I have dealt with in the past. I would carefully evaluate what services you will be getting for the money that is provided. Esurance charges 32% downpayment with $5 per month service charge, each addtional month is 17% with $5 service charge. If you decide to cancel service, there is a charge of $50 which isnt revealed to you until you get a breakdown of the monies that will be recieved. Damage Resulting I called to cancel my insurance because of an increase in policy coverage not approved by myself, and when I cancelled I noticed the amount differed from what I had added up. I asked the customer service rep to detail the expenses and was informed there was a midterm cancellation fee of $50. This increase justified a legitimate reason to cancel my policy, as Esurance was no longer the best choice/deal for insurance. So I can ditch Esurance and lose $50 bucks or stay with them and lose $50. It's a NO WIN SITUATION.
ZeeZoe 12/27/2006
Their billing system is STUPID, you don't pay your bill they take it on a certain date, so you can't pay early. You have to have the funds right at that second and they date never changes. They dropped me because of too many late payments then tried to charge $50 for dropping me! Went to Geico.. MUCH better AND cheaper.
Wicky 12/19/2006
BEWARE - Once they get your credit card they nickle and dime your credit card. Not a month goes by when I haven't seen BOGUS charges added to my credit card by Esurance. Yes, they take them off but only after you go through hoops like a seal to get the charges taken off. BEWARE do not buy insurance from them once they get your credit card - your done \All the comments from the others especially the one about the condescending prick who is the head of customer service is all true. THe one thing is at least I was not alone in the issues I have had with this company
esurancesucks 12/13/2006
This company is a scam. They are out to get the most money out of you, and make you pay through the nose if you want to leave them. I would not suggest them in a million years as they are very unethical in their business practices.
atopian 11/29/2006
I went with esurance because they were the cheapest for liability only coverage (single, male, <25). Recently after buying a new car, I moved my coverage to full coverage for the new vehicle, and dropped coverage on the old car. I explicility asked the CSR how much I would be billed this coming month, and was assured the amount would be between the old premium (~100) and the new premium (~200). At the beginning of the next billing cycle, I was billed over $500, more than twice the amount of the new premium. After spending a few hours on the phone with esurance, the closest I could get from them was some crap about a "interm payment" but they could not explain to me why that payment was higher than my premium, and higher than even if i had canceled and then renewed. Do not go with esurance, the extra couple of bucks a month is worth getting a reputable company.
BadEsurance 11/28/2006
i've never rate anything, but this time can't stand this anymore. They're the worst customer service ever. They give me the best deal for first year when i was below 25, really appreciated for that. On the second years, the rate increases for $60 without accident or tickets, and just get over 25. I check with the other insurance companies; they all give me a better deal compare to esurance. Of course, i have to let esurance know that if they give me the same deal as the last year or cheaper, if not i'm going to cancel at the end of the current term. The next day, which was a month away from the current term ended, they cancel my account immediatly. I got no insurance, suppose to have a month left on my current tearm, got charged for another $50. Don't know what the heck was that about. I email them back, but never got any response from them. They tried to charge me $50 from my credit card, don't even explain what was that $50 for in the invoice. BEWARE of them, They are just like scam. I'm so mad right now; don't know how to control myself when call them today.
Kim1016 11/04/2006
BEWARE of Esurance -- they find every way they can to make unauthorized - unexpected debits to your credit card. Apparently when you purchase a policy with them your are authorizing them to make any and all debits/charges to your account as they see fit without adequate advance notification. They also quote you very low rates and then increase them after you've purchased. I purchased a policy in 0806 and my monthly payment was increased by $140 by October. Far more than I've ever paid for car insurance when I switched to them for a better rate-- how terribly ironic. Then out of the blue they send me and email that an additional $86 is going to be debited from my account d/t policy adjustments... this is in addition to my already increased premium. If you purchase an esurance policy make sure you buget a couple $100 extra dollars a month for their unauthorized debits. When I called customer service they told me that the increase was because they never recieved the paperwork I faxed. Of course they didn't - if they had they couldn't charge me more! I requested a supervisor and was transferred to a RUDE, condescending - unhelpful prick. He stated that he could not stop the debit even if I immediately refaxed the info. I then stated I wanted to cancel my policy - he was MORE THAN HAPPY to cancel my policy and seemed pleased to tell me that Pennsylvania Law MANDATES that they charge me another $50 for cancelling... um no it doesn't - the law allows them to charge it if they so desire... it doesn't mandate it - another lie. IN SHORT - THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE - THE WORST EVER ON THE PLANET AND YOU MAY AS WELL GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD TO A STRANGER AND SAY "CHARGE AWAY" IF YOUR GOING TO BUY A POLICY WITH THEM.

