The Beatles at their best. Each adding in their own little bit and all coming in individually with their instruments. A John Lennon song showing his skill in writing still a ballad and, yet, turning into what Lennon loved the most. Rock n Roll.

Excellent song-but for my money the Jerry Garcia Band does it even better on their live album.

A very pretty song written by Lennon during the Beatles trip to India. During the summer of 1967 The Beatles met Mia and Prudence Farrow while visiting the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Prudence spent a great deal of time by herself in meditation and did not participate in any of the group activities. In an attempt to convince her to join the others, John wrote the song for her. There is nothing sexual and there are no double meanings in the song. It was simply John being good natured, trying to get her to come out of her room.

A beautiful song from The White Album, cool backing vocals, some great guitar work, thoughtful lyrics. One of the reasons The Beatles were so great is that they had dozens and dozens of awesome tracks that weren't hits in addition to the numerous hits they did have. I love the way this tune starts out mellow and progressively grows in power and, in a positive sense, grandeur. Again, great bass work by McCartney on this stellar Lennon track.

I don't know.. I can't help but think Lennon is kinda whiney in this song.

A beautiful song with a beautiful message. Paul's bass playing is masterful, and I love the guitar solo at the end.

Wow, I feel stupid. The only version I've heard was by the Jerry Garcia Band and I thought they wrote it. I don't know about the Beatles version but Jerry's rocks.
