I bought a Fujitsu Laptop from Fry's. I got the full-extended warranty. It has never worked right. Many hardware problems they have never fixed. On my Fourth time brining it in to be repaired after holding it another 4 months they did nothing to fix it. Instead they tried to charge me 100 bucks just to get my broken computer back. On top of that they want another 500 to allegedly fix it. It is well under there warrantee period. They made a false clam of water damage. I guess they just made it up. They clamed they have pictures. Most of the time this computer has been in their possession or with me not working. I will be filing a lawsuit. Over the years I have heard many bad things about this Frys. I though buying a name brand computer I would be safe. I was wrong! DONT BUY ANYTHING AT FRYS!!! I bought a Triton file server that never worked. I several friends who have bought different things there all have been defective in some way. DONT BUY ANYTHING AT FRYS!!! You have been warned.

FRys Electronics of Woodland Hills California Fry's Electronic of Woodland Hills, California has with out a doubt worst customer service of any store of this type I have ever visited, Specially the computer repair department. I bought two Sony Lap top at this location and I had full warranty coverage for both of this Lap top for 5 years. Fry refuse to repaire these two sony lap tops after numerouse repairs attemps and refuse to replace me with comarible new computer insted they came up with the suggestion that I have Liquide damge on both of my computer, which in fact I did not have any liquid spill or damge on my computer. I asked him to show me where is the damge he couldnot show me the damge and he ran awayand hid himself in one of t6he offcie which is behind the counter and never dare to come out. When I asked him for let me talk to your manager he said I am a manager in charg. I asked for his name and number he gave me store number. Finally I got the name of the store manager from another employee and telephone number. He was on vacation so I left him a message to return my phone call he never return my call. SO consumer when Frys try to sell extra insurance coverage on your electronic items Be CAreful. That is a SCAM. Do not sped extra money. When the time comes to repair the computer or electronic items they come up with an exeuses. They also sold a bad cpu fan to me and a perfect computer blew up. Most of the employees who works at Woodland hills location are not knowledable.

I spent 45 minutes trying to purchase an advertised product. The management is clueless. I went over to the product and brought back the sign of the sale item and they told me that the price was too low and there must have been a misprint in the paper ad along with the store sign that had the advertised price on it. This store is just too bad for words.

Fry's has without a doubt the worst customer service of any store of any type that I have ever seen. Not to mention some of the most clueless employees in the world.

Their selection is impressive, I'll give them that. Even though their customer service is the bottom of the barrel, it's nice to have them around as an option for those items you can't find anywhere else, especially if you don't need help finding or (heaven forbid) returning said items.

i shopped at fry's for years even though our local store was painted like a cow and mooed at you, with several bad experiences. the last time i went there was just stupid. the day before i was discharged from the army after a couple years in afghanistan, i had scruffy hair and still had my beard(required by my military service) i had just woken up and threw an adidas jumpsuit on--i looked like a criminal according to fry's. I need to reitterate that i am not a big strong guy, or particularly violent, or generally in a bad mood, but today was a bad day. i just needed one $35 item and waited in their obnoxious line until it was my turn. i walked to the register that the girl told me to go to and made my purchase. as I was putting my wallet in my back pocket i felt the distinct feeling of being frisked, without thinking i threw an elbow and backed it up turning my body, arm, and wrist, grabbing around a neck. next thing i know there is 16 year old girl lying on the floor with a bloody nose. her manager had told her to forcebly retrieve what he told her i stole, of course i didn't, i feel terrible about what happened, but old reflexes die hard. the manager yelled at me that i was a thief, and was also going to jail for assault, but i put him in a choke hold till he passed out and noone else tried to stop me from leaving but i was pulled over 2 blocks away. the dallas police laughed and let me go saying that they had had previous problems with severel different magagers at fry's. I will never shop at fry's or outpost.com again. i just can't get over the way people were looking at me as i was leaving. ps i have not stolen since i stole a pack of gum when i was in the 3rd grade.

Frys has the best prices! They have the best selection! They make money by having the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. ONLY go there if you know exactly what you want and it's on sale. DO NOT GO THERE if the item is NOT ON SALE, or if you don't know exactly what you want. I recommend looking online (Amazon) then going to Frys to purchase the item. NEVER buy a whole computer from them (unless it is from Sony), NEVER get computer repaired there. ALWAYS return items on the weekday before noon, after than and on the weekends its a MAD HOUSE. NEVER buy anything that has a returned sticker on it, in fact, don't even by the product if ALL you can find is previously returned items. Some products simply DON'T WORK, but Frys will keep selling them untill the stock is out. THEY DON'T RETURN FAILED ITEMS, they just sell them for cheaper the next week. So long as people buy the stuff at half price, some don't bother with returning it. Oh, they've gotten alot better about their Mail in Rebates, but it used to be a huge problem that they woudn't give you enough time or info to get the rebate. And be sure you read the 1 per household = 1 per address. I can't wait for the class action suit agains Frys customer service - sign me up!