I just have a general statment re: esurance, and the supporters of it. Now thankfully I did my research before settling on a company for my insurance, but let me just point one thing out. THERE IS NOTHING WORSE IN THIS LIFE THAN.....Being a good driver and only always paying into your policy, but when something does happen, and your car gets totalled, theres no death worse than your insurance company telling you..." sorry, we arent' going to cover you". I have no doubt they would try every way possible to fault their client so as not to have to pay out anything. Think about it. It's happened to me before, and it sucks!!!

WARNING! I was an Esurance customer for several years. I finally got fed up with their web site not working and their multiple billing screwups. I arranged for other insurance and canceled my policy with Esurance effective the end of the coverage period--which was about 6 weeks away. Two weeks later, they charge my credit card for a renewal! When I called them the CSR rep said that their systems don't always work. He did not know how long it would take but they would "try" to process a refund within the next 24 to 48 hours.

BEWARE! We are a repair facility in Northern CA. We have dealt with esurance a couple times, every time its worse. Most recently, (The straw that broke the camels back) We had a vehicle in for some fairly extensive repair, We gave esurance an estimate of $9,200 to repair the vehicle. The Adjuster gave the ok for the estimate, We went ahead and repaired the vehicle, notified the customer and esurance that it had been completed. Esurance sent us a check for $6200!!! We attempted to get a hold of the adjuster for a week before he was willing to call us back, he said the claim was out of his hands and we needed to speak to the regional manager (Head adjuster?) After 2 weeks of no return emails or phone calls from the "Regional Manager" we finally get a call back! With an irate manager on the phone arguing that the parts we used on the car were to expensive! This is after they gave the ok on our estimate. He basically explained that esurance will only cover the cost of the least expensive replacement part avail. He proceeded to tell me that we were going to have to take esurance to court if we wanted to see the rest of our bill and he hung up on me (Thats VERY professional, I can see why he is a manager). So my advise to you, if you ever get into an accident and you are hoping your vehicle will be repaired properly, with good quality parts, hope you are not insured by esurance. From a repair facility's experience: Progressive, Geico and Farmers Will all pay for your vehicle to be fixed properly. What you want are genuine parts made my the manufacturer of the vehicle, not cheap Knockoffs made in China.

I have been an Esurance policy holder since January of 2004. I have two insured vehicles with full coverage. On Thursday, July 13, 2006 we had the misfortune of having a man back into one of our vehicles while our vehicle was legally parked in a parking lot. We called Esurance directly after the accident and started a claim as we have collision coverage. We were emailed with the claims representatives email address and phone number as well as other information. An independent adjustor was contacted and he arrived at our home Monday, July 17 to asses the damage. He was here for no more than 15 - 20 minutes, 10 minutes was taken to look over the damage caused by the accident. After the meeting with the adjustor we scheduled an appointment with a local body shop for an estimate. We soon learned that it would take a little over $2,100 to repair the damage caused by the accident. After obtained the estimate we emailed our claims representative and asked if she would like a copy. She did not. Later that week we were informed by our claims rep that Esurance felt they would only be willing to pay $1055 and some odd cents to repair our vehicle minus the $500 deductible that we have on our policy. Upon learning that not even half the cost of the repairs would be covered we immediately contacted our claims representative by email and phone. The next day she did call my husband and told him that in so many words they were not trying to rip us off and that she would be in contact with the adjustor. That was a lie. She did nothing. Things have been steadily sour from then on. For over a week now our claims representative hasn't been able to answer her phone or return any messages. My husband has left multiple phone messages, I have sent email and she has not contacted us in return. The last few emails I have sent have been returned with a "delivery status notification (failed)" message. The only person to have any results talking to her have been the body shop owner who has been trying to help us get this straightened out. He has been spending more time than he should calling the adjustor and the claims rep. After sending Esurance an email via the customer service website I received a call from our claims reps manager who tried to "schmooz" me. It worked until the original claims rep left a nasty message saying that the lack of communication on her part was the fault of the collision shop and the adjustor. Oh yes, and she claimed that my car is rotten and rusted which is why they won't cover the full costs of the repair. Things have still not been resolved, they still wont return any phone calls even after I called the claims manager who said if I needed anything to call her. BEWARE! They have GREAT policy prices, poor claims service. 9/21/06 Things finally were straightened out as of Sept. 12,2006. The full cost of the repairs was eventually paid. The deductible was also returned to me as they were able to recover it from the other parties insurance. I am still unhappy with the claims process.

