Robert Stanek is a very different sort of fantasy author. His Ruin Mist Chronciles were unlike anything I've ever read. He isn't one for quests for great magical item stories like some others. His characters face much more personal challenges. He truly has an amazing mind. I've also read Sovereign Rule. I am counting down the days until "Fields of Honor" and "Mark of the Dragon" come out.

After reading Keeper Martin's Tale, I got hooked on Stanek's books. I believe Kingdom Alliance is his best work to date and I recommend this author highly. My younguns are fascinated with Magic Lands, another of Mr. Staneks books.