This is coming from a view from the other side of things. 1st of all i used to work there until i quit. 2nd 3 starts because you'll either hate it, or love it. this is why for both. FIRST THE GOOD.You will love this place just because of its large selection of items. You can find alot of models of items that other stores dont carry. example, i havent seen any other store carry as big of selection of laptops. If you go in the store knowing what you want and looking for you will love this place. And now for the BAD. Finding help can be hard. Finding good help can be harder. Of the sales people in the computer area, about 25% will be totally honest and get you what you need and want, the rest are just trying to make commission. Good luck finding help in the components section RAM, motherboards, processors they are always understaffed, maybe 1 or 2 employies in that area and like at least 5-10 customers waiting if not more. You also wont find help in the DVD area. Most of the dirt cheap items on sale are made by GQ which is a sub-company of ECS, who makes crappy motherboards.I highly recommend staying away from GQ items, they get alot,ALOT of returns on them, especially the GQ computers that are always on sale for 199. I quit after seeing endless poor customer service by salespeople and poor management not taking anykind of action on those people just because they sale alot of high profit items. side note: if you notice a salesperson trying to persuade you to not buy the item on sale but something else a little better they say but has a higher price, is because the store actually loses money on anything bought thats on sale or in the ad. just like other places. if you try to buy a computer there i suggest bringing someone knowledgable about them so you dont get swindled into paying more than what you need. If you are alone, try talking to different sales people, get to know the kind or person they are. there are a few good workers there that will get you what you need, but its hard to find out which ones. Reminder, they will not take DVD's, games, software, as returns unless it is unopened due to the fact that so many people out there can copy it with a dvd burner and return it. So in the end if you do find a good honest salesperson there, by god get their business card and name because you might not find another. I myself used to even tell my customers to call me for any reason at the store on what they bought and i would help them over the phone if they ever had problems. But than again i was in the military and worked on computers for 4 years so i did have higher work ethics than the others i worked with.

Don't get me wrong, they have an excellent selection of electronics, CD's , computers, etc. But their customer service sucks! When I was looking to buy South Park Season 1 on DVD, I had to go through three employees before I could get someone to help me find it! And even then, the girl that tried to find it kept thinking I was talking about South Park, The Movie! And don't even get me started on their computer repair services! First off, you buy an extended warranty when you purchase your computer. Yet, the warranty doesn't cover a damn thing!! And then when they say they'll keep your computer for two days, it ends up being five days! In my case, they had just gotten around to fixing my computer on the FIFTH day! They were sitting on their asses with absolutely nothing to do when I dropped it off!!

Fry's refused to accept my defective computer for return after numerous repairs by people who looked like computer geeks, but were incompentent. I piled all the boxes and components into a shopping cart, shoved the loaded cart through the door, and delivered it to the customer service area. Fry's refused to authorize or provide documentation of my return, so I reported them to my credit card company (truthfully) as intransigent and belligerant), I eventually got my money back that way.

I will never buy anything from this store again because their customer service and store policy sucks. They don't care about their customer and they act like you are a crook and a liar. I return a DVD because there was a problem with the language audio so they would spend all their time to test out the DVD to make sure I'm not lying. They refuse to refund my money and make me sign a bunch of paperwork just to give me the same product. They also opened up the package to inspect it before giving it to me. And when I leave the place, the guy standing out there checks my receipt and stares at my one item in my hand for a lengthy period of time like I have something to hide. I would definitely not recommend this store to anyone.

Took 3 days to get microwave transfered between stores, it worked 3 days and went out, purchased on onhand, had a discount sticker on it, they assured me it was new and not refurbished, got it home and it didn't even come on period. A total waste of my time. Rebates are painful at best.

Selection is good but customer service is the worst. Don't plan on taking anything back. Does not ever honor rebates and claims rebates are available when they are not. I would not shop at this store.

Never again! I bought an Airlink print server, a case fan and a Coke this week at Fry's. The print server did not work. The case fan had defective screw holes so it could not be screwed onto the case. Then the Coke... figure that can't be a problem, right? Well, the cashier, out of frustration with her register, she started shaking my coke bottle around in front of me!!! I yelled at her to stop shaking my Coke cause I'm about to drink it and she just rolled her eyes at me! The trip back to return the two items was not a great one, either. Apparently, it takes five Fry's employees to credit back a refund. A customer service associate to punch in the details into her computer, then her supervisor to approve... then I'm sent to to cashiers' line to process my credit card! Then the cashier punches the info all over again on her computer, calls not one but two supervisors to approve the transaction! What a waste of time and money! I am never ever going back to Fry's again!

The Wal-Mart of electronic stores. Incredible selection of you-name-it, so-so staff, trouble keeping stuff in stock.

I recently applied at said retailer. After completing three separate interviews all handled in a professional manner, I was scheduled to meet the Store Manager at a prescribed time. I waited over an hour and thirty minutes without an acknowledgement or information of any kind. When I inquired as to when I might possibly be seen, I was told that I was next. This is now almost two hours past our appointment and I had another meeting to attend. When I asked to be rescheduled, I was told that the Manager now had no interest in meeting me. What kind of organization survives with this kind of H.R. skills? I now know why Frys sales people by and large have little knowledge and poor customer service. Their management does not respect the individual or his time and this attitude filters down to the floor.

Fry's is the worst electronics store there is. Re-turning an item is like pulling teeth. They hassle you to get 'store credit' instead of your money back. Every thing you do needs an assistance of about 4 supervisors and managers. They sell you warrantees for $200 that cover nothing! It's just money in their pocket. You wait in line for an hour just to wait at the checkout for 20 minutes. The employees have no computer knowledge at all. They stare at you with a blank face and refuse to get you anywhere but confused. I will never buy anything at Fry's again!

The Home Depot of Electronics. With such bad service you would expect better prices.