I had terrible experience with customer service and the mangement. When you are willing to buy the policy they are eager to take you as customer.when i bought my policy i asked them can i cancel my policy anytime.they didnt not mention anything bout cancellation fee.they will intimate you only throught e-mails.if you fail to receive a notice in e-mail.you are at risk.I havent authorised for direct debit. All i didnt was made a single payment for 6 months.with out any notice they have increased my premium and deducted the amount from bank.when i call the customer service they say they have sent me an e-mail.which i never received.I used to receive all the e-mails from esurance but this particular mail i havent received.i requested to send a copy of sent mail.the customer service was rude and havent sent me even that.Never buy esurnace.

I took out an Esurance policy on my wife and myself and our two vehicles. Esurance gave us a good rate. I didn't like the automatic witdrawals in case there was ever any disputes, but we needed to get insurance relitivly fast. All was good until I called to check if I needed to add my 16 Y/O daughter to the policy (on a learners permit). They said we should add her, so I asked how much it will cost, and they couldn't give me an answer, but they said "It shouldn't be much" Yea right. Next thing I know over $650 is out of my account without warning or explanation. I got 4 other quotes far lower then Esurance with my daughter included. Needless to say Esurance is my ex-insurance company. We are now fighting to get most of the $650+ amount back, but as stated in other complaints they charge a $50 fee to cancel. If you have a choice go with another company !!!
badger61814 05/23/2006
Beware, they claim "you will be shown your final quote before you finish buying your policy". This isn't true, don't give these rip-offs your credit card number! I was completely honest on the application and rate went up $558 a yr. They aren't responding to e-mails, that I casnceled within 2 minutes of finding out what the true rate was. I called, but can I trust them to refund my payment, I don't believe so. BEWARE!!

ESURANCE is by far the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. They Baited and switched me, and then once I complained they said they could not issue a credit, that the credit had to be applied to my account....Yeah right!!! I had to call them every time, I had to send paperwork, I had to follow up!!!!! I had to evenutally go to the BBB to get it resolved. Horrible company. DO NOT BUY INSUANCE THROUGH ESURANCE
leo98711 04/05/2006
They are unethical and thier actions are(or border) on the action of being illegal. I signed up for this company & add all my drive record plus esurance.com pulled my drivers record which increased my rate which I understood. Then 5 days latter, esurance.com deletes all this information on their side and says I did not enter any of that information and raises my rate even higher. I talked to customer seriveces was cursed the first time, than hung up on and the 3rd time I canceled my insurance with them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THE REVIEWS ARE TRUE.
LOVEmyMONEY 02/21/2006
I Dont know about any of you but the service there was awesome. I Had insurance with them for 2 weeks and it was cancelled but it wasnt there fault it was mine! so i called back and everthing worked out just fine. What you people dont know is that as long as you disclose to the agent everything then nothing bad will happen. You guys just try to cheat them out of money that they need to cover claims. If you try to cheat them there going to find out. They know everything I should know i work for one of there competitors that I will not say. Compared to most companies I can access my policy online and I can do everything unlike mine and other compainies that are out there claiming to have "ONLINE ACCESS" Comapany "P" made my insurance lapse because the agent kept getting my adress wrong and i didnt recieve my paperwork so i told them to go to H@#$. Compant "G" was just ridiculous. ESURANCE WAS AWESOME SO I WOULD DEFFINETLY GO WITH THEM AND RECOMEND THEM AS WELL :)
dwilson32 02/16/2006
I can't really comment on claims since I am a good patient and alert driver and have had no accidents (put your darn cell phone down and drive!!!) However, I can report on their prices and customer service. I think that so far they have the fastest and best customer service I have seen. Also, their premiums are a couple of hundred dollars cheaper than Geico (of course depending on the automobile). Geico wanted to charge me over $250 per month for full coverage on a 2005 Honda Civic and I have a clean record. Esurance charges me $135 per month for the same coverage.
Escam252 02/03/2006
I worked in the Sioux Falls, South Dakota Esurance call center a couple years ago, and I can advise all prospective customers to stay away from the Esurance Escam. I was there for almost 2 years and saw the worst boiler room call center tactics I’ve ever witnessed. Don’t buy car insurance from these jerks, and don’t give card numbers to insurance companies. Appalling Example: Insurance companies require new customers to submit Proof of Prior insurance, to verify that a new customer has a recent history of being insured. Esurance requires the same info that can either be submitted by email or letter. At the time I worked there, Esurance didn’t have enough processing people to verify Proof of Prior Insurance, so they fell behind in processing what new customers sent in. They were always behind by at least 4 weeks. Well after customers took out new policies and 15 or so days would go by without proof of prior insurance verified, the company computer would automatically re-rate the policy to reflect no POI. This would dramatically increase the premium and the Esurance system would then use the customers credit card numbers that it stored to rebill the customer for the difference of the re-rate. Many angry customers would call to demand to know why they were billed again, and customers service employees had to trouble-shoot the problem every hour. I finally told my supervisor that if Esurance doesn’t transfer more people to the POI processing area, some state attorney general will investigate. Two and half weeks later people were assigned POI verification. I don’t know if Esurance was intending to bait and switch daily or if the management just didn’t care. There are countless stories of how Esurance treated customers and employees like dirt. And the management is just stupid. If you want to hear more stories let me know.
FrustratedinFl orida 02/03/2006
Simple collision claim from 2005 is still unresolved as of Feb 2006. They finally assigned an appraisal firm that lowballed the ACV and when I tried to negotiate a slightly more realistic value was told that they would stick by the appraisal and send me a check for part of the claim but would withhold the salvage value amount and sales tax amount until they picked up my car and I sent them proof that I had obtained a replacement vehicle......Take it or leave it attitude. Additionally communication is instantaneous when they want your money but takes a few days if it involves a claim. THis is not a 3rd party claim they are my insurer and frustrating beyond belief.

After 4 years of being their customer we had a car theft. they took all info with no problems then it all went to HELL!! the company launched their so called (INVESTIGATION) from the begining the so caled investigator began interviewing members of our family as if it were a criminal investigation then after aprox 3 months the claims adjuster who you could never get a hold of called and said the claim was denied. later we found out they never had any intensions of investigating the theft but to construct probable doughts the local police report stated that the claims manager had spoken with police investigatos expressing their crooked wiews. needdless to say we had no trouble obtaining legal help lawsuit pending. if you were like us esuranse looks like a good deal but you will regrett doing bussiness with these people.

AVOID ESURANCE / ESURANCE COMPLAINTS / ESURANCE SUCKS I am a former claims employee of Esurance. Horrible claims service. horribe / bad insurance = Esurance - rips off customers with shady practices. The Esurance claims adjusters are given 3-5x more claims than other companies. NO time to investigate liability / contact witnesses. Little effort to attempt to collect owed deductibles (no time) no agent to help with claims issues or to help policy holder choose which coverages to buy. esurance under investigation for bad faith in several states for bait and switch as they raise premiums after first month when they run customers credit report. Also bad faith on rental coverage they do not pay what they owe. DO NOT GET RIPPED OFF BY ESURANCE. I HEARD THE COMPLAINTS ALL DAY LONG ON MY PHONE - BAIT AND SWITCH, POOR SERVICE, POOR QUALITY. THEY ALSO TREAT EMPLOYEES HORRIBLY - ESURANCE HAS WORST TURNOVER IN INSURANCE INDUSTRY - DO NOT BUY IT AND DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT WORKING THERE!!!

BEWARE OF FEES!!! Just cancelled my policy that I heve had for over two years and was informed that there is a mid term cancellation fee of $50 that I will be charged. I WAS STUNNED!! I have had car insurance for almost twenty years with several different companies and NEVER was charged an early cxl fee by any of them. Not that I jump from company to company all the time ( I could understand an early cxl fee in the first six months or something to prevent this) but when a better deal comes along I take it. They say it is in my purchase agreement that they supposedly informed me of two years ago so there is no way of having it waived. This is even though I am unable to access my policy information online ( it still only shows my previous term that expired before my renewal in July) what good is this policy if I cannot even print insurance cards? BOTTOM LINE STAY AWAY FROM THIS CROOKED COMPANY!!! Tell everyone you know! If you want to by insurance online buy from a reputable established company such as Geico or Progressive. They may cost a few bucks more but it's a small price to pay to avoid the hassles!

I would not even give Esurance one star! I agree with everyone who says Esurance sucks. I wish we could get the message out so that others could be warned. I thought buying a policy online would be fast and hassle-free but the past 4 weeks have been nothing but a pain. I simply do not have time for this nonsense. I certainly do not want to waste the little free time I have dealing with these idiots. It seems the company just wants to take your money and run. Forget about what is good for or important to the customer. Esurance provides the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. The WORST!!!! The csr's do their little part, whether it be typing a notation or sending an email, and think this is good enough. They think that they have done all they could and the problem is out of their hands. Nobody goes out of there way to actually resolve the issue at hand. Why don't they put me on hold and call someone or better yet get up out of their chairs and actually talk to someone. I am all for technology but their system is living proof that fully automated is no way to run a company. Information simply gets forwarded to the next incapable person. My emails and phone calls were "documented" but nobody reacted to them. I am constantly having to check on things and get back to them, as if I was the customer service rep. They should be paying me! Information I had sent (mailed, emailed and faxed) is always being "requested" or "processed". It was even lost at one point. They were not even able to tell me if a fax was received for 3 days. And then it had to be processed?!! It seems Esurance does not care about their customers because the company as a whole is doing so well and growing so fast and they know other suckers will come along. As easy and fast as it was to sign on with Esurance, after not even a month I am already looking to get out. I would rather pay a little more and deal with people who are actually able to take care of me and actually resolve issues in a timely manner. Let this be a warning to all: Stay away from Esurance! I am going to forward this information to the BBB in hopes of stopping the company of taking advantage of others.

I have had Esurance on 4 different cars over the past 4 or 5 years. I have had claims in that time as well and everything went smooth each time.
EUSRANCE SUCKS 08/15/2005
Do NOT Buy ESURANCE. If you value customer service, answers and fair treatment do NOT Purchase Esurance. This Company recieves The worst rating an individual can possibly give, AND I was only a customer for 3 WEEKS. Well I suppose I'm still a customer until they actually cancel my policy (1 week and counting). Let me say, in this 3 week period my rate doubled due to 'Review' and them claiming to have never recieved previous policy information. Which was sent, several times. They always gave the same answer 'we didn't recieve it'. You have no recourse and then all you can do is watch your rate SKYROCKET. Do yourself a favor and purchase a legit BRAND NAME for your insurance needs. Simple. Dealing with an Insurance company with NO Agents and NO Office is impossible. No answers, only promised followup, which never comes.

DO NOT go for this insurance comapany!!!! After I signed up the Quote seamed to increase dramatically. Not even insured for 27 Days I received 2 bills (within 2 days) one more expensive than the other. When I decided to cancel after being told that once the the rates are finalized I have the right to cancel with out the 50.00 cancellation fee they wanted to charge me. On 8-3-05 I called to cancel and was told by 2 representatives that I would not be charged the fee. Well they charged me anyway. I am in the process of fighting this. I am now told they cannot waive the fee. From what I was told yesterday that all calls are recorded I am demanding they pull my recorded 2 calls and verify what I was told. Dealing with this company has been nothing but stress, money and valuable time out of my work day that I can never get back. Try farmers insurance they are a lot cheaper. DO NOT CHOOSE ESURANCE!!!!!!!!!!
